We're leaving soon for a week-long trip to Quebec City. We'll be driving up, stopping overnight to see my brother in VT on the way up and the way back to cut our driving in half. It's our first big road-trip with the bambino, but I'm relying heavily on a consistent long afternoon naps and that fantastic portable DVD player to get us through 5+ hours in the car each day. :)

My trouble is figuring out what we'll do once we're there. We're going to QC because our good friend will be there for a conference, it wouldn't have been my first choice for a vacation. I know it's a beautiful, romantic, historic city, but I'm concerned there won't be enough to do with an 18-month-old.

Aside from the zoo and the aquarium, does anyone have any recommendations for family-friendly fun in Quebec? Thanks in advance! :)

I would suggest the Plains of Abraham - there's a museum there with a pretty cool history lesson video - I know your baby is too young to understand but maybe it will keep her occupied? Also you can always let the kiddo run around on the Plains. And you could probably make a boat watching game out of it while you can see the river so well.

Also, there's some kind of bee museum just outside of the city that might be interesting. I know it's listed in fodor's.

Sorry I can't be of more help; I went to Quebec City last Dec. on my honeymoon.

Here are some websites that might help:
