I am very fair and want something cute to wear out and about - and definitely on vacation. Any suggestions?

I need one too...but I always find ones that apear very "matronly." I am too young to adopt the same fashions as my grandmother! I am also petite and most seem entirely too big for my head/face. I look like I am playing dress up. :)

This is mine

I've had it for about two years and I *love* it. I wear it all the time. I wear it with more dressy summer outfits and I also wear it at the beach and on vacation. It's very sturdy and was kinda expensive (for a hat)...I think I paid around $50-60 for it, but its gotten a lot of use.

Glamour magazine has some cute ones in their May issue.
I love hats. This is a simple one from J Crew.

I just bought this one from Gap:

I bought it specifically for my vacation next month - it has a bit of stretch and will smash down well in my suitcase, plus it was only $25.

I have 2 of those ribbon crushers that were on oprah's favorite things list about 4 years ago. San Diego Hat Company is the brand, they pack well and have an adjustable head band that fits my smallish head very well.

I have a hat similar to the one Myra posted. Mine is from Gap and can have the brim folded up or laying down. I love it.
