Odd dog toe nail question

My dog took an accidental leap off the front steps (4ft fall thanks to FMIL) over the weekend and lucky only lost a toe nail. Will it come back?

It will come back. It will be very tender for a week or more. Our dog lost one in a fight with another dog. It took a few weeks to come back.

It should grow back fine, just make sure to keep it clean so the nail bed doesn't become infected. If it looks misshapen or unusual, see your vet.

It should come back. My dog lost one, I'm not sure how but it grew back in about 2 weeks. I poured a little hydrogen peroxide over it just to be safe but it didn't look like it was infected. Just keep an eye out for swelling or drainage.

Thanks all! I've been doing the peroxide route which he doesnt seem to mind. He just looks a bit odd without a nail.:rolleyes:
