Charting Our Course to the BFPs
http://www.ripleysorlando.com/images2/fertilitystatues.jpg
The fertility statues are known to work for some who rub them around the time of possible conception.
It is said that the baby is the most potent part of the statue.
So rub away! :D It's worth a shot!
Who we are:
This is a group of women using charting (temperatures, CM, CP, OPK/FM results, or a combination of these) to try to conceive and, along the way, are learning a heckuvalot about their own bodies! Many of us use a software program to keep track of our charts as well as allowing us to share them with each other. The most common ones are FertitlityFriend.com and Ovusoft.com.
Your threadmistress for this thread is Baby Lust!
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, feel free to email me! (charting_is_knowledge@yahoo.com)
To our members:
This thread gets very busy at times, so in order to keep things less overwhelming and a bit more organized, we start a new thread each month as well as after 3 BFPs. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over. The threadmistress would really appreciate it if everyone would post their updates in Red. That way, if I get a bit behind, it is much quicker to get the thread up-to-date.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
Want to join the fun??
We welcome one and all. It doesn’t matter if you have never charted before or if you’ve been charting to avoid. I am sure you will find lots of help and support in this group.
If you would like to join, CD1 is the time to do it! That way, we can cheer you on
throughout your cycle, rather than 2 days before you test!
Please don't be discouraged by the number of posts in this thread. You don’t have to read the whole thread to join. Feel free to just jump in on the last page. Just read through these first couple of posts and post a reply with the following information and we will get you added right away. Of course, none of this info is a must but we like to know a little bit about one another.

Things I Have Learned About TTC
by WC's Sherylb
* TTC is a journey. You will discover things about yourself that you never expected. You will face fears you never thought you had. You will find joy in little things.
* TTC can bring you closer to your DH, or it can pull you apart. If your marriage is not solid, you will find out quickly.
* No one understands exactly what you are feeling at any given moment, but someone can empathize at least a little bit.
* You will experience an emotional roller coaster ride. There will be highs and lows and fast moments and slow. Sometimes you have to wait in a very, very slow moving line. You may not even get the seat you want. It is not always fun, it can be scary, but in the end it is worth it.
* "Just relax" is the last thing in the world you want to hear from someone, but it is OK if you say it about yourself.
* There will be moments when you question your own decision to start TTC. You will wonder if you should wait or if you should just give up. Those are normal. But you will get past those feelings.
* The blue and green turtle likes to pop its head out! You will hear of someone's pregnancy and turn green with envy and blue inside because it isn't you.
* It isn't fair, it isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. But you keep doing it because the reward is worth it.
* You will be your best friend and your worst enemy. Your body will
surprise you and yet disappoint you.
* Some women do get lucky and conceive right away. Others aren't so lucky and have to struggle to get there. Hope you will be in the first category, but prepare yourself to be in the second.
* Once you decide to TTC, there will be babies and pregnant women everywhere! You could swear there is a baby boom going on!
* You will have questions. No one will ever be in exactly your position, so don't be surprised when no one can give you exactly the answer you are looking for. But there are people that can contribute, so don't be afraid to ask!
* Two lines on a pregnancy test is not the end of the struggle. Pregnancy has lots of struggles in and of itself.

