Any ideas for very small meals containing a little protein and healthy carb? I'm always hungry since I'm breastfeeding. I need something no-cook or microwave only. I can only think of:
String cheese with a piece of fruit
Nuts and fruit
Cottage cheese and fruit
Any other good ideas?

This is how I eat through the day at work b/c I don't really take time for a big lunch.
Yogurt and granola (I usually make my own, or use a whole grain cereal like Kashi)
Veggies and peanut butter
Fruit and peanut butter
Almonds or other nuts with fruit or veggies
High protein, high fiber cereal (Kashi GoLean Crunch is my fave) with skim milk
Salads (lots of spinach or lettuce and vegetables) with turkey, chicken, or ham on top
Whole wheat bread with peanut butter (can you tell I am a huge PB fan?) :)
Granola bars (Kashi again, they're high fiber and taste like real food) with yogurt
Leftovers like whole wheat spaghetti with vegetarian meatballs, chicken with brown rice, etc.
The possibilities are really endless. I recently switched to whole grains, primarily, and everything comes in whole grains--pasta, bread, rice, cereal.
Hope that helps somewhat! :)

They sell oatmeal in little cups you can pop in the microwave. Sometimes I put a spoonful of jam on top.
Also, Perdue makes pre-cooked skinless chicken pieces in different flavors (I think they are called "Perdue Chicken Selects") They are easy to open and pop on a salad (or even just munch out the bag if you're really tired ;) ) Or, you could make a turkey/cheese or whatever wrap in a flavored tortilla, then roll it up and slice it into bite-size pieces to keep on hand. Or, how about tunafish/mayo with a little curry powder mixed in? you could dip carrots or crackers in that. Maybe you could make a salad with cherry tomatoes and small mozzarella balls. Or how about little boxes of raisins. Or maybe boil a couple of eggs to keep on hand. I also like the cottage cheese that's called "Cottage Doubles" (or something like that) It has a separate compartment with pineapple that you can mix in or eat separately. Additionally, I like to peel bananas and throw them in the freezer. Sorry for the jumble of suggestions! :D
Good Luck with the Breastfeeding!
