I am frantically searching for a dress to wear to my graduation. Now it may seem like it doesn't matter since I'll have the gown on, but after the ceremony I'm having a party at my house. Here are a couple of options I'm considering. Let me know what you think!

In black, not cream

If you think all of these are awful, then maybe you could suggest something else? I want to spend less than $150 on it, it needs to be around knee-length, and I want to be able to wear dark shoes with it.
I voted for #3. I think that #1 looks sort of informal (probably the jersey knit that I'm not digging). #2 has more pattern than most people can pull off and it seems sort of like something you'd wear to a theme party (like a luau or something). I think that #4 is gorgeous, BUT it doesn't seem like a good dress for summer; it feels more fall like to me. #3 is very pretty. I like the cut and the material.

My favorite is #1, but I don't think dark shoes would look good with it. Given that, I'd probably go for #3 as well. The second one is darling but more informal (I'd wear it with flat sandals as a weekend or vacation dress), and #4 seems TOO formal.

I like 2 and 4. They are both really nice dresses.
i voted for #2. the people at my school hardly dressed up at all for gradutation, so that seems like it would fit the occassion the best. also, graduations are usually during the day, so i find them less formal in that respect too. in addition, some graduations are outside in the hot sun, so black would just make you hotter. i would have voted for #3 in the cream, but since you want black that's why i didn't vote for it. i think #4 is a very pretty dress, but i think it's too formal.
btw, what are you graduating from? congrats!!

I voted for #1. I love the color and I think it screams confidence. Perfect for a new grad. It also looks comfy and fun to wear.

I chose one, but before I read dark shoes. I guess you could get dark shoes, or you could get some cute metallic ones for cheap at someplace like target.

Oh, i didn't read about the darks shoes either. I chose 1, but I think it world look great with strappy sandals. I agree with KK812:
or you could get some cute metallic ones for cheap at someplace like target.

I like dress #2! Where is it from if you don't mind me asking?

I love dress 2. I think that the necklines on 1 and 4 may be too low for a graduation, and I like the one shown in cream but it looks like linen and linen always looks so wrinkly...

They are all from newport news. I kind of wanted to buy from there since I have a skirt to return. I'll just exchange and pay a bit extra for one of the dresses.

I thought the same thing as Reenie about the necklines on 1 and 4. Sexy isn't exactly what I picture for graduation attire.

I voted for number 1 but I changed my mind, I like 3. It's more Graduation type. I think that'll look really pretty! :) Congratulations by the way!

I love dress 1. I think it would be much more versatile for future use than the others.

Thanks, everyone for all the responses! I think I'm going to go with dress 1. For those who are concerned about the neckline, I had been thinking that I would wear a cami underneath it b/c I'm rather small-chested and might show off more than I intended! :o I also appreciate those who suggested metallic sandals. I think I may make a trip to target or payless to find some I like. Thanks all you fashionistas! I knew I could count on you! :)
