What would you wear to this shower?

I am going to a bridal shower on Sunday afternoon that will involve a lot of walking - we are doing a Sex and the City Scavenger Hunt (http://www.watsonadventures.com/new_york.html#satc) and then having dessert at a local restaurant.

I am so confused about what to wear. I need to wear comfortable walking shoes, but I would prefer to wear a skirt or something fun. I'm short, so I prefer to wear skirts and capris with heels, which is out in this situation.

Any ideas (and please post with shoes)??

ballet flats are very in right now and are a good option for looking stylish and being comfortable. Plus they look great with skirts!
