Did you move to back to your regular purse bags after your kids were pt'd?.

~~~
My children are 4 and 2.5, and not in diapers anymore. Well, my youngest is about 90% trained.
So, I guess I don't need to carry the big bag anymore. I thought I would love the day when I didn't need to carry it... but I still sort of think that I need to carry something bigger. I guess it depends on lifestyle. We are often out for 1/2 or all day, running errands, playdates, swimming, zoo, etc. I like having a place to put sweaters, and cups, and snacks and first aid kit. I also like having wipes, even though I don't have to use them for diaper changes anymore, they are really convenient.
Oh, and I am a diaper bag slut, and thinking I need a Skip Hop Dash for this purpose.
I stopped carrying a diaper bag. I just keep all the extra stuff in the car. Most of the time I just leave the diaper bag for my one-year-old in the car too. I keep a diaper, some wipes, and some cheerios in my purse but only take the diaper bag out if we're going to be gone awhile. But, I've never been much of a diaper bag person so I'm not the best one too answer. ;) :p
My sister who has a 2.5 year old carries a big Ziploc bag with diapers and wipes in it, in her purse. I was just joking a couple of weeks ago about it - and my mother said, "that's what you'll be doing next year!" I have a 16 month old. Anyway, then she tends to bring (and my other sister who has a 3.5 year old also does this) a child's backpack full of toys/books/distractions for when they're going to a restaurant or something, plus snacks. Neither is fully potty trained yet.
I kind of like carrying a diaper bag, too, though I recently have managed to pare it down to the essentials (and a smaller diaper bag) - and I just put my money/purse stuff right in it. I hate to carry two things. But I don't know how I'll feel next year!
Well, I only had a couple months between p-t DD1 and DD2's arrival, BUT I still carried a diaper bag. I find that there's just so much more than diapers that I end up needing. Like, in the case of a recently p-t'ed child, an extra set of panties & pants for accidents. Plus, there's the snacks, sippy cup, crayons or other small diversions, wipes (I think I'll carry wipes the rest of my life they're just so darn useful!), my wallet, glasses, cell phone, etc. So, I'd either be carrying a diaper bag or a ginormous purse. Seemed silly to buy a new purse, esp. since I LOVE my diaper bag (Kecci Mommy Bag in two different colors/patterns).
If I'm going to be out more than a short time, I either carry my backpack diaper bag or a large purse with all the extra stuff in it, for all the reasons mentioned (wipes, change of clothes, sweater, snacks, etc.).
My DD does have her own little backpack for toys and a snack, but I usually end up carrying that too, so I'd rather just have everything in one large bag that I carry.
Depending on what we're doing, I sometimes pack the diaper bag and leave it in the car, and just carry wipes and a snack in my purse.
I think a Skip Hop Dash is a lovely solution. :)
