OC Stylist Recommendation

hello! i posted this question in the los angeles group, but thought i'd give it a try here, as well ...

i wanted to know if anyone can recommend a hair stylist in orange county or even san diego? i know that this is a los angeles group ... but i read that some of you live in orange county. here's the thing ... i don't get my hair cut very often as its pretty long, but when i do get it cut i want someone that does a great job so that i'm able to go longer periods of time between cuts. i'm willing to pay up to $100 for a cut. it would be a plus if they're good with color, as well! thank so much!

Hi MaMa2D and welcome to the OC!

My hair stylist is fantastic! My husband and I have been going to her for almost five years. Her name is Nicole and she's currently working Wednesdays through Saturdays at Salon Gallery in Old Town Tustin -- (714) 505-9367 -- which is a great central OC location.

She's great with cut and color and her rates are incredibly reasonable. For me, a haircut is $45, a cut and color is $90, and a cut/color/highlights is $130. And if you have bangs (like I do), she'll trim them for free between cuts -- she'd rather do it than have you playing amateur hair stylist at home. :p

She also makes house calls on Tuesdays, so if you have kids and can't find the time to get to the salon, this is a great option.

Nicole is absolutely fabulous, but sometimes she's overbooked and has a tendency to run 10-15 minutes late. It's kind of like going to a doctor's appointment. ;)

If you'd like a second opinion, send a pm to ee_chick. She's the one who recommended Nicole to me. My hair is chin length and very, very fine and her hair is long, thick, and naturally curly and Nicole has worked miracles for both of us.
