dh's new job requires him to wear a tie every day. he used to wear them only a couple times a month. i figure i need to go out and buy him about 10 of them - and thus don't want to spend $30-40 per tie like i used to. (though i will probably get him 1 or 2 new nice ones for fathers day).
i don't want anything real cheap/poyester. but also am not looking for imported italian silk. he isn't wearing a suit each day - just dress slacks and button shirt, occasionally with a jacket thrown on.
so, where do you buy ties for our dh?
thanks,

I don't know if this is acceptable to you, but I get DH nice ties at second-hand stores or even Salvation Army. At most I pay $2 for them, 100% silk.

I don't know if you have a Kohl's nearby, but we bought a lot there when DH also had to start wearing them. JCPenney also has some good shirts and ties for CHEAP.

burlington coat factory has some great deals. a lot of the ties can be butt ugly, but if you wade through them you can usually find some great deals.

Have you tried Marshalls or TJMaxx? They have suits there sometimes, so I'd imagine they have ties as well.

I was going to suggest somewhere like Marshalls, TJ Maxx or Ross as well. You can often find designer ties pretty reasonable. Also check out ebay.

My dad shops at www.wildties.com a lot. They are okay quality.

Do you have a Ross near you? They usually have lots of ties.
TJMaxx is great for ties. They are usually brand-name around 10 dollars apiece.

i have a tj maxx right down the street. i never *thought* to check there.
jc penney or burlington coat factory would be a bit of a drive - but i can still check there.
i've never heard of ross. so i guess we don't have one around here (boston).
greenbunny as long as i don't tell dh that i got the ties at salvation army/any consignement, he would be fine with wearing them! he's such a goof at times!
thanks for all the ideas ladies!