- Common TTC abbreviations
This is a list of some of the more common TTC abbreviations. I know as a newcomer to the TTC threads, it can be hard to keep them all straight. I hope these will help, and if anyone has any they would like added, please let me know!
•2WW: "2 week wait" - The approximate time from possible conception to menstruation due date; Pregnancy tests should be taken near the end of the 2WW.
•AF: "Aunt Flo"; Your period; Menstruation
•AFNW: "Aunt Flo Not Wanted"; the day your period is expected to start, but you are hoping it doesn't!
•AO: anovulatory (cycle without ovulation)
•BBs: "boobs"; breasts
•BBL: "be back later"
•BBT: Basal Body Thermometer; This is used to measure your basal body temperature, when you wake up in the morning, after at least 3 hours of sleep, before you start to move around; Use a special BBT thermometer to take your temperature because they measure the small changes in temperature from day to day more accurately than the regular fever thermometers.
•BCP: Birth control pills
•BD'ing: "baby dancing"; baby-making intercourse
•BFN: "Big Fat Neutral" or “Big Fat Negative”; Negative pregnancy test.
•BF'ing: breast-feeding
•BRB: "be right back"
•CD: cycle day; a particular day in your menstrual cycle (example: CD1 is the first day of your period)
•CL: Cover Line; a visual tool used to separate the low (pre-ovulatory) temps from high (post-ovulatory) temps; a coverline is typically based on the temperatures 6 days prior to ovulation.
•CM: cervical mucous; one of the most useful clues your body can give you in predicting your fertility; it can range from dry, creamy, sticky, or (the most fertile) egg white/watery type.
•CF: cervical fluid; same as cervical mucus
•CP: cervical position; an optional, but sometimes really useful, fertility sign; CP will generally be low, firm and closed before and after ovulation, and high, soft and open during your fertile time.
•DD: "dear daughter"
•DH: "dear husband"
•DS: "dear son"
•DPO: Days Past Ovulation; number of days from your post-ovulatory temperature rise. (Example: 1DPO is the day after your ovulation)
•Endo: endometriosis (can be a fertility problem)
•EDC and EDD: estimated date of confinement (antiquated, but still used by physicians) and estimated date of delivery
•EPT: a brand of pregnancy test, or, generic for "early pregnancy test"
•EW or EWCM: egg white cervical mucus; the most fertile quality CM; it is slippery, clear and stretchy, like egg whites; also EWCF
•FAM: Fertility Awareness Method; the method of fertility and/or birth control that correlates the physical changes you experience during your cycle to predict when you are most fertile
•FF: Fertility Friend, an online (free, for basic services) fertility charting site (website); (could also be formula feeding; check context)
•FM: fertility monitor
•FMU: first morning urine
•FP: follicular phase; the phase before ovulation, where the egg matures in the ovaries
•FRED: First Response Early Detection (pregnancy test)
•HCG: human chorionic gonadotropin; the hormone that is present during pregnancy and what the HPT's and blood test measure to determine if you are pregnant
•HTH: "hope that helps"
•HPT: home pregnancy test; a urine pregnancy test you can take at home
•IMHO: "in my humble opinion"
•IMO: "in my opinion"
•IUI: intra-uterine insemination
•IVF: in vitro fertilization
•KU: knocked up
•LH: leutenizing hormone; the LH surge is what is measured by the OPKs; this hormone signals the egg to burst from the ovary
•LP: luteal phase; the phase of your cycle that begins just after ovulation and continues for 10-18 days, ending with the start of your next period; during the LP, your body continues to build up the lining of your uterus, and produce hormones which would support a pregnancy; this is the time when a fertilized egg can implant into the uterine lining
•NFP: Natural Family Planning; similar to FAM, but with abstinence during the fertile period
•O, Oing, Oed: ovulation, ovulating, or ovulated
•OPK: ovulation predictor kit; tests for presence of LH surge that usually precedes ovulation by 12-48 hours; these tests are quite expensive and not always accurate (if you take medication or depending on your age); these are optional when charting with FF, but if your fertility data is not clear it can bring more light and help interpret difficult cases
•OS: Ovusoft; charting software based on TCOYF
•PCOS: polycystic ovarian syndrome (a fertility problem)
•PG: pregnant
•PIAC: pee in a cup
•POAS: pee on a stick
•RE: reproductive endocrinologist
•SA: semen analysis
•SH: "sweet husband"
•SO: "significant other"
•SYS, SYL : See ya soon! or See ya later!
•TCOYF: Taking Charge Of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler; a book and website about charting and fertility.
•TMI: "too much information" - There is no such thing when TTC!
•TTA: "trying to avoid"
•TTC: "trying to conceive"
•TTFN: "ta-ta for now"
•TTYL, TTYS: "talk to you later" or "talk to you soon"

I had some wicked O pains on Friday and Saturday so I'm pretty sure I O'd on Friday and again on Saturday, since it was on both sides. I haven't temped the past 2 days because of our trip so I will temp tomorrow and see if it is in my post-O range. I can't believe how long it is taking me to O!

