Does anyone have the Fisher-Price Power Plus Swing?

I'm interested in it because you can use battery power or plug it into the wall. I remember how many batteries I went through with DS & DD (it was one of the first batery swings, actually, in 1992), so the wall plug feature really appeals to me. Just wondering if anyone actually has it and what they think of it.

OK, it scares me that nobody has tried it yet. ;)

It looks promising that there are no batteries, but I found my DD really liked the side-to-side motion of the cradle swing we had. This one looks like it only goes front to back.

I have not tried it but wanted to comment that we had what I think was a fisher price swing for DS 2 yr ago. It was a deluxe model with 3 speeds and 15 songs, and we did not go through batteries very quickly. We also invested in rechargables batteries since batteries are such a part of a new moms life.

We used it quite a bit. DS loved to swing and swing fast.

I'll tell you what-I wish they had come out with this swing last year. Luke spent so much time in his swing that we spent about the GNP of a small country on batteries. I'm sure not many people have tried it yet because it is so new still.

I have this swing for my twins! So far they seem to like it, although at this age (12 weeks), I think they prefer their papasan cradle swing (they tend to slump over when they fall asleep in the power plus swing). They are just starting to look at and interact with the little mobile that hangs over the swing. I love the fact that it can be plugged in -- we've already changed the batteries in the other swing more times than I can count!
I also like that the music can play when the swing is off.

Thanks for the feedback!

I guess battery use will vary depending on how often you use the swing. DS didn't use the swing nearly as much as DD did--it was the only place she'd sleep for a while, and the swing had to be on.

I know it doesn't have side to side motion, but I've never had a swing like that anyway becuase they're relatively new.

I love the option of not having to use batteries (we had to change them every two weeks, at least), but I think the availability of both back-and-forth and side-to-side motion is more important.

Thanks again for all the responses. I decided to go for one of the FP cradle swings instead, probably the papasan because I like the colors better and it looks so snugly.
