Welcome Chelsea
I'm gonna start this thread out with a whopper of a question.
When you first started TTC did your DH have any "performance" issues?
I'm on CD12 and DH was gone on a fishing trip over the weekend. I told him when he got home that we would need to start BDing. Well he came home yesterday all ready to get started but he just couldn't "finish" things so to speak. This has happened in the past, mainly when he's been really tired, but I got a different vibe from him, like he only wanted to "finish" while he was on top, and he made a few comments that I can't remember now.
Will this get better?

Threadmistresses: You can close the April thread if that's easier - I made a doc's appt. for tomorrow, which means that if I get my confirmation, I will get it in the month of May, so - I can be graduated in May!
BTW, the nurse I spoke with sounded very positive - she said that 7 BFP's (that's how many I have now) sound extemely promising!
P.S. - I almost don't want to leave you guys... :( Really hoping to see all of you join me in the January '07 Mommies thread very soon!!!

zhanna I think the one bfn you got was a total fluke. Maybe with all the hpt you tried your hcg concentration was down? I would totally ignore it. Congrats again!

Thanks again Chelsea and pacificbliss!
pacificbliss - it was also a digital, which are supposedly the least sensitive. And also - according to my calculations, I was only 9 or 10 DPO on Sat./Sun., which is pretty early, right?

This first 2WW is driving me insane (not that I already wasn't!). The people in my family are blessed at being extremely fertile and I just hope it's passed on to me. :D Any tips for getting through it besides sitting back and relaxing?
Sadie
05-01-2006, 01:08 PM
Welcome Chelsea and Jessica!
Zhanna, I don't think there is any question that you are PG if you have gotten 7 BFPs. :D You are infinitely more likely to get one fluke negative (esp. on a digital test) than to get 7 fluke positives!
Sarah, DH hasn't had any issues, but we really don't talk much about the fact that we are TTC. I think the terminology scares him a little--he was worried about the process becoming too clinical, etc. So basically we have just been going about business as usual, except that I instigate more when the timing is good. It helps that he is pretty clueless about ovulation, etc. in that the whole thing isn't charted/timed/mapped out for him the way it is for me (even though I'm not charting, I'm obviously still aware of what CD I'm on, etc.) So that was a long answer with no useful information! Basically, I don't think you have anything to worry about. My DH thought it would happen immediately, like the first time we BDed off bcp. So I think once your DH sees that it isn't an instantaneous thing he will relax a little. I mean even if you get PG on the first cycle, you still don't find out for 2 weeks!
Swanee, it's hard isn't it? I try to stay busy, but I still think about it all the time!

Just popping in to subscribe...will respond to Q's later. In short, the 2WW drives me nuts too, and so far no performance issues...but we haven't been *really* trying.

Welcome Chelsea.
Sarah - For the five cycles we've TTC, my DH has been ready to go every time. However, we used to do 3 days in a row and the third day was starting to become a challenge, so now I try not to make him do it 3 in a row anymore. We do it 2 in a row or every other day. Important - I try to put in more effort be creative so BDing is more fun and not such a chore. I got a pair of pom poms at the dollar store and they worked quite nicely! Sorry if TMI.
In other news, I'm lame. I POAS this morning and got a BFN. I don't know why I did it. It's only 10 DPO and I had just peed 3 hrs before and I don't even have any symptoms. I think I have a short luteal phase and sometimes I wonder if I was PG before AF came and never knew it. I'll try to wait to test again until 13 DPO since AF usually arrives 11 or 12 DPO. Good luck testing everyone!

05-01-2006, 02:32 PM
Welcome Chelsea and teacher_jessica!
Sarah ~ I remember in the beginning DH would have trouble being "in the mood" and at least one time, finishing was a challenge. I agree with a PP that said to try not to make things too serious. Sometimes if they know exactly what's going on, it freaks them out a bit. Also with us, we weren't this active before TTC so it was an adjustment. We're used to it now but sometimes it is an adjustment.
I'm feeling very positive for you, Zhanna. :D I'm going to miss you!
I hope you are just as fertile as the rest of your family, SwaneeK!
lilhimley ~ It's so hard not to test, huh?! I tested last week when I was almost sure that I hadn't even O'd! How's that for being impatient? :p
When I wasn't charting, we would BD every other day leading up to when I "thought" I would O. Then we'd BD every day that I had EWCM. And finish up with every other day until I felt like I had O'd.

Just checking in.....thanks for the new thread, threadmistresses! We appreciate it!
Things are going okay here, just chuggin along. I got a new thermometer, and temped yesterday and this morning. I've got what a looks like a promising implatation dip started, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I hate being disappointed.

Hi everyone!
I promise to keep up better:o
Welcome to all the new ladies! May your stay be short and sweet:)
Zhanna, I don't think there is any question that you are PG if you have gotten 7 BFPs. You are infinitely more likely to get one fluke negative (esp. on a digital test) than to get 7 fluke positives!
I agree!! Congrats!
MrsJackson05-I hope this is it for you!! Crossing my fingers! When will you be able to test?
lilhimley- I hate to see BFN's:( The last time I tested and got a BFN, I was really upset. I hope you see a BFP real soon and that you just tested to early!
Me: CD13. Just BDing every other day for now. DH told me yesturday that he has a really good feeling about this cycle:eek: :D . He even said he had butterfly type feelings. I suppose we shall see. I will be able to test about May 20th.
I just got over an awful Sinus infection. I have been getting one right after another. Other than that, nothing new with me:)
We did decide that we will continue TTC for the rest of the year and if nothing happens, in January we will go to the next step...the doctor. I am just hoping and praying that we won't have to.
Good luck to everyone!!

3DPO for me and I swear to you that since O day I have had what I call nipple hard ons consistantly. It's not like they are really sensitive like they hurt or anything but they are always erect or whatever you want to call it. Thank god for my few padded bras or I'd be walking around work with my arms crossed all day. So I'm hoping that's a good sign :D
QOTDs: DH had one night of performance issues when we first started. I think it was because I was approaching it as procreation sex. I've learned just to do it like we always do it...and like someone said, instigate it more when it's the right time. As far as how often we BD...not that much really, maybe once or twice a week. I just try to time it right. But we just started (this is cycle #2) so maybe by #3 if it hasn't happened we'll do it more. I'll also probably start temping on Cycle 3.

Well, I went to see my dr. this morning and she said based on my inconsistent cycles and the mid-cycle spotting, I should go to an OB-GYN and get started with some testing. She seems to think that my body is trying to have two AF's since I'm spotting in the middle of my cycle and have been for 5 months now. I selected an OB-GYN and made an appointment but I can get in until June 1st. :( :( I'm so bummed about that. That means there's a whole other cycle wasted because I won't know what's going on. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that somehow my next cycle will be more regular but I'm not holding my breath. I've also decided to continue charting because I'm pretty sure my new dr. is going to be interested in that information and I'd rather have them complete for the most recent months. Anyway, that's what I found out. Pretty much nothing, IMO. Oh well, at least I took the first step to figure things out.

Shanna,
I am glad to hear that you had your appt, sorry no real answers yet. At least you have another appt with an OB/GYN though. Hope that things get straightened out and they can get you on the road to getting your BFP. :)
I know when I went to my first OB/GYN appt, the doctor asked if I had pain on either side about mid-cycle and things like that. I was only having a period 4 times a year naturally, not on an meds. I went for the u/s and bloodwork and got all clear so we knew I didn't have PCOS. Started getting my period on a regular cycle (33 days) following that appt. Meds were the next step for me after that, she said by my next appt (I was bad and didn't go until I got a BFP almost 2 yrs later) I hope you don't need to deal with that much time before your BFP. Hopefully they can get it fixed in only a cycle or 2 and than I can give you a big congrats !!!!!!!! :)

I'm late with this, but a very big congrats to Zhanna!!! I know you're still waiting for official confirmation, but I see no reason for you not to crack open some apple juice and toast your baby on board! Congrats!
Welcome to Chelsea and jessica!!! I hope you both have very short stays with us!
Shanna I'm glad you're doc is moving along with this. I know how frustrating this is for you. My advice is to enjoy this cycle as much as you can, then after you see the OBGYN go from there. It'll be good just to know what's going on.
As for me... today is CD26. I don't have any excting symptoms. I don't have any good or bad hunches about this cycle. I have an appt on May 9, and we'll do a blood test to check if I'm pg, then if not I'll start provera on May 10. Anyone else testing next week?
And thanks again to Shanna and looty for keeping this thread running!!! :)

Welcome Chelsea and teacher_jessica!
Sarah ~ I only remember one time DH had trouble finishing but that was the third time that day. :o He would kill me if he knew that I posted that here. :p
I am so happy for you, Zhanna. I'm sure that this is it for you and I can't wait to follow your pregnancy! I hope to join you in the Jan mommies...corssing my fingers.
Shanna~ Sorry you can't get in until next month but hopefully you will figure out something then and will get pg right away.
SwaneeK~I can't stand the 2ww either. It is harder than waiting for Christmas or your birthday when you are a kid. :) I just try to stay as busy as possible but I still don't forget about it totally. WHen I didn't have my fertility monitor I just tried to start bding a day or two before i thought I would O and then keep going until I was sure that I did O (usually about 1-2 weeks because my cycles started getting wacky).
Lilhimley~ Sorry about the negative. I hope you get a different result in a few days.
Good luck this month j*east. Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones and get pg right away.
MrsJackson~I hope that it is an implantation dip. I don't really know much about charting so I'll just keep my fingers crosse for you.
Miaclear~ I hope the hard nips are a good sign for you too. Maybe we can all go to January mommies together. :D
Twylla~I hope that you don't have to get that provera. I am not testing next week but I am testing this week.
I am trying not to get too excited about this cycle but it is kind of hard. I have already had the usual amount of CM since O and today I felt a little twinges and when I wiped after school today there was a very small amount of pink spotting on the tp. I did spot a few days before Af a couple months ago so I hope that isn't it. I am currently 10-11 DPO and I have heard of implantation spotting so I am hoping that is what it is but I guess I will know for sure by Friday or Saturday. Here's hoping May is a lucky month for me and everyone else in this thread.

Good luck Looty! I've never had spotting mid cycle if I did I'm sure I'd freak. If this is the month for me though I'd be in the Feb mommies thread.... Feb 7th to be exact which I really wanted a Feb baby so maybe ;)

Tremendous thanks to Shanna and Looty for maintaining this thread. I don't know what I would do if I wasn't able to share with everyone here.
Welcome Jessica!
Thanks Yolanda & Looty.
Shanna, sorry you have to wait a whole month to see the OBGYN. At least it gives you time to diligently chart every little thing to let the dr. know that you are serious. And hopefully you are taking some comfort knowing that you are at least taking the next step to finding out answers. Me too, my appt. is May 9th.
Question: My local Dollar Tree doesn't have tests. Any specific other names of dollar-type stores anybody can recommend? Dollar Barn? Dollar Depot? :p

WOW this was a busy thread today!! Here goes....I hope I don't miss anyone.....
Welcome Chelsea & teacher jessica!
Sarah ~ DH has never had performance issues, but rest assured it is completely normal!! We are a little bit backwards because DH was actually ready to ttc before I was. In fact, he put a lot of effort into talking me into it. I think I was more of the “typical guy” – I definitely wanted to have a baby, but it still scarred the sox off me!! I’m sure I would have had a performance issue if I could have. BUT, those fear/feelings are long gone and I’m sure the same will happen for your DH too. One thing that I am so happy about is that we really keep it fun. We laugh and joke and honestly have a good time with it (accept of course when I cry when AF shows).
Swaneek~ I hope you are as fertile as the rest of your family!! I wish I could say the 2ww gets easier, but some months it is and others it isn’t. If you can, resist testing till AF is late…you will save a lot of $$ that way. As for your question, I have very regular cycles. I charted for a year tta so even though I stopped temping to ttc (weird I know) I can really tell what is going on with my body. I always get O pains 1-2 days before O and I can tell from cp & cm exactly what day it occurred. We have also always been pretty “active” so ttc is not that big of a change except that we don’t use a condom that week & just gives us a reason to do it a little extra
Lilhimley~ 10dpo is definitely early so don’t give up yet. My fingers are crossed for you!
MrsJackson~ that sounds very promising!! When can you test?
Yolanda ~ DH says he thinks he got it this time too. He actually had a friend that we haven’t seen in months call him to ask if I was pg. Its literally been since before Christmas and there’s no way she could know we are ttc. He told her I wasn’t (this was just after I got af), and she insisted that I was and said that she thinks I should take an hpt….apparently she had a dream so I am sooooo hoping she has premonitions!!!
Miaclear~ please keep me posted on your 2ww. I am so excited to finally have a cycle buddy!
Ericka_Jarrett~ Its always so good to hear from you. I am so happy that your pg is going so well. Please keep spreading the baby dust!!
Twylla~ I so hope you won’t need that provera!!!
Looty~ I hope this is a good sign!! My fingers are crossed!!!
Shanna~ I’m sorry you have to wait so long, but I am happy that the Dr’s are taking steps to help you get your BFP!
And last, but not least THANK YOU to the Thread Mistresses for the new thread!!!
Okay, I hope that's everyone. Heres to a May filled with lots of BFP's!!!

