Ok girls....I am going to shop Sephora online today and I am very curious about Philosophy products. I have already searched the forum and have read a lot of good things about their Purity face wash but I have also seen that a lot of people use Cetaphil! Help me decided!

I have oily skin with acne.

Also, anything I should absolutely get from the Philosophy line that my help with my skin???

I used Cetaphil for years b/c it was recommended by dermatologists and was very easy on my sensitive skin. I switched to Purity last year and I really like it. I actually think it does a much better job of cleaning (getting my make up off) than Cetaphil. I could always still see make-up residue on my face after washing w/ Cetaphil, not w/ Purity though. Purity has also been kind to my sensitive skin. HTH!

I'm one of those wierdos who broke out like crazy with Cetaphil. Same for my DH. There's a Cetaphil thread somewhere around here where other people commented the same thing about breaking out with it.

I use the drugstore brand of Proactiv and it works really well. I don't follow the directions exactly, just use it how it suits me. I can see a difference almost immediately.

I absolutly adore the purity cleanser. I bought the little 10 dollar travel size, and after using it everyday for almost 5 months, I've only used about half. I like it because it feels good, smells good, and when I read the ingredients label, I can recognize a lot of natural oils and extracts that I know are good for my skin. It really is a relaxing way to cleanse your face at the end of the day.

I LOVE the purity. Love it. Love the smell, love the clean feeling. Love it.

Ditto! When I used Cetaphil, I had to wash twice in order to get my make-up off. Purity does it all in one shot.

Ok, Purity seems to be winning so far. Another question...I have been reading that a lot of you use baking soda and some even mix it in with Cetaphil. I want to try it, but maybe use it with Purity instead. Has anyone tried this??

Oh and if you can recommend any other Philosopy products I would be delighted!

I use baking soda too, but I don't mix it in with purity. Instead, I wash with purity first, rinse, then use baking soda.

I love their microdelivery peel!

I love their microdelivery peel! Me too! Their Vitamin C peel is the best (and it smells good)! My skin looked so "glowy" after using it.

I love their Baby Grace perfume and lotion. Hope In A Jar didn't do a thing for me, and DH hated the way it smelled.

I don't really care for the smell of Purity, and it didn't really do anything for me either. I think it might have dried my skin out a little.

I bought a gift set at Sephora for like $25. It had four samples of the peel, a good size Hope In A Jar, a really good size bottle of Purity, and something else (I think). That would be a great way to try some of their most popular products!

Here's a thread on Philosophy Products (http://www.constantchatter.com/showthread.php?t=12008&highlight=philosophy).

Oh, and I forgot to say that I'm back to using Cetaphil, even though I don't love it and it doesn't seem to get all the makeup off.

This was my experience as well. I really enjoy using the Purity cleanser and am a big fan! It does a good job of cleansing the oil and makeup without irritating your skin.
