My husband recently got a raise and was offered an extra little gift of our choice. We decided we need a backyard grill. The company will pay up to $400, so we don't mind covering a little more, but we don't need anything fancy, and it's just the two of us so it's not like we need something huge either. I'm thinking on the smaller to mid size range but decent quality, and gas too.
I've heard decent things about Weber Stephens so that is an option but I am curious about Ducane and Jenn Air (supposedly consumer reports likes them). So my question is what kind of grill do you have and what do you like (or don't like) about it. TIA! :D

We have a Weber Q (http://www.weber.com/q/default.aspx). It’s not huge, but it will cook enough food for a decent sized dinner party. The stand folds up and you can hook it up to a mini propane tank and take it on picnics or trips, which is handy. I hate those nasty charcoal grills at parks. The quality is great. It lights immediately, cooks really evenly, and has a great range of low to high heat.

My parents just got us this grill about 3 weeks ago from Home Depot for $199. It works awesome for our family of 4 and we had a party this weekend and managed to cook burgers and hot dogs for 15+ people with no problem.

Here are the specs:
CHARBROIL® 45,000 BTU PERFORMANCE SERIES™ GAS GRILL WITH SIDE BURNER
Exclusive patented PrecisionHeat™ cooking system. 675 sq. in. total cooking surface includes 195 sq. in. warming rack.

We absolutely love it and we have been grilling a couple nights a week since we got it.