Thanks for all the welcomes, like I said before, I lurked in the last thread so I am a little familiar with whats going on with everyone.
I will try to do SOs
Welcome teacher jessica I'm a newby too
Sarah DH was nervous about ttc #2 and if he thought we were doing it just to ttc rather than for fun he wasn't as into it and had issues.
Swaneek I too hope you are as fertile as the rest of your family! I am terrible with testing, one bad thing about having an IUD and no AF is I would swear I felt different and had to test every now and then, just wait til I'm in the 2ww!
Lilhimley 10dpo is early, my fingers are crossed for you, give it a couple more days!
MrsJackson I'm not much good at charting but good luck, I hope it is an implantation dip!
Yolanda I hope your DH is right!
Miaclear Fingers crossed for Feb baby for you!
Twylla Maybe having "no exciting symptoms" could lead to a BFP! Hopefully you won't need that dr appt
Looty My fingers are crossed for you!
Shanna Sorry its going to take so long to get in to the dr, hopefully they can get your cycles straightend up real fast and get you a BFP!
Did I miss anyone, I'm sure I did, don't try to do shout outs at 10:30 at night;)

Gosh this thread sure is moving fast. I don't think I can do SO's without missing someone and I don't want to do that so I just want to thank everyone for telling me about what it was like when you first started TTC.
I don't think DH issue was becasue he doesn't want to or is unsure about TTC but more like doing it right, making sure his swimmers get where they are supposed to be, that kind of thing. He thinks that in order to TTC he has one job (get the swimmers to the egg) and it's all up to him. Last cycle we were "practicing BDing" and some stuff leaked out onto the sheets and he said "Great I bet those were the ones that would have gotten you PG"
In other news, I went to my RE yesterday for a very short and sweat appointment, I walked in office doors at 2:28 and walked out at 2:48. Basicly he's pretty sure I'm Oing becasue of my sore BBs before AF and the stupid make me want to cry cramps with AF. He mentioned clomid but I said I wanted to try it without first. Based on my cycle length he told me to either BD every other day starting on CD15 untill I was sure I had Oed or startign on CD15 start using OPK until I got a positive and then start BDing. Since I might not O untill CD25ish and in order to BD everyother day I'd have to wake up at 3:00am when DH gets home, we're opting for the OPKs for now. I went out to the store yesterday and bought a box. I can not believe how expensive they are. I got the "cheapies" I think Answer brand, I'm not to fond of the idea of peeing in a tiny cup everyday, but since I'm going to need at least 10 tests a cycle I just couldn't bring myself to dish out the money for the other ones.
Ok I've bored you for long enough, just want to wish all those waiting to test good luck.
j*east

This thread is out of control so I'll just respond to this:
Last cycle we were "practicing BDing" and some stuff leaked out onto the sheets and he said "Great I bet those were the ones that would have gotten you PG"
I read that whatever falls out is the slower sperms, CM, etc...so don't worry. The fast ones are still inside. :)
Everyone, good luck this week, whether BDing, testing, or waiting. Ah, waiting, my favorite part!
I think my wait is over though. This is CD1 for me, unless I am much mistaken. It's good news, though, because we weren't really trying last month and getting PG that soon would be kind of miraculous. Also, I am psyched to have today be CD1...that means my first cycle off BCP was 28 days and thus hopefully OK. Also, I learned a lot this past cycle...I had every PG symptom and they were ALL fake...sore bbs, mood swings, random tears, nipple sensitivity, cramping, runny nose, etc. Well, they weren't fake, they did exist, but I'm not PG, so I'm chalking them all up to the first cycle off BCP and hormonal weirdness. Live and learn, right?
Have a great day, everyone! :)

Sarah - for OPK's you don't need to PIAC. I used Answer brand a few cycles ago and they are super easy, just gets frustrated to know if it's really positive or not.
P.S. - We BD'd 3 days take 1 off than 3 more days (the last of the last 3 days was my O day) We are due in October

Good morning ladies! I too am impressed at how darn fast this thread is moving! It's going to be many pages long by the time we reach June and hopefully we'll see lots of bfp's by then! ;)
Last month was my first month charting and I didn't start until CD7. I'm currently on CD26 and boy am I feeling the pre-AF cramps!!! I'm just hoping she doesn't show early because my cycle has always been 28 days (before I was charting I used to mark my AF days on a calendar). Saturday should be CD1 for me so we shall see. I really don't think I'm pg so I'm just looking forward to starting a new cycle from CD1 and following along with all of you ladies! :D
I will say this, I started lurking around on the April thread and found it to be so helpful and I'm really excited to be part of the May thread! :p
Question: Which cycle day do you start using OPK's on? I plan to use those along with charting this month (used them last month too) and am just curious!
Good luck everyone!
Ericka_Jarett
05-02-2006, 10:31 AM
Jessica -You get 10 OPK's in a kit (the paperwork inside the kit tells you when you should start taking them based on how long your cycles are., sorry don't have a box of them so can't tell you what it says for sure.)
I personally had better luck just temping than using OPK's, to know for sure if you have a positive is hard to know sometimes. (Here is my chart if it helps any: http://www2.fertilityfriend.com/home/22964)

Only have a minute or two but i just wanted to say that Sarah's Dh's comment made me LOL. That is too funny!
Also to Jessica...if your cycles haev always been 28 days then you could probably start the OPKs on like day 12 and go until you get a +. Sometimes you wont' get one so taht can be frustrating but it is so exciting when you do.
I have had a little cramping last night and today so I am not sure if that means AF is on it's way or not. I really hope not!
This thread is moving crazy fast right now. :p

Well, it looks like we won't be TTC until July now :(. DH's aunt is coming out this summer instead of next, and I promised I would take her granddaughter to Disneyland and go on all the rides that his aunt wouldn't go on. I'm actually pretty okay with it, because now I won't feel pressured to get pg in a few months, so that the baby will be born before they come out to California.

Update on me - I had my doc's appt. today. She said that if I got 9 BFP's and still doubt that I'm pregnant, I am crazy. So, I can be officially graduated as of today... :D
She did take a blood test to check my progesterone levels and other things , I should have the results the day after tomorrow. She also didn't say anything regarding my EDD, so - I am staying with 1/15/07 for now...

Myself.... CD23 and my sensitive nipple issue vanished yesterday afternoon. I can't believe I have to wait another 11 days to test. I told myself I wouldn't obsess this time, not that I really did last time. I only bought 2 tests last time, this time I'm holding out till AF is supposed to arrive on May 13th.
QOTD: Do you currently shop for clothes? Has your habits changed? I just got back from Old Navy and I'm finding myself buying clothes that I can grow in, not maternity clothes (cause I'm a firm believer that buying anything baby related will jinx me) but a lot more loose tops and skirts with elastic. I got this one which is super cute and comfy with elastic

Official congrats, Zhanna!
Uh, I can't remember everything I wanted to say.. I am too behind to do all the SOs I need to!
It's CD 10 for me. I meant to start temping today until I knew I O'd but I forgot. Oh well. We are going to shoot for every other day BDing so we won't get burned out. If we get pg this cycle my EDD would be Jan 30, 2007. DH's Bday is Feb 3, and both his dad and grandfather are exactly one week later- Feb 10 (DH was due 2-10), so maybe that's what we've been waiting on!?!? A girl can hope, right?

QOTD: I haven't bought any new clothes in a few weeks. I'm a big shopper, but I just feel like it would be such a waste to buy something that fits now when I am hoping that it won't fit in a few weeks/months. However, I am trying hard not to live in a constant state of waiting, so I may have to break down and do some shopping soon!

That's good that your RE thinks you're Oing, Sarah. Good news! :) Your DH's comment is hilarious!
I'm glad your cycles seem regular, j*est. And I hope you don't have too wait too long for your good news.

Sorry about the additional delay in TTC, Heather. :(
Since we're talking about it, I'm a Disney freak and cannot pass up a chance to go to Anaheim or Orlando. ;)
Official congrats, Zhanna! I knew you were pg! Yay!
I hope those dates are good luck, Jess! :)
Slight change of plans for me possibly. I selected an RE and asked my NP to do a referral for me. Hopefully that will go through just fine and I can make an appointment soon. Just in case, I'm keeping my obgyn appointment for June 1st though at least until I have the RE appointment.
QOTD: I don't really buy clothes with getting pg in mind. And I definitely don't buy baby clothes because I too feel like I'll jinx it.

QOTD: I really haven't bought any new clothes lately. If I did, I don't think I would buy ones that I could grow into unless I knew I was PG. Otherwise I would feel like I was jinxing myself. OTH, I did buy the bridesmaids dress for my friend's wedding 1-2 sizes bigger, just in case. Her wedding is in Sept. If not, my mom is a wonderful seamstress and can alter it down easily without changing the basic look of the dress.
Thank you for all the welcomes and support in the 2ww...I'm just getting used to it all and trying to learn everyone's names!

Zhanna Then an official congratulations to you!!! What a great year 2007 will be for your family!
miaclear Actually, i do keep it in mind. I don't really change what I buy, but I've changed WHEN I buy a bit. I get a chunk of cash from work every 6 months (I'm on air) but I make sure I save some so that the longest I'll have to go without any of that $ is about 3 months. So I still have a bit of money from my March payout, but I'll be sure to spend the rest sometime next month. That way I'll be able to make it through the first trimester before the next installment, in september. Make sense? But I don't have any superstitions. I'd probably already own some maternity jeans, except everytime I try to look, someone will "recognize" me and start up a conversation, then I mumble someting about my "pg cousin" and try to move along... our station has already had to deal with a few PG rumours, lol.
Heather Lurk away! We need all the cheering on we can get!
Shanna I hope that all the work you're doing right now will be another story of, "As soon as I started making phone calls, we were pregnant." Good luck to you, your time is coming very soon!

Squee, I know it is easier said than done, but try not to get too down. I always have to remind myself that there is only a 20% chance every month, and Dr's give you a year of trying for a reason. Even though it seems like everyone around you is pg right away, truth is that it takes most people longer!!
QOTD This actually just happened to me yesterday ~ I ordered a new bathing suit from Victoria Secret and I got a size medium bottom....they are slightly big, but if I end up PG I have a feeling the small won't get me through September (destination wedding in the fall). If I don't get pg, and hopefully loose a few pounds before summer, I'll just have them taken in slightly....I have to have the straps shortened anyway. I think I will keep the possibility in mind while shopping for spring/summer stuff and try to get stuff that sits a little lower on the waist, or has drawstings or something, but I won't go crazy!!! I see it as positive thinking!!!
I will say that I started using Palmers lotion for stretch marks last month on my belly, hips, and butt. I figured it can't hurt right, and will hopefully prevent them....plus I was hoping it would help the ones I already have on my hips ~ not sure if its my imagine, but I really do think it is working!

we just started this cycle. its only CD9 for me. i'm already soooo anxious and i promised myself i wouldnt get this way. yeah ok.
i just have a bad feeling its going to take forever.
we were lucky w/ DD and got pregnant fairly easily. since having her i feel like my system was and still is out of wack.
i never got AF after having her and ended up going to BCP to get her.
now i'm off and i'm temping again - and its not like it was before. my temps are nuts and cm is non-existitant.
i'm going to buy a new BBT today after work i think. its either the BBT or the fact i'm waking up every nite several times?????

Squee, don't lose hope!
Twylla, I've looked at maternity clothes too. :o But I never have any idea what would fit, and when, and I'd feel like a complete idiot trying stuff on, so I have avoided the temptation. I'm not superstitious either, and I am a planner, so I like to be prepared for things!

Rejoining!!!
Me: Deb (29) - Bday June 11
DH: Ryan (29)
Married: May 8, 2004
Last BCP: June 2004
MC/Stillbirth/Infant Loss: MC 5-1-06
TTC since: 2-2006
Thank you everyone for your support. We hit an all time low yesterday but bounced back and figured we are much stronger than this!!! We have renewed faith and are ready to start TTCing this month - just waiting on AF to be gone.
We had a "chemical" pregnancy so there is no need to wait. We are able to start trying again as soon as we want. DH and I discussed it and we don't want to waste any time.
I am excited, once again, and am looking forward to the journey with you girls. I will only tell our online family about any pregnancy. We've discussed not telling any family members nor friends (in real life) due to the pain it causes when something goes wrong. It will be our secret until I start showing.
So CONGRATS to those how have received BFP recently!!! A Happy and HEALTHY 9 months to you! And Continued luck to those still trying!!!

