I have a few questions:

I am going to use black magic roses in my bouquet for sure, but I may add a bit of purple. Does anyone have any red and purple bouquet pics??

Does anyone know if it is possible to use lilacs in wedding bouquets. They were one of my grandmother's favorite flowers and I LOVE them. Are they too fragile to use? I am also guessing they can only be used in the spring, correct?

I also like crysanthemums. What season can you use these in?

Does anyone have pictures of lilac or crysanthemums in bouquets??

Lilacs are one of mine and my SIL's faves... we were both told they are to delicate to use in a bouqet. My wedding was last weekend and the lilacs here were in full bloowm, but from what I know florists can't get them out of season ... not sure they can force them.

Lilacs are blooming right now as far as I know. You have to be kind of careful with them because a lot of people are really allergic to them. They're one of my favorite flowers though - love the smell!

I absolutely love lilacs but was told they were too fragile for a bouquet. Also too fraigrent for the table. I guess it was best anyways - last year was unseasonably cold and the lilacs weren't out yet in northern vermont (I planned on using them as my practice bouquet for the rehearsal).

I love lilacs too, and also wanted to use them but was warned away like the pp's - they wilt and brown by the time the bride's down the aisle, my florist said. :D

She did offer some suggestions for things that also have a delicate look, a nice, fresh scent, and lavender blooms; one of her suggestions was freesia. I ended up changing color schemes but did use yellow and white freesia, it's lovely.