Thanks Amanda!
My chart has been so friggin' wacky this month, but when I went back over my notes I saw that I had actually noted which temps I thought I should disregard. The result is something that half-makes sense, especially after all the FPS' I've had the past 3 days. I'm pretty sure I O'd CD15 or 16, which would put me at 6 or 7 DPO. Which means: Amanda, could you please move me back to "Think I O'd; testing July 10-16?." Thanks!
Yesterday when I got in the shower I noticed that my nipples were large, hard & very sensitive (they still are today, and I could swear that my areolas look larger & darker, but that could be all in my head :)). So that got me thinking, and I realized I'd been peeing non-stop the past two days. Then yesterday afternoon I developed a tightness across the pelvic area that turned into minor AF-like cramps. I've also been very dizzy & have break-outs on my back. With the dip in temp, I'm wondering, implantation signs? Probably just wishful thinking:D. Anyone have any input?

I'm so freakin' frustrated with my cycle. Still no EWCM and no sign of O. My cycles used to be about 28-30 days before DS. I'm starting to worry that maybe something is wrong. It's probably me just being oversensitive and worried.
Another question: If no EWCM does that mean I'm not ovulating or just that I'm not getting my most fertile mucus?
Any insight?
Baby Lust
07-10-2005, 11:21 PM
Kelly, I'm sorry this cycle is becoming frustrating! As far as EWCM goes, you may not be getting to "the good stuff". It is possible to O without any, but I would be willing to bet it is hiding. Do you check internally or externally?
kmmommy
07-11-2005, 05:48 AM
Mostly externally, I guess. Every now and then I'll check internally but just the outer edges. Before Kaeden everything came out - no need to check!

I just don't know what to think anymore! I think my last posts indicated I thought our timing was completely off and how FF pushed up my O date by 2 days which I thought completely put us out of the running. I also mentioned how my temp dropped slightly on Saturday and big time yesterday, now it's way up again today. I also had some very very minor spotting yesterday so today FF gives me an indication that it might be an implantation dip/bleeding  ! I am completely confused as my chart keeps changing!!!

07-11-2005, 06:42 AM
Mornin' everyone! My temps are only getting higher now:D. I almost always have a temp drop at 3 DPO, and this one stayed down until 5/6 DPO. Does that count as an implantation dip? :P.
mrst2b2003, Check out www.peeonastick.com (http://www.peeonastick.com/hpts.html) for an up-to-date list & review of HPTs. The above link takes you right to the list, but it's a great site to check out for more information than you ever needed to know about HPTs :).
Bellefior, I was chart-stalking yesterday and even then I thought your temp drop could be an i-dip. Did you have any cramping? Regardless, it's looking good :D.
Kaeden's Mommy, I check all the way to my cervix and for me there can be a huge difference. As I get older I notice I don't "leak" as much as I used to.
LittleStar, looks like we're O buddies. Good luck!

Flygirl yesterday it felt a lot like it feels when AF is about to make an appearance and I was wondering if she was going to make a very early appearance this month (last months LP was 13 days I believe)? But if we stick by the 13 day LP, then AF should be making her appearance by the weekend. If she doesn't show by Monday, then I probably definitely will test beginning of next week.

Good morning ladies! Just checking in! Need to go chart-stalk! My temp was sky-high this morning so I know that I O'd on Friday and possibly on Saturday. I wish I could get an u/s to see if I am right! :p Friday was the left side and Saturday was the right side. Hmmm ... :D
Fly, Sounds promising! I always refer back to Tulip, a prior member of this thread. She BD'd O-5 and got pregnant! And it stuck! I can't remember when she is due but that gives us all hope! :D Good luck!
Kaeden, I agree that you should really check your CM at your cervix. But FF says not to switch in the middle of a cycle because it might skew your results. Use your own judgement on that one! ;)
MrsT, I buy Target brand OPKs. They are cheap, and very very easy to read! They also help curb your POAS obsession! :p

Just checking in quick... FF says I'm 5 DPO, but I think I'm 4 DPO. I'm flying to Wisconsin tomorrow to visit my parents, and won't be back until Sunday. I doubt I'll be temping while I'm there, but I will try. I KNOW that my mother is going to be grilling me on whether we're trying. She doesn't know we are, and I'm not telling her. But I know if I don't tell her, all I will hear all week is "You're getting old and you need to start soon, I had fertility problems and you will too." I just don't want to hear it.
I feel bad for my DH... I can tell he's really sad that we haven't gotten pregnant yet. I'm not sad, so much as anxious. One of my friends has a 9 month old and is going to start trying again really soon, which is kind of weird. We'd figured that we'd be pregnant before she was, but I have a feeling that's not going to happen. Ah well, it'll happen in due time.