Deb, glad to have you back! You seem to have a great attitude, which we all know doesn't hurt in the baby-making department. :)

Welcome back LadyD088! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you this month! ;)
Welcome to kiki61872 & Sunshine!
jnshanna I totally agree with you on your statement about the rollercoaster of emotions we call TTC. I'm brand new to TTC but already can see I'm in for one heck of a series of up and down emotions.
SwaneeK I started testing way too early too. The pathetic part of it is that I did it by telling myself I would get it out of my system so I could wait until I was further into dpo... no such luck, I think I've become a POAS addict. :p
allieannie is AF past due? Have you tested? Just curious! :)
Jess71903 Your bd plan sounds like a good one. Are you going to start temping anyways?
miaclear I'm a total shopaholic but have been trying not to shop since I'm hoping that I'll be looking into buying larger clothes soon (boy, I don't think I've ever hoped for that before)!
zhannushka Congratulations on graduating! That's so exciting and I'm happy for you!!! :D
looty I've been super dooper crampy off and on too. I definitely feel like AF is on her way and it certainly brought me down too. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you though... you never know!
To anyone I missed: Good luck and lots of Baby Dust to you!!! :D

MrsKinnison~Thank you for the Welcome:)

LadyD088~Good for you!!!!! My husband and I decided only to tell our "online family" as well, for that very same reason. I wish you all the best:D

Welcome to the new girls, hopefully yourstay will be short!!
I am getting very anxious to get my IUD out on Friday, I can't wait to join in the game. I am a little in the dark on what to expect this first month, with the IUD I think you still O it just can't implant so who knows what CD I will actually be on because I have not had AF since getting my IUD. I did buy some OPKs just for the first month to try and figure out where I am but I really don't know when to start using them, it will just be a waist of money. So this first cycle we will probably just BD lots and in about 4 weeks if we haven't seen af yet then I will start testing. I think I may have Oed about a week ago, I had a lot of the "eggwhite" CM and I am completely dry now so we probably are to late for this month but I really don't know what I am doing with all of that, I have never been a charter with temps or CM.
Good luck to all the BDers this week and testers!!!

So sorry LadyD, glad that you're feeling better.
I'm still waiting for my 1st AF. I had some O cramps last night (Tues.) and the last time we DTD was Monday morning. So we may have caught the window but didn't cover it very well. I'll start my 2w countdown today. Trying to go at least 10 days without testing.
Congratulations, zhannushka!
Good luck everyone!

Last night while trying to go to bed I had some funny cramps, felt like a pin prick low and left in my uterus. I've hardly ever felt when I O but when I have it's much higher and sharper, I'm sure it's not that since I should have Od last Friday. When I moved though they went away. I need to stop over analyzing things most likely.
So I must have messed up the due date calendar cause if I get pg this cycle it's a 1/20 baby. Next cycle would be about a 2/20 baby I think. So even if this cycle isn't the one I'll be excited to try for that Feb baby. Reason being is that I have a family name I want to use as a middle name, which is Valentine...and it'd be so much better if my baby was born in Feb (kinda like not naming a child June who's born in Oct, or Autumn who's born in May). Plus I'm hoping to tell my parents were pg when we go back to MN in July, if I got a BFP this cycle it'd be a long wait till July.
Welcom back LadyD!!!

Welcome to Tamara kiki and welcome back to LadyD! Let's hope we start to see some more BFPs now!
Sadie I'm glad I'm not the only one looking at mat clothes WAY too early, lol. I'm a planner too though, so I know what you mean!
CD 28 here, too bad I don't have "normal" or even "regular" cycles since today would mean testing. Boo. I have my next dr appointment next Tuesday, but DH will be out of town, so that'll be interesting. I'm feeling really down about things today. I keep thinking, oh, that was a bit of nausea, maybe I'm--- no, never mind, that happens every month, I'm just imagining it, ooh, my bbs are tender, maybe- nope I also imagine THAT too. So I'm sort of annoying myself. But then I also have a bunch of people around me due this summer and fall, and not me, so that makes me feel sad too. I'm just having one of those woe-is-me times, where I feel like everyone else gets pg in the first 6 months or earlier, and here I am in my TENTH month! Grrr...
anyway, Happy Hump Day!

Just some general shout outs because I am tired.
I hope that all the new ladies have short, pleasant stays. (I sound like a person working in the hotel or hospital industry.):p
Sorry that there are some ladies that are feeling down. I have been there for a while earlier this cycle and I am hoping that I don't have to return there next cycle. It is very hard emotionally and for me it is even worse because I don't feel like I have anyone IRL to talk to about it. Try to keep your heads up and your legs open. (Sorry if that was too vulgar):o
I am impatiently waiting it out a little while longer. I always get nervous at this point in my cycle because I really want to be pg and I am nervous that AF is going to show or I am going to get a - on a test which will instantaneously bring AF on. I am trying to be positive but then I warn myself about that too. Sheesh...this stuff is confusing to your mind/emotions. I don't have any more cramping and no spotting so if that continues tomorrow I will pick up a test on my way home. Please say a prayer for me or cross your fingers for me (or both)!

Welcome Sunshine and Kiki!
Twylla - I totally feel your pain of waiting while a new person I know turns up pregnant all the time. I'm in HR at my company so I go over maternity leave with all of our pregnant employees and it feels like it's a neverending stream of them. I'm only in my 3rd cycle TTC, but it's after a MC, so I'm extra worried and nervous. Oh, and everyone telling me to relax about it doesn't help much either.
Squee - I know it's an emotional roller coaster, but don't give up. I won't if you won't. :o
Looty - I am crossing my fingers for you.
Today I'm 12DPO and my temp went down this morning and I'm having cramping so I'm sure AF is right around the corner so I'm afraid I'm out for this month as my cycles are definitely more than 28 days. Good news is that I have a Dr. appt with a fertility specialist to discuss my short luteal phases. At the very least, I should get some good info. I'll keep reading and writing though. Good luck to those testing soon!

Sadie, I think I might pass out, too, when and if I finally get a BFP!!
teacher_jessica, Count me in as an addict, too!!
Today is only CD 21...argh! I bought a BBT because last month kinda worse us out!! BD a lot and not knowing exactly when. I told DH that we could plan a little bit better if I started charted. Hopefully my BBT will arrive before my next cycle or hopefully there won't be a next cycle for while :)
I'm hoping for lots of BFPs this month...good luck everyone!!
Twylla
05-03-2006, 09:02 PM
SwaneeKWe get a bit worn out too, so now we BD every other day, or every third day occasionally. That seems to help. Plus, that makes it feel more romatic and less of a "chore" for us.
jnshanna
05-03-2006, 09:21 PM
Goodness, could we be much busier here? I'm having a hard time keeping up! Like another PP said, hopefully this means we'll have lots of BFP's this month! :)
Welcome Tamara and kiki! :D
Hmmm, interesting idea, MrsK. It might be a good idea to start using the lotion early. I might have to do that too. :)
Welcome back, Deb. I'm glad you are able to get back at TTC so soon. Lots of luck to you! :)
I hope the IUD doesn't mess up your cycle too much, Chelsea.
Hopefully those pains were because of some implantation going on, miaclear!
Aw Twylla. The emotions of TTC really suck, huh?! I wish I could somehow make it better. I hope you get good new soon. :)
LOL looty! Your comment made me giggle! Hang in there. There's not much time left. Just keep yourself occupied as much as possible. I have all crossables crossed for you!!
Sadie
05-03-2006, 09:22 PM
So, I think I'm going to start temping tomorrow. AF should (if this cycle is the same as last month's) be here Sunday, and I would like to chart for a couple cycles just to see if I'm even O'ing. Ask me tomorrow if I was able to actually follow through..I work from home and I, um, really like to sleep in. I haven't used an alarm clock in a year. :o
Oh, I also tested again today, BFN. I'm thinking maybe I'll start a ticker tracking how many BFNs I've gotten, HA!
miaclear
05-03-2006, 09:37 PM
Hopefully those pains were because of some implantation going on, miaclear!
I never really thought about that, didn't know the time it took from fertilization to implantation but after some quick googling looks like it's around five to seven days (I was likely at 4-5 days). Things that make you go hmmmm.
Twylla

Hey all! I'm on CD3 so I'm still in the optimistic phase for this month.
Keep your chin up, and your legs open! This was too funny. I guess I'm vulgar, too!
miaclear, I hope your twinges were implantation! Hmmmm...
Sadie, you lucky, lucky dog! I'm more jealous of anyone who doesn't use an alarm clock than I am of anyone getting a BFP! Well, almost. I got up at 4:45 this morning to go to the gym before getting to school early for detention duty. At least I feel wide awake now.
SwaneeK, maybe you won't need the BBT after all if this is your month? I'm curious to hear how the transition to charting goes for you. I've wondered myself if it would increase or decrease my stress.
lilhimley, I'm sorry you might be out for the month. :( I hope your dr's appointment goes well.
Twylla and looty, you're both too funny! Thanks for the hospitality, Looty. I hope my stay is pleasant and short too! :)
Have a great weekend, everyone! (It's never too early to start the weekend wishes, right?)

Well, I am pretty sure my cycle for this month is ending which is a great thing, a little over a week ago I had a ton on CM and since then it is gone and today I have been having bad AF like cramping, I don't actually get AF because of the IUD but hopefully thats what this is so when I get the IUD out tomorrow I will be able to start fresh with a new cycle!!!
Sunshine

Thank you for the Welcome Twylla, lilhimley and Shanna!
Twylla~LOVE the new motto! LMAO!
Sadie~I keep going back and forth on whether to temp or not. I think right now, maybe I should just see what happens, otherwise hubby might think I am going overboard too soon.(I tend to do that)
I'm also sorry about your BFN:( Hopefully you wont be seeing another one.
Let me know if you start temping, I would like to hear how it is for you!
miaclear~Hmmmmmmmm, GOOD LUCK!
Chelsea524~Good Luck!
Sadie
05-04-2006, 09:33 AM
miaclear, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that what you felt was implantation!
J*east, I know, I am so lucky. At the same time it scares me, because having a baby around is going to cause a drastic change in my sleep patterns. Seriously, I am more scared of the lack of sleep than anything else about parenthood.
Chelsea, hope that you are able to start a new cycle right when the IUD comes out! That would be great timing.
Sunshine, I'll let you know how it goes. So far, so good!

Hi All :)
SwaneeK - Good luck with the BBT!
Twylla - Sorry about your craptastic day yesterday. Here's another yes vote for our new motto (courtesy of Looty):D
Jnshanna - I'm also having a hard time keeping up with this thread. We're so lucky to have so many people to share TTC'ing with aren't we?
Sadie - Good luck with the temping! I'm also wondering how I'll handle not sleeping. I tend to get pretty crabby if I don't get enough sleep.
Miaclear - Good luck! I'm hoping this is your month :)
J*east - I'm right there with you in the waiting to O phase. CD8...Is it crazy to look forward to my first 2ww? :p
Chelsea524 - Yay for getting the IUD out! Let the baby making begin!
Sunshine - I also tend to go overboard. It's really hard to restrain myself from going into full-blown charting/OPK taking TTC'ing. We'll see how long I last before that happens. Three months tops is my guess :o
__________________________________________________ ___________
So here I am at CD8. No fertile looking CM in sight. Still...I'm thinking BD Fest #1 will start tomorrow night. We'll be out at our little cabin (the ice still hasn't gone out on the lake as far as I know but we're impatient for summer :p ) snuggled on our uncomfortable futon. Romantic, yes?

Hello ladies... Just thought I'd pop in with an update on me...
(x-posted from my Journal):
So, I just spoke with the doctor... My test came back positive, but with very low betas (7) and low progesterone level. At this point - this can go either way, that's why she wants to see me again on Monday to do another blood test and an u/s. :(
Good luck to everyone BD'ing and O'ing as well as testing soon! :)

Welcome E'sprincess! I am a Jennifer with an Erik too!
AF came today so I'm on CD1 and will hopefully O in about 3 weeks. Trying not to be too depressed and pathetic about getting AF since DH is having a lot of work stress right now and I don't want to pile it on him. He's so good to me. I want to be there for him. The good news is that my LP was 12 days this time, the longest since M/C in December. I'll see what the dr. says on Tuesday, but I'm hoping she'll put me on progesterone to lengthen my LP.

First and foremost...I am thinking of you and praying for you Zhanna. My heart dropped when I read your post. I hope everything turns out well!
Ha Ha! You ladies are too funny. I am glad that no one was offended (or at least didn't say so). I would love to use it for a motto for this thread but I think that I will pass as using it for a a siggie. It is up for grabs!:p
Welcome to E'sprincess! I hope you can learn a bit and be so ready when July comes that you get an immediate BFP!:D
Sorry to hear about AF lilhimley. I know it sucks and we are here for you to talk to since you don't want to dump on DH. I can understand that too because although he doesn't care...I don't like to do that to my DH too much because I don't want him to feel too much pressure.
The ladies that are pondering temping/charting....I know I did that too but I am too worried I will become as obsessed as Tom Cruise is about proving he is not gay (I do not know either way, of course.) ;) I have avoided it so far because I bought a fertility monitor that make me obsess only two days since it predicts a peak day. I wish you all luck either way!
I am not sure what is going on with me. I am expecting Af to show up tomorrow. I am getting some brown spotting...not spotting a lot (only when I wipe) and I don't have any cramping, but it tends to start this way for me. I was going to buy a test on my way home but refrained so if the spotting goes away and I am not cramping at all I will pick one up tomorrow after work but I am not counting on it. I am a little disappointed but I am trying not to count myself as out until AF shows up.

