Has anyone bought any of the workout regimes off of a late night infomercial (or early weekend morning)? I've seen several that are interesting to me:
Six Week Body Makeover (http://www.bodymakeover.com/6wk_main_thurmond.aspx?sid=e1e8fc29c47f44fda64b376 93ea462fa)
Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets (http://www.coresecrets.com/index.php?acnt=GHO00000&gcid=S6580x006&ppcse=goog&keyword=core%20secrets)
Zumba (https://www.zumba.com/english/index.cfm)
The Firm (http://www.firmdirect.com/homepage.asp?source=goog&keyword=the%20firm%20infomercial)
Billy's Boot Camp (http://www.billyblanks.com/homepage.asp?gtse=goog-bb_ad1>kw=billy's%20boot%20camp)
Anyone ever try any of these? I'm starting to think about after the baby. :)
I have the Transfirmer from the Firm. The choreography was a little confusing the first couple of times, but you get the hang of it pretty quick. I had to stop and rewind a couple of times :) I definitely saw a difference after 10 workouts, especially in the butt. I've never had a shapely rear, but the Firm really firms and lifts! Not a complete body change, but everything was tighter. Other DVD's are pretty cheap too, you can find them all over Ebay - you can use the older ones with the transfirmer as well.
I had bought Tae-Bo off of QVC a while ago, but I wound up giving them to a friend. I tried them a few times, but I don't really care for the kickboxing-type moves and it was more impact than I liked.

Thanks, Sue! :)
I bought the Firm (at Target, not from the informercial) a couple years ago and used it every other day for a month - definitely noticed a difference in all the right places. Haven't been so consistent since, and a major drawback of the system is, it turns out I'm actually supposed to USE it to get results. ;)

You mean I can't just watch it? :p ;) No wonder it looked so easy. :p

I bought the TransFirmer. I used it consistently for a few weeks and really liked it. I agree with some of the steps being difficult considering I'm not that coordinated. I lost a lot of motivation...but I need to get back into it.
It's nice because out of the 5 girls doing the routine, 1 does an "easier" way if you can't do what the others are doing. It suggest different handweights, but I didn't have any at the time. I still did the moves but just without the weights and I still felt the burn. I got my husband to do the Ab video with me and he loved it. That is a big compliment considering he knows tons of exercises and ab stuff from his military PT.

I am a HUGE advocate of The Firm. I have all three of their first systems, and I JUST got the Transfirmer. I also have about 30 of their tapes. :o
It works very well; their motto is "Visible Results in 10 Workouts," and it's true. I will say that the tapes are challenging, and you are supposed to do the first few times with no weights (trust me, it may seem a little easy [except figuring out choreography] with no weights, but when you add the weights, it is much more difficult). The only thing with me is that I had to remind myself that I can't just pig out because I'm working out. :p
My personal favorite of the tapes is CardioSculpt (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00029TMS0/ref=sr_11_1/002-3960718-9764803?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=404272) with Allie DelRio from their Body Sculpting System I series. I used it for two months 3-5 days/week before my wedding and I lost two whole dress sizes (from a 14 to a 10)!

The Six Week Body Makeover worked but I quit pretty quickly because after about a week, the thought of chicken made me gag. You do get to eat a lot but for me I was eating so much chicken (according to my body type, red meat was a no-no) that I just couldn't stick with it. But I lost a couple pounds in a week. I have Tae-bo too but haven't really used it...it makes an excellent dust-collector!

I bought The Firm when I was in college a couple of years ago. I followed their calender for when to use what workouts. I could really tell a difference. I recently just got it out from my collection of stuff I never use. I started Monday, and I just got finished with Cardiosculpt a few minutes ago(ok I could only make it through half.) But you have to start somewhere. They also recommend a rest day in between. I am all for that, and you really need that day. I also have Taebo and you can get good results also.