This morning FF put me at 3 dpo. Could be or I might just be 2 dpo. I stopped doing the OPKs on Thurs. when DH went out of town since there was nothing I could do about it anyway. The last one I did was not exactly a + but it was pretty darn close. I have decided not to test unless AF is late. I just don't want to stress myself out unnecessarily, considering DH was out of town on my probable O day. I see a lot of us will be testing soon. Hope there are some BFPs in the works!!

Flygirl ~ :D But your chart is much better after the weekend! You have CHs and very high temps!! Very promising!!!!!!
Bellefior ~ Just out of curiosity, I looked back at my chart for the cycle I got pg, and I had a big implantation dip on 7DPO.
***
Anyone know anything about FRER HPTs and evaporation lines? My friend (really, my friend, not me!) has tested three times w/ FRER for the past 3 days and has gotten a 2nd line that has no color. I even examined the tests and we cant figure out if it's an evap line or a very faint +. She even called the FRER customer hotline and FRER insists that it does not have evap lines on their tests. Any words of wisdom that I can pass on?
As for me, I am not temping for a few more days. I obsess too much over the individual temps, whether it is higher or lower than before, and it's just eating me up. Today is 7 DPO for me, and I won't test until at least 10DPO, maybe even 12 if I can hold out (yeah, right)...last cycly my LP was 16 days (!) b/c of the progesterone supps, so this could be a looooooong LP if I'm not pg :(

I am only CD4
My cycle has only just begun. I start using OPKs next Monday per my REs instructions. My one and only ovulatory cycle (thanks to ovarian drilling) had a LP of 15 days. This cycle I'm going to try really hard to wait until at least 15DPO. I even vowed not to buy any HPTs but the darn CBE OPK came with a free pregnancy test. Now how will I avoid the temptation.
UTChick

ds2003~
I bought the same package of CBE OPKs! However, my thinking is that since it came with only one HPT, maybe it will keep me from the obsessive 5 HPTs in one week problem I had a couple of months ago.

Babylove, On the contrary, FRER is NOTORIOUS for evap lines!! I can't believe that they would say that! I would tell your friend to buy an Equate. I have never heard of an evap line on them.
Good luck to your friend! :)

Well, I got cross hairs today, not entirely sure if it's accurate or not... but will just wait another couple days to see what happens w/ the temps. According to www.splenda.com it is safe, however they don't credit any sort of medical studies to back it up. I tried to copy the paragraph but the site wouldn't let me. If you'd like to read it, go to the site and search for "pregnant."

Question: A good friend of mine just told me that she miscarried. Would it be appropriate to send her flowers to let her and her DH know we're thinking of them?
Baby Lust

LS, I definitely think that is appropriate! I have done just that and they really appreciated it! But I wouldn't send them to her at work. Home is much more appropriate. I am so sorry for your friend. :(

LittleStar ~ Flowers would be very sweet to send to your friend. My friend just m/c'd too and I bought her some B&BW stuff. Actually, when I m/c'd in April, that same friend surprised me w/ a gift certificate for a mani/pedi which was so thoughtful, and I really appreciated that. Sorry to your friend :(

I got my first ever + OPK today! YAY! I am so excited. :) I got it on CD16, I am learning so much I swear, because I have 27/28 day cycles I assumed I was ovulating on CD14, just goes to show! Maybe I'll actually have somewhat of a chance now I have more knowledge, rather than missing 'o' by miles and BD'ing at totally wrong times. I have EWCM today as well. We;ve been covering our bases pretty well so far, and will get one more BD in tonight.
Now to go and catch up on the last few pages.
Good luck all!