Sounds like great timing with taking the IUD out, Chelsea.
Sounds romantic to me, Lana. Have fun! ;)
Everything is crossed for you, Zhanna. Sticky vibes too! I hope those betas are much higher next week.
Welcome Jennifer! :)
I was going to suggest TCOYF, Sunshine but you beat me to it. :) Even if you're not planning on charting in the future, a huge part of the book doesn't have anything to do with temping. It's SO informative and valuable for any woman, IMO.
Try to stay positive, looty. I'm really pulling for you!

Thanks for hte words ladies, Im feeling much better now. Weve decided to get back into drumming so I can keep my mind off things. So i think a nice new drum kit will make me feel much better!
Nothing much happening here the BD fest is about to begin and well I just dont know anymore. I cant even get my hopes up really because it feels like if it didnt happen before now what would make it happen this time. Im still feeling much better about it all tho, Im actually glad I cant get my hopes up the it will be even more of a surprise when it happens.
Zhanna Stcik stick sticky!!!! Hopefully you get some good news on monday!

Zhanna thinking good thoughts for you, but waiting untill Monday is going to suck!
E'sprincess! Welcome
I got my first pang of PG jealousy last night. DH’s good friend and co-workers are getting married this weekend and they told us that they are going to TTC right afterwards. Well DH told me yesterday that they found out they were PG on Monday. The first thing that came out of my mouth was “I thought they weren’t TTC yet?” and then “How far along is she” But inside I was screaming “COME ON! THEY WEREN’T EVEN TRYING YET! GIVE ME A BREAK!”
I’m still a bit green about it but it might be to my advantage. Since DH works with both of them and sees them everyday he’ll get a sneak preview of what’s it like to be PG and have to deal with a hormonal wife. :p

Well, this weekend shall be nice, I'm going up to my parents cabin on a lake. Nice relaxing weekend... but it's only suppose to be in the 50's yucky but it will be nice to see my mom, I haven't seen her since my wedding in December.

I am glad that you are feeling better Squee. I am not sure if figuring it isn't going to happen since it hasn't yet is why in some ways it has gotten easier for me as time has gone on. I hope you figuring it won't happen end with the biggest, happiest shock ever!
Ahh the jealosy pangs, Sarah. I know what you mean...the first time that happened to me was with my SIL. I was happy for her but so jealous. I felt horrible that I was jealous and that was only compounded when she lost the baby. I know I never wished that would happen, but I felt horrible. But it sounds like you are turning it around. I think it is hilarious that they are obviously covering themselves for that "honeymoon baby." Haha!
Have fun at your mom's lake cabin E'sprincess! I would love a weekend relaxing at the lake!
Welcome Breanne! I hope you are aren't here too long. I hope you never have to go see you doctor!
Good luck at your doctor's appointment on Tuesday, Twylla!
The spotting hasn't stopped but it really hasn't gotten much heavier. (TMI alert) I put a tampon in this morning at about 6 thinking that I was going to need it, took it out at about 4 and there was only a small brown line on it. I didn't know that at the time I left though so I didn't get a test. I will probably be running out tomorrow so if AF isn't here or spotting isn't worse I'll get a test. I trying to hold on to the little tiny spec of hope but I'm not too positive about this.

Sadie~DH and I have never been to Vegas either, heck we have never been anywhere. Mexico (our honeymoon) was our first real trip anywhere! And that was just last September! SO we are REALLY looking forward to it!
....I want to see Barry Manilow TOO:D
Welcome Browneyedgirl!
Twylla~GOOD LUCK at your dr appoint Tuesday:D
looty~I am REALLY hoping for you that this is it!!!!!
Well, tomorrow is my LAST bcp, FINALLY! I cant wait to be officially TTC:)

05-05-2006, 04:55 PM
I got my IUD out!!!!!
Dr said he would like us to tta for the next two months to build up AF, I nodded my head and said sure we will ust break out the condoms; the heck with that, everything I have read anywhere says you can start ttc right away and many women have stated they got pregnant on their first cycle so if we do get a bfp before two months(which I really hope we do) I will just tell him the condom broke:p
Sorry no SOs, I need to get dinner going, good luck to all the testers and happy BDing
looty
05-05-2006, 05:16 PM
Yeah to Sunshine and Chelsea! Welcome to the world of officially TTC. :p
On a more serious note...I was lurking in the December thread and tinkerbelljenny's DH had a heart attack and is in the ICU. If you believe in praying please say a prayer for her. She graduated from this thread last month. :(

Oh no! I hope tink's hubby will be ok! I will pray for them!
Good luck, Looty! I hope this is it for you!
Can't wait to hear about your appt. Twylla! I hope all goes well!
Welcome new girls! This is a great place!
I had a VERY interresting day. DH and I made the 30 minute trip to the little town where the herbalist is. He has a great reputation around here, and I was frustrated, so we went to see him about fertility. We walk in and tell him what we want. He sits up down and gets a note pad and starts writing. He doesn't say a word. Thinks, writes, looks at us, and writes some more. It was strange. Then after he had written everything he starts telling us what's wrong with us. I am too cold- he said I had a thyroid problem and that I was probably having fertilized eggs that werent making it because my core temp was too cold. He said it should be above 97.6 when taken under my right arm (mouth temp today and yesterday am was 97.2. but I didn't tell him that) He gave me a website to look at for Wilson's Syndrome and see if that matched with me. It does. He gave me "raw thyroid" . He told me to take one pill a day, even after pg.
He then moved to DH and told him that he had a left testicle problem (the "main" problem). He said fertility comes from the left side and his was messed up. He asked if his testicles ever ached and pulled and DH's eyes lit up. He has complained about that since he was a teenager. Said it was varicocele. We looked it up and it definitely fits Dh's symptoms. So weird. Also asked about him being tired and getting dizzy, especially when he stands up too fast. He gave him "damiona". Turns out it is also an aphrodisiac....oh great! We've been making jokes about DH's left nut all day!
He told me I would be pg in 60 days. It all sounds weird, but I have renewed hope. I would rather have what he gave me than some chemical concoction that a traditional Dr. would give me. Anyway, good day girls! I will keep you updayed on how things go!

Wow, I will definitely think good thoughts for tinkerbelljenny.
Jess71903 - That is interesting! My DH thinks all that stuff is a bunch of baloney, but I'm open to it. Good luck to you! I hope the herbalist was right.
Looty, good luck testing tomorrow. Go away AF! Get outta here!
Welcome browneyedgirl!
Twylla, I see the Dr. on Tuesday too. Hopefully we'll have good news and we'll both feel better after our appts.

Thanks for the luck wishes for next week, looty, tamara (and good luck with your last pill!), Jess, and lilhimley (and we'll both be using this luck!!!). I'm sure it'll help plenty!
Chelsea congrats on the IUD being out. I probably wouldn't wait either. AF doesn't "build up" but often she doesn't return with perfect cycles, so doctors will often ask women to wait for the sake of dating the pregnancy. That's what I've read/heard anyway... so go crazy!
Jess I'm laughing so hard about the left nut!!! lol. That'll be a fun one for the next few weeks. When the baby coems along, you can give all the credit to DH's left nut! lmao! Seriously though, I'm glad to hear you're feeling good about things... just two cycles left until you get that BFP, hunh? Good luck!!!!
Jess71903
05-06-2006, 07:26 AM
lilhimley- my DH thought it was a bunch of baloney too until the guy asked him about his nuts hurting! I guess we kinda expected a questionaire or medical history or something, but the guy just started writing. I would have thought that he told everybody the same thing except the girl I know that went to him for the same thing was told that she didn't have a problem at all and that her DH needed zinc- he didn't tell us that at all! I know it all sounds crazy, but when do you stop saying "this can't be so" because it's outside of mainstream knowledge and just go with it because it seems to work for lots of people?
Uh, well, I have to get off my butt on a Sat. and go to a baby shower, of all things. I will keep you girls updated on hubby's left nut (hahhaha!)!

Jess....Wow...I hope it works! I believe that different things will work for different people and I hope this is it for you guys :D
CD26 for myself, 8DPO. We went out last night with friends and I probably had too much to drink. I try not to worry about it but I do. And I try to keep it to a minimum but then I remember once I get that BFP any sort of heavy night of drinking is far far far off in the future. It was funny though listening to DH talk to our one friend who is a mom about babies and potty training and when the right time is.
Chelsea524
05-06-2006, 09:40 AM
miaclear Don't worry about the drinking for now, people that get pregnant without knowing for weeks or months still have very healthy babies, get it out of your system while you can
JessPlease keep us posted on DHs left nut!!
Twylla good luck on your dr appt
Sunshinelast day of bcp yippy!!
lootyWell, did you test???
Copied from my journal
So I was really excited about getting the IUD out yesterday and just for the hell of it I took an OPK and it showed positive I think, both lines were almost the same in color if not the exact same. So I try to get dh to bd last night and he says he is to nervous to do that the very first day, he needs a couple days to get over it and be excited, I don't have a couple days, I was Oing right then, though I didn't tell him that, if he new I bought OPKs he would get irritated, he doesn't want there to be any science involved, he just wants to do want we normally do just without the IUD. So I think this month I am probably already out, they say you can get pregnant from bding before the IUD is out if its a day or two before so who knows, we may still be ok for the month but I'm not counting on it.
Oh well, I really am not sure getting pregnant right away would be good anyways since I have not had AF I'm not even sure I have any lining in there right now for it to implant in.

Sorry, I haven't woken up yet so mostly just general SO's for now....
Welcome newbies, Have Fun bd/ers, & Baby Dust and Lots of Luck to testers and/or 2ww'ers.
Zhanna & Tinkerbelljenny, you are both in my thoughts and prayers!
Jess, I've never seen anyone but a traditional dr, but I am a FIRM believer in herbalist and/or chinese dr's!!! I can't wait to hear what the next 60 days brings for you (and dh's left nut :D )!!

Now at CD 24. I think that I may test tomorrow, since my last cycle was only 26 days long but they usually are 30. We'll see. I think I'm getting a bigger appetite. My stomach usually never ever growls, but this morning before I ate breakfast I was starving. And I usually wait untill lunch time to eat. (Bad I know).
Chealsea, that is so frustrating!! I know that DH and I got in a couple of small fights this month and it's hard because you know you should BD but sometime you are too mad!
Jess71903, that is very interesting about the herbalist. I think I believe in that stuff somewhat.
I am still waiting for my BBT to come in the mail. Hopefully we won't have to use it! I went garage saleing yesterday and bought a couple of very interesting pregnancy books. We already have what to expect when you're expecting. Is there any good book out there for people who are TTC?

That sounds like fun, buying a new drum kit, Squee. We need all the distractions we can get, huh?
Aw, it's so difficult to hear about couples that aren't even trying getting pregnant, Sarah! It's so frustrating! But it will pass and our time will come. :)
Have fun in Vegas, Sunshine! I LOVE it there! Where are you going to be staying? I hope you have an awesome time.
Have fun this weekend, Jen. That sounds very nice. I think relaxation is an important part of TTC.
Welceom Breanne! :)
How funny, I made my RE appointment for Tuesday morning. That must be good luck for the three of us, right, Twylla and lilhimley? ;)
Oh looty, I really hope this is it for you.
He, He, I like your plan about the condom breaking, Chelsea.
I'm so sorry to hear about tinkerbell's DH. :(
Very interesting about your herbalist vist, Jess. LOL about making jokes about the left nut.
I'm sooo nervous about my RE appointment next week. I was told that it will be a full hour of talking. I asked DH to come with me because they said that is a good idea. I printed all of my charts and summary info on my cycles last night so I'm all prepared with my STACK of papers. LOL I wonder if they'll think I'm nuts for bringing so much stuff. I don't think so because when I told them I was charting they were very happy with that and wanted me to bring them all. Anyway.... I hope all our appointments go well! :)

Welcome, BrownEyedGirl! And I have thyroid issues which I've heard can cause fertility problems.
They can also make you MORE fertile...my mom has Grave's disease (a thyroid condition) and had periods of extreme fertility and infertility. Nothing for 3 years, 1 kid, nothing for 4 years, 5 kids in 7 years, m/c, another kid...7 in all. So a thyroid condition is not necessarily bad news. Depends if it's hypoactive or hyperactive. Anyway...you probably don't want 7 kids. :) But welcome! I have endo too, so I'm hoping to conceive fast.
looty, I am crossing my fingers that this is it for you! Good luck!! And thanks for letting us know about tinkerbelljenny. I'll keep her and her family in my thoughts.
Zhanna, your weekend wait is almost over. I hope you have good news tomorrow.
Chelsea, congrats on the IUD removal...I wouldn't wait to BD either. Too bad your DH could wait, though!
Jess, what an interesting experience you had! I think there's a lot more to medicine/the human body than we know. It'll be so interesting to see where you are in 60 days! My BIL has only one testicle so there are plenty of jokes in his family about it. :)
jnshanna, I hope your appointment goes well. I'm sure they'll be glad to have all of your info. Good luck!
Sunshine, congrats on last BCP, and welcome to the roller coaster of TTC!
I'm sure I missed some people, so a general GOOD LUCK to all!
Me...CD6. AF is finally over--5 days this month, which I guess is better than the 2 1/2 I had my first month off BCP. I told DH to get ready to BD in about a week, and I got my first bikini wax of the summer, so he's psyched. :) This is our first month of actually trying (last month I didn't want to conceive, but I had to stop BCP, so we didn't DTD for two weeks mid-cycle, bleah). I hope this is our lucky month! :)

SwaneeKDid you test??
jnshannaGood luck with your appt, I'm sure they will be glad to have all your charts and info
For me, I woke up with heavy spotting, so I am sure AF will be here later today or by tomorrow. I'm actually glad she is here, it made me a little nervous the thought of getting pregnant without having AF for so long, so after she leaves we will be all set to go!

