Just wondering how much sleep your kiddos are getting each night and how many/how long for naps. My DD was going to bed at around 6 for the longest time, but now it's been closer to 7. She's been going 7p-6a for the past few weeks. She still takes 2 naps a day, 1- 1 1/2 hours each. I'd love for her to move to one (longer) nap a day sometime soon, it would make going out so much easier!

My DD sleeps pretty much the same as yours.

She sleeps from 8:00pm - 7:00am (7:30 if we're lucky) at night.
For naps, she still naps twice a day as well. Anywhere from 1 hour to 2 1/2 hours each.

DD is 17 months and currently sleeps 11-12 hours/night (about 7:30pm-6:30am) and takes one nap that ranges from 2-3.5 hours during the day (today it was 4 hours!).
She droped the 2nd nap around 14 months- before that she took 2 naps that were each about 1.5 hours, just like your DD.

The books all seem to say babies at this age need 12-14 hours a day (naps and night combined).

DD goes to bed around 7pm and wakes up between 6:30 and 7:00. (Sometimes she wakes up earlier if she hears DH's alarm go off which makes me so mad!) She just recently moved to one nap-from 12-2:30 or 3.

DD is 13 months, and she sleeps 11 1/2-12 hours at night and 1 1/2-2 hours in the afternoon. Of course, she has been sleeping TERRIBLY the last month or so... my friends with older kids say this is developmental. It really sucks, though!

I would say that if she's still sleeping an hour and a half in the morning, she probably still needs 2 naps. DD's morning nap had dwindled down to 15 minutes and was pushing her afternoon nap way too late(and that was only at 9 months!), and that's when we decided to drop it.

DD is almost 11 months old -- at night she sleeps from 7pm-6:30am
her napping is all over the place though.. every day is different.
she'll usually take at least 1 45min-1hr nap...

Morgann sleeps from 8-8 or 8-7 and then takes a mid-day nap for 1-2.5 hours. 2 hours = much more pleasant girl. I wish I could figure out how to get her to do at least 2 hours for naps because she wont take another one and is a crankpot in the afternoon.

DS will be 1 in two weeks. He sleeps about 11 hours at night and then takes at least 1 nap for 1-2 hours. Sometimes he'll take another in the afternoon for the same amount of time. I wish he'd last longer in the morning before his first nap because if he doesn't have one in the afternoon he's a crankypants when I get home from work.

DD is 15 months and began transitioning to one nap at about 13 months. But we're still stuck in the transition and it's been difficult. At night she sleeps 7:30 to 6:00 usually and then naps usually a 1/2 hour in the morning and a 1.5 hour nap in the afternoon. She seemed to be moving herself toward one nap a day so I tried for that for a while - and it IS much easier to get out on that schedule - but I think I've come to the realization now that until the transition is "complete" (if it ever is) we need to not go out as much and work on naps again. But night-time sleep is a dream.

Of course, she has been sleeping TERRIBLY the last month or so... my friends with older kids say this is developmental. It really sucks, though!

I think this is what we've been going through, too.

sometimes Maren will STTN. She goes to bed around 8, sometimes wakes around 3 or 4 and sleeps till about 7. She still, on good days, will take 2 naps about 2 hours long each. It would be easier to get out and about if she took one long nap, but I don't see that any time soon. I can really tell when she doesn't get her nap, she's REALLY sleepy and cranky.

DS is 15 months old, and consolodated his naps a couple of months ago. Now it's generally 7pm - 6am (or 7 if we're lucky), and one monster 4 or 5 hour nap (9:30 - 2 or so). I was worried about the nap consolodation, but it seems to have gone fine, and he's not overly grumpy by bedtime.

Yeah, that is one serious nap! lol

DD is 13 months and generally sleeps from 6p to 6a and she usually takes a 1 1/2 hour nap around 12:00. She's been transitioning to one nap a day for a few months now and I've noticed when she takes a morning nap that it really screws up the rest of the day, but what can you do if they're tired and need a nap??

Wow alisong, that is one awesome nap!!Yeah, he's a pretty kick-ass napper. ;) Would you hate me if I said it's actually kinda limiting because you're stuck at home for all that time?

With daylight savings, my son started sleeping pretty consistently from 7:30-6:30am with two naps, usually 9-10:30 and then 2ish-3:30ish. The past two days have been not so great, he was up at 5am today. He has his two eye teeth coming in and I just pray he goes back to sleeping till 6:30 eventually and that these past two weeks have not been a big tease.

He is 13.5 months, and I can tell still needs that morning nap. He's yawning up a storm come 9am.