That's a great temp jump Baby Lust!
I'm at 10dpo and I think I'll test tomorrow if my temp remains high. I'm at 98.1 now but I've had temps this high before so who knows.
Good morning girls:

Caro~Welcome! Isn't amazing what you learn from taking your temperature. I would have believed the 14 day thing too, but I learned that I am really a day 16 or 17 girl (depends on the month).
Baby Lust~That is a great jump! I am keeping everything crossed for you.
O should be here this weekend. DH wanted to go to Columbus this weekend, but I put my foot down (we would have shared a hotel room with one of his friends) and told him this is our baby making weekend. He said:
" How do you know? Did the internet tell you? Or did your temperature and your pulsating vagina tell you?"
Which of course I totally had to laugh at. He is starting to get it, but isn't very subtle about it.
Hope to see some BFPs real soon :)

LOL, this totally sounds like something my husband would say. :D He's slowly starting to realize that this whole thing isn't bunk, and that it's helpful information.
I have felt like poo the last couple days... sore bbs and lots of cramps. I'm only 6 DPO so I'm sure it's a FPS, but, yuck.

LMAO Jody! My DH is getting into it too. Each morning after my thermometer beeps, he asks what it is, then asks "is that good?" And as I'm *constantly* gazing at my chart (like it's gonna talk to me or something), he'll sometimes peek over my shoulder to gaze too!

Another temp drop today. I have a feeling AF will by making her appearance just in time for the weekend :( .
On other news, I think I mentioned that DH was laid off at his new job 3 weeks ago when he had only been working there for 3 weeks because the person the boss originally wanted to hire suddenly became available. He had left his job of 3 1/2 years to go there. Anyway, this morning, the phone rang while I was still at home and it was someone he had sent a resume to a while ago. He has an interview on Friday! Please keep your fingers crossed that he gets it, but even if he doesn't, as he said to me, at least he knows that he is wanted (he was feeling pretty down on himself when he was laid off after only 3 weeks)! If he does get the job, he promised we will go on a vacation before he starts!

Speaking of DHs... I always tell my husband about our BD-ing chart... if I'm feeling neglected, I'll tell him that our chart looks like butt, and we need more X's. :D
This month it's "you should check out our chart hun! We're rabbits!" hee hee.
But jody that sounds like something my hubby would say if I were to give him enough information! Mine would be asking about CM if I filled him in on it!

Nothing exciting here... 7 DPO, no FPS, just AFS (Aunt Flow Symptoms) -- the Squishy feeling I get before AF. O'ed about 8 days early because I didn't take Pre-Nats this month. I think I'll not to take pre-nats next cycle too, and then I'll be close to O-day when I go see the OB for my 1 year of trying appointment. Which by the way, I hit yesterday. Exactly 1 year of trying yesterday. :(

Hey everyone! This thread has been busy today. :)
I've given up on using my chart as any sort of indicator for anything. It's just too weird. And you guys are going to be cracking up at me when AF shows up. I'm sure you're laughing now at how crazy I am watching these symptoms. Talk about obsession.
The big ones, though, because I know they're different, are the size of my nipples, and the appearance of small bumps on my areolas. Montgomery's glands? I got hit with "afternoon sickness" yesterday. I choked down a piece of pizza and within 30 min was hit with MAJOR heartburn, cramps & nausea that lasted until I went to bed. BUT...I have IBS, so those symptoms aren't that unusual - they're just not usually so bad. But I tested this morning - BFN. I'm trying very, very hard not to obsess ;)
babylove, you obviously have a lot more patience than I do with testing. Good for you for holding out!
QOTD: Though we all just want a happy, healthy baby, if you could choose the gender, what would you choose? What would your DH choose?
I think I would choose a boy, but DH has been pretty clear that he'd prefer a cute little blond daughter.
ETA: I guess it's normal for M's glands to get a little larger during the LP, I've just never noticed them before. OK, that's a downer.[/i]

Shelby, We try to BD about 4 days before O and one day after, but that doesn't always happen... in fact, it rarely happens, so I just try to make sure to BD O-2 and O-1 and hopefully O day if at all possible. But as long as you have fertile CM, sperm can live 5-6 days, so get your groove on when you can, but try not to stress about it if you take a day off! :)

Ladies, looks like AF is on her way. Very heavy spotting this afternoon. Today is CD 27 and 9 DPO, which means either this cycle's LP is much shorter than last months (13 days), or the original O date given to me by FF which was then changed (to 2 days later) is more than likely the correct one (original date would give my CD 27 and 11 DPO). Assuming this continues, and it's not just spotting, I'll be officially updating my stats tommorrow AM. I guess that temp dip 2 days ago wasn't an implantation dip. :(

LS, Typically 12DPO would be the best day to test, in order to get the most reliable result. I know people have gotten BFPs as early as 8DPO (Equate HPT) and as late as 14DPO or later... I would say at least wait until 10DPO. Good luck!