Chelsea, I did...BFN...but I knew it. I think my body is gearing up for AF.....:( I am not going to buy to buy another test until I'm late. I just hope my BBT arrives before AF!! I think I might try OPK test, too!
Although, it still is CD26. Last month AF was on CD26. (Crossing fingers that she doesn't arrive).

Jess - I hope the herbalist works for you! I strongly believe in giving everything a try...
miacliear - When are you testing?!
SwaneeK - I'm sorry about the BFN :( I am crossing my fingers for you, hoping that it was just too early...
Shanna - Good Luck at your appointment! I think it's great that you have so much stuff to show them - I am sure that it will make their job much easier.
j*east - I hope this is your lucky month too! Have fun BD'ing! :p
Chelsea524 - I think that AF showing up is a good thing for you - at least you know that your body is doing what it's supposed to do. ;)
An update on my doc's appointment today: I love this office - it's the women's health group and there are 6 doc's, who take turns seeing each patient. They each specialize in a particular thing, which makes it so wonderful - they are EXTREMELY knowledgeable over there! The Dr. I saw today was very sweet - he talked a little to DH and I in his office, got some of our history, etc. Then, drew blood, prescribed progesterone supplements (prometrium) and pre-natal vitamins. They will call me with blood test results tomorrow and he wants me to come in for an ultrasound next week. He said that last Tuesday may have been too early for the numbers to be higher than they were and that he hopes that everything will be fine with my pregnancy. He didn't seem concerned and spoke with so much confidence. I am so much more at peace now! :D
ETA - I hope you girls don't mind me hanging out here still... I love this little group! :)

Zhanna, that is great that your doc was so positive. Hopefully you'll get some good strong test results that will set your mind at ease!
J*east, I am one of 7 kids also! Makes holidays lots of fun, huh? :D
Swanee, sorry about the BFN.
Shanna, good luck at the RE! I'm sure that he/she will be quite pleased that you have collected so much information on what's going on with your body.
As for me, I'm on CD36. I thought I was having AF-like cramps yesterday, but nada. I know I'm not PG, so I'm just waiting....hopefully not for too much longer.

Whoa. I'll try to keep up with this racing thread!
Chelsea, I felt the same way when I got my first period after being on the pill semi-continuously for 3 years and only getting AF a few times a year. Whew! It's nice to know that everything is working, and next cycle you can start in earnest.
Tinkerbelljenny, I'm so glad your DH is out of the hospital. I hope he has a fast and complete recovery.
Sadie, I know what you mean! I don't think DH and I will have that many kids, but I console myself that our kids will have lots of cousins...4 already and one on the way (my SIL is PG).
Zhanna, I'm so glad you found a good practice. It makes a huge difference in healthcare to feel that you are heard and acknowledged. Keep us posted!
Thanks everyone for the BD wishes. I never had someone wish for me to BD before, so that's pretty funny. :) I told DH that Thursday night begins the BD fest. We're pretty psyched now, but we'll see how it goes. I'm trying to avoid putting too much pressure on us. DH has been very supportive and into TTC lately, which is great. He randomly said the other day, "We should buy some PG tests." I told him that we definitely will when I miss a period, but I don't want to make myself too crazy by testing too early. (I'm sure I will anyway.) :o

Tinkerbell...what a scare! I'm so glad everything is ok.
Zhanna... I am CD29, 10DPO. I really wanted to wait till Mothers Day since that would be (if it was) my first day late. But I'll likely test this Wed. DH has guys night on Wed so I don't have to worry about him being around the house (I would like to surprise him somehow).
I kinda felt a little crampy last night, not really bad but similar to AF. Not reading much into it.

Tinkerbelljenny, I am so happy to hear your DH is home!!!
Zhanna, It sounds like you have a great DR. I am confident that you will get good news tomorrow!!
I think we have 2 more important Dr's apt's tomorrow two?? Good luck to you guys too!!!
Miaclear, I really wanted to wait until Sunday too, but I don't know if I can. I've had things that "could" be symptoms, but then again might not be, but for some reason I have a good feeling this month....then again, I've been really hopeful the last few months so it might just be that. Wow, is this getting harder or what??

05-08-2006, 01:16 PM
Wow, this thread really moves on the weekend! There's no way I'll be able to shoutout to everyone!
Tinkerbelljenny - So glad to hear that your DH is doing better!
MrsKinnison - Good luck with waiting to test, I'm sure it must be really hard to do :)
miaclear - good luck with testing on Wed. Hope you get your BFP!
j*east - So cute that your DH is excited about TTC. Mine is too but he doesn't want to know too much about what he calls 'The Cave of Mysteries'. So after BD he'll tell his sperm "Go wigglies go!" but he doesn't want to know about how I'm able to tell if I'm fertile or not. So no CM talk :D
Sadie - Hope AF comes soon for you so you can get this cycle over with.
zhannushka - Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
As for me, it's CD11 here and CM is starting to look more promising. DH is handling being my boy toy well and is A-OK with BDing every other day this week ;)

can i ask you girls a ?
i posted in the FP thread but its not getting alot of traffic.
its a CM question -
i dont have that much adn its hard to record it. its practically nonexistant. but i am trying to drink more water and green tea.
today its sort of watery but like thin lotiony too - if that makes sense. it doesnt stretch though. is this fertile cm?
so sorry for the TMI - gosh, some of the stuff we talk about i wouldnt dare say out loud!!! :o
THANKS!
lilhimley

Man, this does have a lot of activity and I love it! Thanks everyone for being here for me. It means a lot.
SwaneeK, sorry about BFN.
Zhanna-glad you love the Dr's office - so important!
Sadie, sorry about the long cycle. I feel your pain. The waiting stinks.
Tinkerbelljenny, so glad to hear that DH is on the mend. Best wishes for a full recovery.
Lanapoo, "The Cave of Mysteries" - too funny! Enjoy and good luck BDing!
Kiki, the CM should really be like eggwhite, slippery and stretchy. Watery lotion doesn't sound like it's fertile to me. The best info I've gotten is from the TCOYF book. It really explains a lot! I thought I knew a lot already, and now I really do. One part of the book says that the pattern you should see in your underwear for fertile CM is a round pattern. If it's not fertile, you will see like a long striped pattern, front to back. So, definitely look for a circular wet spot, not long and thin.
Mrskinnison, thanks for the good luck wishes. Good luck to Twylla and Jnshanna tomorrow. My appt is late afternoon, so I'll fill you in late tomorrow or Wednesday.
Last but nut least, "Go left nut...Go left nut!"
miaclear
05-08-2006, 04:14 PM
Mrskinnison, There's a chance I'll be able to wait it out till Sunday but I kinda think I'd like to test on my own and know that DH isn't around. So that I can let it sink in and have some time to myself to think about it. So I'll likely do it Wed during his boys night.
Kiki, I've never gotten the stretchy CM and know a lot of girls who don't. I'll get what I guess we're calling CM boogers where it's like glob...more like dried rubber cement. Other than that I get the wet and lotiony types. My understanding is it may not be the most fertile but it doesn't mean it won't work. Good luck.
zhannushka
05-08-2006, 04:18 PM
Kiki - I barely ever get any CM at all, definitely not the EWCM. We were TTC for 6 months until we got our BFP, which was the first month that we used Pre-seed. Well - looks like it worked! ;) I highly recommend it.

Last but nut least, "Go left nut...Go left nut!"
I LOVE that we're cheering on left nuts!!! My DH would be mortified. I am dying because he won't let me tell anyone IRL that we went to the herbalist, but we are blaming everything on his left nut and my thyroid (or he calls me cold hearted because of my low temps.) At very least, it let me relax for a while, since I am looking forward to the 60 days thing. Maybe we can get pg. in St. Croix! That would be cool! CD 16 or so today. Been BDing every other day, so we'll see!
I am so glad your DH is on the mend tinkerbelljenny! I hope he continues to get better.
Kiki- I didn't have much CM until I started drinking green tea. I also had the boogers that Miaclear talked about. I haven't been drinking much tea this week so I am back to zilch and using Pre-seed. I wouldn't think anything lotion-ish is considered fertile.
Yay on the Dr. appt. zhanna- I love that you are sticking around and giving us updates! Be sure to let us know how the results turn out!
Can't wait to hear from Twylla and Looty on yall's appointments! I hope all is good news, or at least something you can work with!

I have been away all weekend because DH has been sick all weekend and I ahve had horrible cramps. :( Of course that means that AF showed up at about 2:30 Saturday morning. I had the most horrible cramps I have had in a really, really long time. It was really heavy too (TMI---with some bit of tissue) so I am not sure if that means anything. I just hope that those cramps are not something that is going to be the norm now. I had to just lay there with a heating pad curled up in a ball after taking meds. Not fun!
I can't do SO to everyone but I just want to say that I am so happy to hear that tinkerbelljenny's DH is on the mend and that I can't wait to hear about the Dr. appointment tomorrow.
P.S. Lana...do you mind if I ask what you DH's middle name is. I love the name Dean (after my grandpa) but have had a hard time coming up with a middle name. TIA!

Looty - Sorry about AF showing up and the crappy cramps :( To answer your question about Dean's name, Dean IS his middle name. He is William Dean to be exact but there were so many Williams in his family that he was called Dean from day 1. He actually told me once that we will never call our children by their middle names because it is such a pain for him. He never knows if he is William or Dean with the electric company, cable company, etc  I always thought that would be pretty easy to figure out. Use your real first name for anything formal and Dean for everything else. Hope this helps :)

Looty, sorry about the terrible AF cramps.
zhannushka, what's pre-seed??
LOL about "go, left nut, go!" Haha!!
Chelsea, I know how relieved I was about my first cycle off birth control. It's nice to know that everything is working ok! My cycles have been normal except for last month when AF came almost 5 days early!
I'm so excited! My thermometer came in the mail. So if AF does arrive I can temp for the next full cycle. I just wish that you could take tests that for sure you knew where negative or positve-none of this "well I still could be but it's negative for now". Then when AF does come, you'd already know and wouldn't be so disappointed. Can you tell I'm crabby???
Good luck with those going to the doctor tomorrow! Zhannushka, I'm even keeping everything crossed for you, even my eyes!! Just kidding!
Good night!

I'm so so sorry about AF looty... :( I hope your cramps go away soon and it's not going to be a norm for you now! I normally don't get AF cramps, but I have had a few really horrible cycles, when cramps were just unbearable...
SwaneeK - Pre-seed is a sperm-friendly intimate moisturizer, which acts kinda like EWCM. Check it out here (http://www.preseed.com).
Good Luck to everyone with Dr's appointments tomorrow! I hope we all get some good news!

Lana~Thanks for the information. I have a couple names in the running and Dh had agreed to Dean a while ago but lately he acts like he isn't sure. I am not going to worry about it until I get a +. My Dh goes by his middle name with his family and anyone who has known him since childhood because that is what his parents decided but he decided to go by his first name starting in college so it is really confusing when people that call him different things mix. I am the only one at family gatherings that calls him John, everyone else calls him Scott. I tol dhim if we ever have kids they are going to be so confused since on one side he is Uncle Scott and on the other he will be Uncle John.:p Good luck bd'ing. I hope you caught that egg!
SwaneeK~Good luck with your thermometer. Although I hope you don't need it. :D
Zhanna~Thanks! I hope the cramps aren't the norm either. Actually... honestly, I hope I don't have to find out for a while.
Squee~Have you been stressed at all lately? Sometimes stress can throw off your O time. How long have you been TTC again? I know I could go look but I have very limited time since I am at work.
Kiki~Pre-seed is just a sperm friendly lube. We only used it around O time because it isn't really expensive but more so than regular lubes so we want to reserve it for the necessary times.

Looty: I noticed on the other page you were asking about middle names to go with Dean... my younger brother's name is Dean Alexander so I thought I'd toss that one out to ya! ;)
Well, it's only CD2 for me so I'm sort of in a holding pattern for a while. Blah. I can't believe how quickly this thread moved over the weekend so I'm not even going to attempt any personals (other than the one to Looty that is). Have a great Tuesday all and good luck with the BDing and here's hopes for BFP's for all you ladies that are past "O!" :D

Today is CD30, what I believe is 10DPO. AF isn't due for another 4 days but just noticed the most ittist bit of spotting. Aren't I too late for implantation spotting? So confusing.
Since this is only my 2nd complete cycle off the pill I guess AF could just be showing earlier, but I haven't really had the signs yet.
Errr. What's really irritating is if this IS implantation spotting then won't I have to wait another 10 or so days to get a BFP?
ack.

Miaclear, from what I've read, implantation bleeding can occur anywhere in
5-12 days past O. The most sensitive EPTs might give you a BFP as early as 10 DPO so you could test now, but I've wasted a lot of $$ testing that early. I try really hard to wait until 12 DPO or until I'm late. That said, I just ordered 25 tests from ebay for future testing. I wish I had done that before - 25 tests for $8.50 including shipping. I ordered OPKs too. I hope they work!

i had implatation spotting. at the time i thought it was AF. i spotted for about a day and half then it stopped. right before the spot i got a BFN. then after the spot stopped i wondered what was that so i re-tested to get a BFP with DD. so i dont think you have to wait. go for it

Miaclear ~ I think that you can have spotting after implantation too as things are getting adjusted in there, so it might be just that. From what I have read, the majority do not experience implantation spotting, but lots of pg women have spotting due to other stuff (if that makes sense). Good Luck!!
As for me, I picked up 2 Dollar Store test today. I know I should wait, but for only $1 each I figured why not....I am 11dpo today (possibly 12, but atleast 11). Wish me baby dust!!!

I am going to go buy some Pre-Seed tomorrow, we are in need of some new lube, for some reason last week when we used our other that we had we each got really irritated from itfor a few days, I think its getting a little old and needs replaced.
I just ordered 25 tests from ebay for future testing. I wish I had done that before - 25 tests for $8.50 including shipping. I ordered OPKs too.
That is a great price on those, I might have to go look now. I can't buy them from my normal store because DH is the store manager and everyone would flip if they saw me buying opks or tests, I almost bought some prenatals the other day but decided I didn't want people wondering what was going on and so I bought One A Day Womans instead.

Guess I'll just wait and see. I think I'll skip on testing tomorrow unless something changes my mind. If AF hasn't shown by Sat I'll test Sunday....like I had planned all along.
Good luck MrsK!!!!

Thanks Jessica. We thought about Alexander for a middle name too but that is a nephew's middle name. What do the majority of you think about having the same middle name...would you care? I don't think I would care but I don't think that I would do that either.
miaclear~I am hoping that you are wrong about your symptoms and you get a BFP on Sunday!
That is one good deal lilhimley! I may have to check that out too.
Kiki~I already feel like everyone is pregnant except me. I don't think I could handle a job where people were coming to me pretty often telling me they are pg. I feel for ya!
Babydust for MrsK! I hope you get a BFP in the next day or two! So exciting!
Yay Zhanna! I am so so excited that you are getting good news and I am sure that tomorrow will be even more good news.
Seems like a lot of us are right at the beginning of our cycles. I am a few days ahead of the CD 2 girls but my cycle also tends to run a little longer too. Hopefully we can all be a part of a successful bd fest and then a very exciting and fruitful testfest. :D

Zhanna, thanks for the info on the pre-seed. We just may need it!
It's CD 27 (I think-I'm losing count not charting!!) And another BFN this morning. My temp was 98.6 this morning, but without any prior temps of course it's impossible to tell! I did a search on fertitly friend for those who got late BFP after earlier BFN and it did get my hopes up a little. I'm kinda bummed because if this month doesn't work, we have to skip TTC next month, unless I O at a weird time. We're going on a memorial day vacation with DH family.
Kiki-, I don't know if I could do you're job! It'd definitely be hard to handle.

Thanks for checking in with us, tinkerbelljenny. I'm so glad your DH is out of the hospital.
I hope you get good news this week, miaclear. I've read that you can get a BFP about 3 days after implantation. So if today really was implantation spotting, you could possibly get a BFP in just a few days. At least from what I've read. :) Hang in there.
LOL about the "cave of mysteries", Lanapoo! That is too funny. Congrats on the + OPK. They can be rare sometimes so that's great!

So an update on me.... sorry it's a little long.
My dr appointment was very overwhelming to be honest. She wants me to start Clomid this cycle. She also wanted me to start Provera to make AF start since I'm on CD47 but I told her I'd rather wait a little bit to see if I just start on my own. Then she's getting bloodwork done and wants me to schedule an HSG (Scary!). And DH is going in for an SA. She was very thorough and wanted to get started right away. After all of the tests we'll meet at the end of my next cycle. She wants me to continue to chart to see how the Clomid works this next cycle. I talked to DH about the HSG though and I'm going to talk to her about having it postponed until next month instead. That just seems a little too much to me too soon. So we'll try Clomid and see how that goes. :)
It was interesting explaining what BD meant to the dr. She said she had never heard of that. I was a little embarassed. :o LOL
So we're watching House now and the beginning is about a mom having a seisure and the baby almost drowning and my DH freaked out! We really shouldn't watch those kind of shows while TTC. Like men aren't freaked out enough without seeing things like that. But he loves this show so...
Anyway, I hope everyone has a good rest of the week. I hope I see some BFP's when I get back. :D

hopefully the clomid will get things going.
DH and I had a fight last nite and didnt BD. we cant today either because he has to work all day and then goes straight to job #2 and wont get home until midnite. eeeerrrrrrrrrrrr.
i hate it when we argue - which isnt that often so when it does happen i get really upset. i got angry because he told me that in 2 weeks his work schedule will change to 3-11pm and it iwll stay that way for about 2 months.
of course i get upset since we are TTC-ing and this sort of messes things up. then he says i'm turning into a control freak with this ttc and charting (which he is sort of right).
so now i'm work upset and i have a headache. :(
sorry for the vent....

Sorry about the - MrsK, but like others said it may just be too early, especially if you tested at night. I hope you get a different result in a day or two.
Shanna~You are so good about shout outs. I give you props! I hope you have fun in Disney. I am sure it will be a good time. Sorry to hear that your doctor's appointment was overwhelming. I am afraid of the same thing happening (as you know) but at least you have some options and hopefully those will work for you soon. I say that if you want to hold off on the HSG (I have no idea what that is), then I say hold off. You don't want to feel any more pressure during this than you have to. I'm thinking of you!
Kiki~Sorry to hear about the arguement. I am sure since you dont' argue mouch it may be harder, especially if things weren't exactly resolved. When TTC it is really hard not to get too wrapped up in everything. I am consumed enough which is why I know I couldnt' temp/chart because I would be even worse and I knwo my DH wouldn't be too pleased about a TTC-zilla. I hope everything works out for you and that the schedule change won't matter because you are already pg.
Sadie

looty, I don't think cousins having the same middle name is a bad thing. One of my cousins has the same middle name as me, and it never bothered me. But she is also about 15 years younger and lives 6 states away, so I'm not sure that helps. If it were me, I don't think I would use the name...I'm not really sure why. I was just telling DH last night that we are going to have a hard time finding a name for any eventual baby that isn't already being used by someone in either of our gigantic families. I feel like unless we are going to name the kid after someone (in which case it would be our parents or grandparents) then I don't want him/her to have the same name as a random cousin or great-uncle or someone we're not really close to.
kiki, I would be upset about the work schedule too! I hate feeling like I missed an opportunity to "hit the target," as my DH calls it.
shanna, it sounds like you are in good hands with your doctor! Keeping my fingers crossed that Clomid does the trick for you.
MrsK, sorry about the BFN. :( BUT, 11 DDPO is still pretty early....
Swanee, we are going to be with family over Memorial Day weekend too, and I'm afraid that will be prime BDing time for us. I may just have to lure DH into going on a short field trip with me and get in some "backseat of the car" action, lol. I am really determined this cycle!
miaclear, still holding out hope for you!
CD1 for me, finally! I can't believe how excited I am, lol. But I'm charting now, so I feel good about that, and I also bought a bunch of OPKs yesterday. Last cycle was 37 days, so I'll be really glad to figure out when I ovulate. DH is really into the whole temping thing, much to my surprise. He asks me every day what my temp was, which I think is hilarious, b/c it's not like it will mean anything to him....it doesn't mean anything to me most of the tme! But I am enjoying the fact that he's interested. :)

MrsJackson and looty glad to have some more cycle buddies! We can have a big test fest together!!
kiki Sorry about the argument, I know how you feel, DH thinks that anytime I try to get things started its because I want to get pregnant and so he doesn't want to. He wants to have 6+ months of ttc for the fun activity:rolleyes: but those 6+ months are going to be pretty boring if he wont touch me because he's afraid I will get pregnant the first time we do anything. This is the man that said its the right time to ttc now and lets go for it.
Nothing really new to add from me, CD3, boring. I thought AF was leaving early yesterday but she showed back up this morning. I went downtown to buy some Pre-Seed, only one store in my city carries it and its about 40 mins away, but it was faster than having it shipped and it was about a $1 less than on line. We will give it a shot.
jnshanna
05-10-2006, 11:07 AM
We're trying preseed for the first time this month too, Chelsea. So with that and Clomid hopefully it will do the trick! I've seen quite a few graduates that tried preseed and got pg that month. Could be coincidence but it's worth a shot!
Thanks for the props for SO's, looty. That was a lot to catch up on! We've been busy lately. It's great! BTW, an HSG is when you get dye inserted into your fallopian tubes to make sure they aren't blocked. I've heard that for some ladies it's very painful and I'm pretty scared about doing it so I want to delay it a month. I've also heard that it can sometimes make you more fertile the cycle after but who knows. Plus it's expensive and it may not be necessary if the Clomid regulates my cycle. Fingers crossed for that! :)
Sorry about the fight kiki. It's bound to happen when TTC. It's a very stressful process whether you're being a TTC-zilla (maybe that's me? LOL) or just seeing what happens. It really doesn't matter because you want it so much that it's natural to think about it a lot and be concerned about it. Unfortunately a lot of men don't understand that at first and need a little more time to get used to it than we do. He'll come around. :)
Yay for CD1, Sadie! I can't wait until mine starts either so that I can get going on Clomid. :D It's so funny to be excited about getting AF.
ETA: I think I've decided to join the Still At It thread since I'm taking meds now. I'll still be here of course (love you girls!) but I'll be over there too. I just figured they would have some good info since they're all going through the same kind of testing.
Oh, and I just saw this on the Britney Spears thread. It's interesting. I don't know if it's accurate or not...
This chart is believed to have been buried in a tomb near Beijing for almost 700 years and the original is now in the Beijing Institute of Science. By cross-referencing the month a child was conceived with the age of the mother at conception, the sex of the child may be determined. This chart has been proven to be 93% accurate.
According to this ancient data, your best chances for a boy occur when the mother conceives in July when she is 18, 20, 30, and 42. The best chances for a girl occur when the mother conceives in April when she is 21, 22, and 29. Also according to the study a boy is 54% more likely to be born. Have Fun!
Here is a chinese birth chart.

You know, I was thinking about that chart above yesterday (although the one I saw was much different...I'm suppose to have a girl from now to Dec and I'm 30) Anyways...if its the GUY who determines the sex...how can it matter what age the woman is? Shouldn't it be the guy?
Just a thought. And besides, that chart has only a 50% accuracy rate, right? It could go either way.

CD3 for me and usually AF is really heavy and around 5 days but for some reason she seems to be disappearing today. Oh well, I'll take it! :p
On a side note, I've started walking every day and am trying to eat a bit healthier starting this week too. I always seem to operate like a bear going into hibernation during the winter months... I eat and eat and eat. Blah. Thinking about summer clothing makes me want to faint.