8 DPO for me... I stopped temping 2 days ago b/c I obsess too much. I am actually glad that I stopped b/c I feel much more in control of myself and don't have an urge to test at all yet. FPS this month are....extreme gassiness (giving DH a run for his money!); low back pain; pinching pains on my side (not really concentrated in the lower abdomen region, but I feel it there too). Who knows!!
BTW, my friend w/ the evap line got a BFP this morning (though it was light...but I shared our philosophy that "a line is a line")...my turn!

Hey - Popping in to say hello.
Just got a call from my Dr who said my Thyroid came in normal - and gave me the green light to get pg. Not that I had a red light - hee hee.. but gave me the clean bill of health.
On another note - I've been spotting for a couple days now. Not sure what is up. If this is AF, I wish she would just start! Jeez... If I did actually O (I got CH, but with this cycle, who knows) - then I'm on possibly 4DPO or 1 DPO??
QOTD
Twins actually run in my family. I'm a fraternal twin and my mom is a fraternal twin, so we are all but guessing that we'll have a set of our own. Hope a boy and girl, but if I have all boys I'd be OK. Not sure about all girls ... never been a girly girl... wouldn't know what to do with one :D
DH is an athletic guy, so I'm sure he would love boys.
Hope everyone is well. Come on BFPs!

Today was my 2nd peak temp so hopefully tomorrow will also be. I will be jumping on DH tonight and in the morning just in case!
QOTD: DH and I really wanted a girl for #1, but are so thrilled that we got our Kaeden. We'd love to have a little girl as we plan to have only 2, but twins run on both sides so we're a bit nervous about that. Plus, my OB told me she believes Kaeden was a twin and that I lost that one at 8 weeks 2 days. I hadn't had a u/s yet, but had bloodwork done and my hCG levels dropped a lot. I had been bleeding badly. As cliche as it sounds I really don't care as long as the baby is healthy.
Sorry to those who are being haunted by AF and good luck to those O'ing and in the 2WW!

Hmm. never thought of that. Two possible implantation dips = twins??
Take a look at my preg chart, I had two dips with spotting. I thought for sure AF was coming with the second one but when my temp shot back up the next day I was convinced I was pg. Still don't know if it's twins yet, haven't had an U/S. In the beginning I was convinced it was but now I don't feel that vibe anymore. I am a fraternal twin myself so I thought the chances of a twin having twins would be low but I just read that CTs Punkin mom is a twin that had twins so who knows. I don't have an U/S for another month. Good luck to you!

QOTD: I would love a girl for my first. I had my cards read once at a holiday party, and she said she saw little girls in my future, and maybe one boy. Three total. I could totally live with that! Though, I would love four :)
babylove - when do you plan on testing? I'm 7 DPO, so we're at about the same stage.
I'm hopeful this cycle, but trying not to get myself too psyched up in case this isn't it. I'm at 7 DPO and kind of felt something going on in the left side of my abdomen... not sure what, but something!
This is only my 2nd cycle charting, and I'm happy b/c my current chart is looking nicer than last cycle! I can't really qualify "nicer" but it gives me some hope! Once I get the temping thing down a little better, I may follow the lead of some of you and stop temping after O.

jody~ Your DH's comment completely sounds like something my DH would say.
BTW, he asked me again this morning if I "felt" pregnant and I again explained for the 17th time why I don't think this was our month. He said he found it hard to believe that we can only get pg certain days out of each cycle because "those high school girls get pg all the time!" I told him they must just be "lucky." Then after I entered my temp I was staring at and scruntinizing my chart when he walked by and said, "If you stare at it long enough, something on there might just change!"
mayham
07-12-2005, 07:43 PM
babylove - You're testing soon, good luck! I'm going to try and wait 18 DPO this time, figuring if I do things differently from last time, when I tested early and didn't get pg, then this time it might work.
UTChick - I'm guilty of staring at my chart as well. DH and I went to a baby event at our local hospital, and the doctor opened with the joke that the only people who get pg on the first try are high school kids in the back seat of a car. Maybe if we all start BDing in the car.... :)

He said he found it hard to believe that we can only get pg certain days out of each cycle because "those high school girls get pg all the time!" I told him they must just be "lucky."
Next time, you can tell him its more than luck. Young girls usually have more days of EWCM, so the swimmers can last longer. That, plus young guys usually have sperm that are faster, stronger swimmers. I tell that to the students in my sex-ed class all the time. Kids seem to think that because they are young, they are less fertile and less likely to get pregnant, when in reality it is quite the opposite.

Ladies it's official, the temps are still down and the spotting did turn out to be AF. Not an entirely unexpected result. But this month's cycle was a little shorter than last month's and my LP was 9 as opposed to 13 last month, so I'm starting to think the first O date I was given, 2 days earlier may have been correct after all. Anyway, at least I won't have to worry about having AF when we go to my in-laws beach house this weekend. Trying to see the positive in this. ;)
Good luck to all the testers this month! Threadmistress, can you move me back to waiting to O?

marteneym & baby lust ~ Thanks for feeling my pain on the 1 year anniversary!
baby lust ~ The S/A still has to be scheduled, and I'll probably schedule it as soon as possible after I O that cycle (depending on where I am in my cycle, I suppose). And yes, we ARE rabbits! :D
QOTD ~ I go back and forth with what I want. I love girl clothes and want to dress up a girl, but DH wants a boy. Honestly, I don't really care! At long as I get a baby!

CONGRATULATIONS, SHANNON!!! YAY!!!! That's DEFINITELY a line,no doubt about it :D
Another BFNeutral. I told y'all'd be laughing at me:). I'm just gonna keep on testin', damnit! DH & I can't stand WalMart, and DH is particularly militant about it. On Mon I told him I had something to tell him, and please not to be mad at me. He got all nervous, and then I told him that Wal-Mart's test is rated as one of the highest so I had to go in. He just groaned, and I said, at least they're cheap, too!
Still big nipples but they're not sore, and still Mont's glands, but I don't know if that's normal for me during the LP. I'm also seeing veins popping out on my BB's but again, that could be a normal LP-thing for me. No cramps or nausea yesterday, but I did feel weird. I was exhausted, yet felt like I needed to be active. I also haven't had sore BB's which I usually do after O, just my nipples were sore for a few days. *sigh* After charting for so long, it had to be this cycle for screwy temps.
UTChick, I stare at mine forever, too. But it isn't totally worthless. Sometimes something pops into your head that you hadn't thought of before. But your DH's comments are hillarious! :D
mayham, girl, an 18-day long LP is outside the norm!! If yours was 15 days last month than it should be about the same every month. Just test!!!
Bellefoir, I'm sorry the witch showed up. That sucks. :(
katmg, I agree, I don't think you've O'd yet.
hbeshore, I'm just about as obsessed as you are! I haven't downloaded Ovusoft - yet - but I have posted in the ff circles for the first time :)
Ryan, it looks pretty clear to me that you O'd on CD28. I think you're OK ;)

Shannon - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is definitely a line! Your 6 hour round trip drive was very productive!
flygirl - i know, it keeps creeping in my mind that i want to test earlier. but i won't be able to stand it if I test and get AF immediately after, which has happened a couple times... grrr! we'll see how my temps go, they're staying high so far.

I held my pee for as long as I can, which was only 3 hours, and this was the result on FRER:
http://images.snapfish.com/34444%3A2723232%7Ffp63%3Dot%3E2327%3D328%3D9%3B9%3 DXROQDF%3E232396663%3B4%3C%3Bot1lsi
I *think* there is a very faint line there but, again, I'm scared to rush into any announcements. I will test tomorrow morning and hopefully have a more clear result.
Thank you again all for the congratulations. I hope this BFP is sticky!

HI ladies :) Although not a part of this thread, I was an old threadmistress for this thread on WC, and just had to come and spread my good news! It's nice to see familiar faces!