I don't have much time for replies but thanks for all the wishes ladies! And good luck to those starting a new cycle!
Update on me. I am very much spotting today and I really think this is just preAF. The only thing that's odd is that I am feeling very lightheaded and out of it today....and exhausted. This could be anything though....am about 95% certain this is just AF coming a few days early. So much certain that tonight I'm going to go buy my BBT....I wanted to start charting on my third cycle. Although I will not open it in case that that 5% chance happens and I need to return it :) I think I will also buy some FemGlide (cheaper version of Pre-Seed)...but I'll probably wait till tomorrow to make that decision.
Looking up here are my good things about not getting my BFP this cycle:
* I get to party hard when my best friend comes down Memorial weekend to celebrate DHs birthday
* I will be in the running for my MUCH wanted February baby.
* I will not have to prevent myself from telling my mom over the phone and will hopefully get to tell her good news in person from the next cycle
* I have one more cycle to get on a healthy kick
MRSK....still early, I'm holding out some hope for you ;)

Hey everyone, hope you are all having a great day :)
Zhannashka - Congratulations on the great Beta results! I'm so excited for you.
LadyD088 - You're funny about getting "back to the grind" isn't it funny how quickly TTC gets to that point? Last night we were both pretty tired but wanted to cover all the bases so we did our duty. And this is our first TTC cycle!
Chelsea524 - I bought some PreSeed too and really like it. It's not (TMI) sticky like some out there.
MiaClear - I'm sorry about the spotting, hopefully that's all it is and doesn't turn into AF :( But I love your reasons to be happy you're not pg this cycle!
Looty - I don't think there's anything wrong with using the same middle name. You could always change up the spelling a bit or do something like Dean Xander or Zander(cut off the Alex part...).
SwaneeK - CD27 is still early, I'm still hoping you get your BFP.
MrsKinnison - I agree with the others, 11DPO is still early to get a BFP, I'd test again in a few days if AF hasn't shown.
JnShanna - Too funny about having to explain BD to the dr. Good luck with the Clomid and good for you for wanting to go at your own pace with this stuff!
Kiki61872 - Sorry about the fight. It totally sucks that his schedule is going to be so inconvenient for TTC :(
Sadie - I love the fact that your DH is so into the temping thing!
So update on me...I'm pretty sure that today is 1DPO. I think that OPK was right on the money. I had the LH surge on Monday, and ovulated yesterday (whole uterine area was achy and sore for about 6 hours yesterday). We made sure to cover our bases so we'll see if we get lucky this month.

Sorry I don't have time for a bunch of shout outs, but...
Shanna I'm glad to hear your doc isn't waiting any longer. It's so frustrating to wait,t hat's why we go to the doc in the first place, right? Good idea to wait a cycle on the HSG. I'm just ahead of you on starting Provera to bring on AF, but no clomid for me. Is she running an ultrasound on you? I only ask since my doc was very concerned about giving me clomid before a vaginal ultrasound. The u/s showed that I already DO have some eggs growing, and on the surface it looks normal. Anyway, I'm sure she's doing everything properly and you'll be PG very soon. Have you been on provera before? It's not scary, I can answer questions if you have any, okay?
ME: Today is CD35. The visit to the doc yesterday went exactly as expected, except we had to do another pap smear since the lab bROKE my last one. Just what I was hoping for, everyone's favorite girly activity, having your yearly pap done twice! ugh. Anyway, I was sent for a pg test, and of course it was a BFN as expected. So tonight I start the provera, I'm on 5mgs for 5 days, then a couple of days later, AF should be here. finally. this cycle hasn't been as long as the others though, if AF is here a week from today, it'll be CD42 or so. Works for me, better than 100 plus days!

Zhanna, congrats on the good news. I wish you continued good results.
Sorry about BFM, MrsK.
Kiki, I hope you resolve things with DH soon. In the long run, this argument won't seem like such a big deal. Feel free to vent anytime.
Shanna, hopefully the clomid will be a success for you. I will think good thoughts. Try to enjoy yourself at the Magic Kingdom. It's the happiest place on earth right?
Twylla, thnx for the update. I hope the meds work and AF comes soon.
As for me, I went to the Dr.(Nurse Practitioner that specializes in infertility) yesterday and she said that she really didn't think I had a luteal phase problem, especially since I don't have any spotting before AF shows up. However, she did say she'll have me go to the lab a week after I ovulate to check my progesterone level just to make me feel better since she's pretty confident that there's nothing wrong with me. She said we are doing all the right things and she wants us to try two more cyles (total of 5 since the miscarriage) before she runs any more tests. Oh, and she wants to check my thyroid just in case. So, basically no news is good news I guess and of couse she said to just relax while we're trying to get PG. Ha, that's so funny - relax.
I'm on CD7, but my cycles are around 35 days, so I expect to O in about two weeks, say the 24th, so it sounds like several of us will be in the 2WW together. Yay for support!

Twylla....yay fun on the pap...NOT. Sounds positive that you'll get cycles under control!
Lilhimley... no news is good news but don't you just wish the news would come a little faster ;)
Update on me... spotting turned into AF this afternoon, along with some really nasty cramps :( As posted above I'm not too bummed out but I really really really want a Feb baby so I hope it happens. I bought a BBT after work so I'm going to start temping tomorrow. I hope I don't turn into a psycho baby making obsessed machine but I'm really excited to see what my body's doing. I'm praying for a textbook chart :D I'm still sticking around here though if you don't mind. I'll probably join up in the charting thread too but keep this place home.

Sorry about AF miaclear I hope you get your Feb baby though!!
Well I just figured out that the weekend that should be prime BDing I am going to be out of town without DH, I leave on 5/19 and come back 5/21, so not to bad but still frustrating. We will have to BD in the morning before I leave and then the night I come home so hopefully it will all work out. And then the week that I should be testing we are going to be camping with DHs family, the timing of everything this month is just not that great.

lilhimley I'm glad she didn't think anything was "wrong" at all, but super glad she's at least willing to allow you to take a test now to make sure. And it definitely sounds like she'll get a move on if it takes too much longer, which is fabulous news! I bet you're PG before you even get through those next two cycles!!!
miaclear Sorry about AF showing her ugly face. I'm actually quite keen on the idea of a February baby myself, so let's cross our fingers and toes extra tight this cycle, shall we?
Chelsea hee hee. It'll be like last Thianksgiving. A bunch of us were vissiting family or had family visiting us, so we were BDing on the sly... lol. It was like we were a bunch of teenagers, lol. Anyway, at least a camping trip would be a fun way to remember getting a BFP! lol. Good luck!

I am officially out :( CD1 for me today...
I probably O’d at least 1 day earlier than I thought (but I kind of suspected that all along) because otherwise this would be an unusually short LP for me. I am dealing with it much better than I did last month ~ no tears this time. I think now I'm just not getting why it’s not happening when we seem to be doing everything right??? Things I am going to do different this month:
1. Drink lots of green tea
2. Take a daily baby aspirin starting today. I remember reading somewhere that it was good for the uterine lining maybe, but if nothing else it is good for the heart so I figure it can't hurt
3.No more Energy Drinks. The nights I work I always have one, and occassionally two. That much caffeine is definately not good, especially if I'm trying to get pg! From now on I will just stick to my morning coffee.
I’m also thinking about maybe charting temps this month too? DH was totally against it when we started trying! He was adamant about wanting to just let it happen, but he also definitely didn’t think we wouldn’t be pg by now. I mentioned it to him on the phone this morning and was very surprised to hear he was all for it. I'm still not sure, but I am definately seriosly thinking about it. If nothing else I s'pose it will help me resist testing early because I will have a better idea of what is going on. WDYT??
Oh, and I forgot
4. I am DEFINITELY going to loose 6lbs by this time next month!!

MrsK, so sorry to hear that you're out for this month. :( I'm sending good thoughts your way. I'm glad you're planning for next month. If you need it, it's okay to have some sad time too. (I mean that in a very gentle way--you know best what you need.)
Me: Charting is interesting. I was reading TCOYF in the bookstore yesterday (too cheap/hesitant to actually buy it right now) and it's very persuasive about charting. I think I'll see what happens this cycle and then possibly chart the next. I thought charting would make me more uptight, but it can actually shrink the BD window so there's less pressure. That's an attractive thought for me. I feel like knowing more about my cycle would help me feel more in control. Also with my endo it'd be better to figure out problems as soon as possible.
CD9 for me so BD starts soon (my cycle last month was 28 days, so I'm sticking with that until I see otherwise...watch this one be completely different).
Chelsea, bleah about the timing. But this is your first month? I think? So maybe a little less pressure and lower expectations will be a good thing? Remember that the spermies live for days...so if your weekend isn't too long, you should be covered. (Sorry if I offend anyone with "spermies." It's just a silly word for me.) And after just one month of not really TTC, I think that any distraction during testing time is a good thing!
Miaclear, sorry about AF and bad cramps. It's bad enough without feeling painful! Bummer!! I hear you on charting...I'm thinking about that too.
lilhimley, what, you mean you're having a hard time relaxing? How can that be? Isn't it fun worrying about TTC and talking to professionals about it? Why can't you relax? ;) If only it were that easy! But if there is anything that helps you to relax...maybe do more of that. At least your dr. isn't seeing any major problems right now. I hope you get better news soon.
Twylla, ugh about another pap! Where's the "yuck" face when you need it? I'm glad this cycle will be ending soon. 100+ days is a long time to wait. Does the Provera have any side effects? I hope taking it goes okay.
Lanapoo, welcome to your 2WW! I hope it doesn't make you too crazy. I'm crossing my fingers for you. :)
pacificbliss and zhannushka, thanks for visiting! I hope your BFP's rub off on us.
teacher_jessica, I hear you on being more healthy. Hoping to have a smooth pregnancy and labor and recovery keep me going these days. I've been walking, jogging a little, and lifting weights. But I definitely have those "hibernation" days too. :o
jnshanna, I hope you stick around! And definitely think about what's best for you...an HSG does sound a little scary. Good luck to you while you go through all the tests and stuff...we're all thinking of you. :) Oh, and waxes definitely are painful...but it gets less so over time and it's better (for me) than all the bumps and stuff from shaving. But yeah, OUCH!
sadie, I hope the charting goes well. It's great that your DH is into it. Is he a scientist? :) Maybe the idea of numbers and data makes TTC more relatable for him?
kiki, I definitely have doubting feelings at times of "Why would I want to have a baby with YOU, anyway?" when DH is bugging me. But I think it's similar to when we were engaged and I was super sensitive thinking, "I have to live with this for the rest of my life?!?" So I try to take my doubts with a grain of salt, b/c I know that DH is the one for me and will make a great dad.
I'm sure I forgot someone, but my free time is over. Have a great day, all, and happy waiting, testing, charting, BDing, or whatever you are doing!

MrsK and miaclear - so sorry about AF showing up... :(
Just a quick update on me: My beta's are doubling every 43 hours, the number is now 1894! My progesterone is over 15 (I forgot to ask the exact number, but that's what the doctor said), which is what they want to see it at and they just want me to keep taking the supplements.

Sorry abotu AF MrsK and miaclear! I hope next month is the month for both of you!
Just hanging out at CD 6. I should be Oign right around the 24 and our anniversary is the 26 so I am hoping that is a sign. You know all big changes happen around the same time?:p

Sorry about AF MrsK!
You are the shout out queen j*east!!! I'm a cheapie too, and I found TCOYF on ebay? You might want to try there, I know I didn't pay too much! Provera hasn't shown any side effects for me so far, but the last time I took it, i had a wierd cycle to follow, with just 11 days before more spotting, enough that I started charting a new cycle. Plus, last time I got a bit of nausea, so I take it shortly before going to bed now. No biggie though.
kiki I'm not sure how much, but I remember the cycle I started drinking one cup of hot green tea each afternoon (try not to take it close to when you take your prenatal, since some studies suggest green tea interferes with folic acid absorbtion). I had TONS of EWCM. As in, gobs, it was crazy. Oh, and grapefruit juice also has the same effect appearantly. I think hot or cold green tea is fine.
Zhanna what a relief! I'm so happy for you! Enjoy your pregnancy!!!!
It sounds like it'll be a great anniversary looty!!! How many years has it been? Congrats! Ooog, and good luck! ;)
Nothing new with me. today is CD 36, just waiting to finish the provera, then wiat for AF.

Twylla, thanks for the encouragement!
Mia, sorry about stupid AF. I looked into the charting thread, but it's a little intimidating to me and I don't know if I can keep up. Let me know how it goes and then maybe I'll join too. Chelsea, maybe you can still catch the egg - a lot of babies are conceived on the "wrong" day.
MrsK, it's good to see that you have an action plan going into this cycle. While some people obsess about charting, I find it helps me feel more knowledgeable about what's going on with my body and I can see trends, etc.
j*east, good luck BDing! Have fun too!
Fabulous news for you Zhanna! Thanks for keeping us posted.
Looty, thanks for the support. Don't work too hard!
So, I'm starting to lose track, but I know at least Looty and I are due to O on the 24th. Anybody else Oing around that time?

Zhanna, that is great news to hear!!! I'm so excited for someone in this thread to be pregnant! I'm hoping I can still join you in the January thread, but who knows!!!
MrsK, I'm sorry to hear that AF has showed.
Sadie, my DH vetoed the car trip action if I am to ovulate during our vacation time. I think I'm okay with it though. We'll just have to BD before we leave and then right when we get back. Who knows when I'll be ovulating, I'm still waiting for AF!
j*east, I think you won the shoutouts for the day!:D
It's CD28 for me. I took a test this morning and it was BFN. I don't feel like AF is coming yet, though. The last couple of days i thought it would, but not now. My temperature hasn't dropped. Although, I'm just getting into the charting thing. I asked my sister how long it took her to get pregnant and she said they weren't even trying. They were going to try the next cycle, but she was still off the BC. Well, I have the entire next week off, so I can definitely do some relaxing and reading up on various things (charting and stuff like that-I'm determined, too!!)

I cant really do replies there has been soo much happening in thei thread since I was hear last but I will reply to Looty. Otherwise a general Sorry for those that af has managed to find and good luck to those who are testing and bding soon!
Looty~
Have you been stressed at all lately? Sometimes stress can throw off your O time. How long have you been TTC again? I know I could go look but I have very limited time since I am at work.
You know I think that was the thing that was upsetting me so much is that I havnt been stressed at all. Untill my temps didnt rise I had been the most relaxed in a long time. I think I was just doing my usual once in a while CF freak out and unfortunatly it happend to be at this time.
We have been TTc for 5 cycles now. I know not long by most standards but that mixed with cf is surprisingly hard. Im just glad i dont have whacky cycles in the mix aswell!

Well I've been away for too long to try and do SOs. I'm sorry for those who didn't have good news this month and I'm happy for those that did.
As for me I've just been treking along waiting to O in my long cycles. Today's CD23 and I was on the right path (starting to get watery CM heading towards EWCM) but then yesterday onthe way to work I hit two deer with my car and since then my CM has dried right up. Last cycle I O'd around CD26 so I'm hoping that my body with jump right back into the swing of things here soon.
Sadie
05-12-2006, 08:26 AM
Yowzers, I think I've missed too much to do a lot of SOs! But I did want to say, miaclear, that's so funny that you had that dream! When I started charting about 2 weeks ago, I had those kind of dreams for the first 3-4 nights. It was terrible! I'd wake up at 4 am thinking I had missed my alarm going off or something. One night I dreamed that I had fallen asleep with the thermometer in my mouth and kept trying to take it out, but of course I hadn't and it wasn't in my mouth. They have stopped now, thank goodness!
MrsK, temping has been going really well for me, you should try it. The best thing is that my BBT has a memory function (maybe they all do, I don't know). So when my alarm goes off, I don't even have to turn the light on, I just stick the BBT in my mouth, wait till it beeps, then turn it off and go back to sleep. Whenver I wake up I can look at what the last temp was.
J*east, DH is not a scientist, but that would definitely make more sense!
Sorry for all those who had AF show up! We haven't had a BFP in here (other than Zhanna's confirmation, which we knew in April would stick :) )this month yet, have we? C'mon, who's going to be first?!!

Kiki....my cat this morning was using my BBT as her personal toy as well! She knocked it on the ground and then started chewing the sleeves that came with it.

My AF has always had I guess you could call them clumps. Not a lot or consistantly but I've always wondered what that was all about, or if it's normal. I brought them up with my OB once and she put me on a different pill where they decreased but never went away. Now I'm off and I still have them. Anyone?

Thanks LadyD! :) I'm sure before I know it it'll be time to test.
One thing I'm really happy about is that after feeling ovulation pain on CD13 I feel like...YAY, my body is really working! It's very exciting to know that after being on BCP's and never wondering if you're fertile or have bizarre cycles that it really looks like my body is doing what it's supposed to. I know it's not guaranteed but after all of my health issues (hyperthyroidism, uterine fibroids, and surgery to get the fibroids out) I'm going to think positively and trust my instincts on this one.
Whew...sorry about my weird little rant :o

Back to CD1 for me and on to cycle 2. I guess I am not quite as a fertile Mrytle as the rest of my family!! But I'm excited about temping and I think that I might try OPK, too. Twylla~It will be five years already! I can't believe it's been that long. I hope the provera works soon and you can get onto your next cycle.
lilhimley~Yay for getting your cheap OPKs and tests. I hope they work for you this cycle and we can both get BFP at the same time. :D
SwaneeK~Sorry about AF. I love your list of reasons it would be good to have a February baby. Especially the shorter labor one!:p
Squee~I am glad that you are feeling better now. I can understand how ttc mixed with cf would be really stressful. I hope that you get your BFP soon so you don't have to worry about one any more.
j*east~Good luck this weekend and into the week. I have to agree with you that the bd'ing part of the cycle is the best...well until I have a cycle that ends with a BFP!
Sarah~I am so sorry to hear about the accident. I hope that you are okay and you are back to normal really soon! Good luck bding.
Sadie~That is so funny that you had temping dreams too. I think that if I temped I would be having the same dreams. I don't know who is next but I hope to be on the graduate list soon. When are you due to test?
kiki~Sounds like something my dog would do! I am glad that it wasn't destroyed.
LadyD~You don't have too much longer til O. Good luck and hopefully you will get a BFP in about 3 weeks!
miaclear~I hope you had fun at the festival last night. I didn't even know that Hootie and the Blowfish were still around. As far as the clumps...I don't really know the answer to that but I know I have had them a fw times (not often).
Lana~I agree that the first 2ww can be one of the most trying becuase you aren't used to overanalyzing everything. Hang in there and hopefully the symptoms will stick around until you get a BFP! Sounds like you have a good outlook on the whole thing too, and that is worth a ton!
Uhhhh....I am pretty sure I got everyone! I am just hanging out waiting to O. I have another couple weeks to go though. I hate all the waiting but I am feeling better about TTC now that Af is gone. Third morning of temping...it's getting better. No dreams last night but I did wake up twice in the middle of the night in anticipation of temping. Hopefully I'll get that out of my system by the weekends end.
The festival was fun last night. Hootie was great although they did a lot of cover songs and I would have thought they had enough of their own stuff to do an hour show? The Fray played too and that was good. Good times had by all.
Happy Weekend to everyone!

Miaclear, I had to come tell you that I had a temping dream too! And I'm not even temping! But I did buy TCOYF yesterday, so maybe that's it.
Just checking in...hope everyone is doing well. TMI coming: DH and I did a lot of BDing this weekend, but I just got EWCM last night, so it looks like we are in for a few more days. Mostly it is fun but I worry about running out of steam!
I bought TCOYF yesterday b/c I keep reading it covertly in bookstores. I'm thinking that I'll start charting next cycle if this isn't the one for us. The more I read, the more interesting it sounds. I showed DH the pictures of the cervical opening and he didn't freak out. Good man.
So...sending good thoughts to everyone in lieu of SO's today.

Hey ladies. Can I join???
We've been TTA since November and were going to wait to officially start TTC in September but apparently DH is ok if we SWH! We'll see if he changes his mind the first time we attempt to BD without protection when I'm fertile!! I'm currently charting and am on cycle #5. I started taking Vitex this cycle to see if it will help regulate my very irregular cycles!!!

DH: Gary (30)

Hi everyone, Hope everyone had a Soon to be Mother's day... :D :D :D
I went to Border's on Saturday looking at all the different books on TTC, well I looked at the TCOYF, it looked a little too confusing for me so I bought, Getting Pregnant, the natural way... It prepares your body, mind and spirit for pregnancy, Improve you overall feelings of health and well being, reduces stress and anxiety and creats balance in your life. From what I read in the store it looks really good. I have had tons of different dreams about having babies... and it's not making the next 2 months go by any quicker, and I'm driving Eric Nuts  .... so I figured i could sart reading about how to prepare myself for pregnancy and motherhood. ;)
Have a great Monday everyone.

Other than that, I'm way to behind to even attempt shout outs, lol. Sorry ladies, but I'm really feeling like what we're lacking is another BFP, so let's go testers!!! hee hee.
Me update: today is CD40, I took my last provera pill yesterday for this cycle, so hopefully this cycle will wrap up soon. I feel so cheated having these long cycles. I just wish it were once cycle per month, give or take a few days. Nope. But at least this time I should be a few days under CD50. E'sprincess - sighhhh hopefully you can stay in control unlike me. i totally drive DH nuts with TTC.
question for you guys -
has anyone had an ovulation dip? i know they arent common but they are possible from what i have read.
this morning temp was SO low - much lower than normal.
so i'm wondering if thats it? i had what i think was fertile CM over the weeknd but now its gone and my temps never rose so i dont think i Oed over the weekend. i think i'm cd22 today.

I agree with Twylla. We DESPERATELY need a BFP here. I am thinking my test date, assuming AF stays away will be sometime next week...like Wednesday maybe. I am not sure about my cycle this month. FF says I O'd CD 18 (late for me) but it doesn't look that way to me. Also, I could have my CD 1 date off because I'm stupid and don't know the difference between spotting and AF. Of course, I didn't start temping until like CD 11 so that could be it too.
So I had a pregnancy dream last night. My BFF is due June 8, but according to her Dr. could go any day now. I knew this in my dream and I was like 6 months pg. or so. I went to my Dr. and she asked me if I wanted to go ahead and break my water bag and get labor going. The rest of my dream I boo-hoo'd because I let my Dr. talk me into something that wasn't good for me or my baby. I was aware that BFF was a lot further along than me and that I had just done something that wasn't good. I guess objecting to what my Dr. says is a fear of mine, so my dream took it to the extreme. I just wish I was pg so I could worry about that stuff and not wonder what adoption costs. Anyway, that's all for now. Come on BFPs!!!!

Kiki- I have had a dip every cycle that I have charted religiously. You can really only know after the fact. Do you have a link to your chart? mine is in my sig.
ETA: my chart is not in my sig, and it won't show past cycles anyway, so it would be useless to you! Guess you'll just have to trust me!

Welcome FSUSammy!! I remember you from the tta thread :D
kiki ~ ovulation dips are common, but you don't know that that is what it is until after the fact. I think you may have confused it with implantation dips as those aren't as common. HTH
I'm sorry if I forgot to welcome anyone, or missed anyting important!!! I just seem to have fallen a little behind here.....
As for me, I decided to try temping this month. DH was all for it (very sursprisingly). Maybe our timing hasn't been as on as I thought? If nothing else I will have a better idea of what is going on ~ and maybe better control with testing too early!!!
Lots of baby dust to all our upcoming testers!!!

6DPO here. I don't think I'll be able to hold out past Sunday (12DPO) for testing but I don't want to test before that for fear of having a BFN, which will bum me out. At this point my *fake symptoms* have gone away so I feel pretty sure that I'm not pg. I'm still hoping to be surprised though :D
Hope everyone is doing well!

kiki - I usually have an O dip, but sometimes it happens a day or 2 after FF may say I should have. My last cycle I actually had a temp increase 2 days after what would have been my O dip, but it was right on CD22, which is when I normally would O so it was right. Implantation dips are not very common and even if you get a dip, it doesn't guarantee that you actually got pregnant that cycle. (I actually had 2 dips on the cycle that I got pregnant) Charts are good to get an idea of what your body is doing, but you can't rely on it totally for knowing if you are pregnant or not. You will be able to see more about what your body is doing with more than just 1 chart, you may need to have several of them.
Here is my chart if you want to see what I was talking about: Ericka's Chart (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/22964)

kiki - you may have actually O'd yesterday, you will have to see what your temp says tomorrow. Since you are just off BCP, you may be having an annovulatory cycle, but it's to early to tell right now.

Welcome, smittenk and fsusammy!
kiki, I can relate...I am having O confusion also, but I'm not testing so I really have no idea.
Our BD fest is over for now, which is kind of a relief. :o I'm tired! But I'm not 100% if I o'ed or not so I'm checking CM for another day. If I do get a BFP, it won't be until June. Bleah. June seems really far away. Really far.
Is anyone testing? We need a BFP!! Good luck to all testers!

Welcome, smittenk and fsusammy!
j*east - ITA with being tired after the BD Fest! Good luck with the 2ww :D I won't be testing until Sunday, longer if I can hold out that long.
Off topic here ladies - Please spare a positive thought or a prayer for my mom. She told me last night that her biopsy results came back as cancerous in her breast :( I'm really upset but optimistic at the same time. Looks like they caught this super early and she'll probably only have to have a lumpectomy and some radiation as opposed to mastectomy and chemo. Apparently her mamogram came back as normal but her dr. wanted her to see a specialist about the lump just in case. Thank God her dr. was proactive about this. I just never thought this could happen to MY mommy :(

First, Lanapoo I'm so sorry to hear about the scary diagnosis. A good friend of mine battled breast cancer successfully, and her doctors told her that there are 2 things she can control: her diet and her additude, and the doctors would take care of the rest. So along with the hugs I'm sending you, a touch of (unsolicited, sorry) advice: love and support your mom, that'll help her additude. She needs to be positive, and she can beat it! I'm sending plenty fo prayers your way!
Ali Hi! Welcome to the thread, I hope you have a short stay here, then you can join Kara as a mom!
kiki Try not to panic yet. Since you are just off BCP, sometimes these things take a while to normalize. Some say it takes a while to work the pill out of your system, but I don't buy that, since people can get PG if they miss just one pill! But rest assured that this is normal, and even common. Of course, when I first went off BCP about a year ago, I was the first to panic! Good luck.
