Should be a stupid question, but I've never actually had ice cream cake! Can you put birthday candles in it? Something about flame and ice cream doesn't seem to mix unless you blow them out really fast, before the song is done. :)

You definitely can. And ice cream cake tends to be really cold and hard to cut when it comes right out of a freezer--you usually need to let it thaw for awhile. So the short time the candles are lit make surprisingly little impact and don't melt the cake.

Yep! My mom always makes ice cream cake as my birthday cake and we've done candles successfully many times (we skip those now, though, thankfully!!). I LOOOOOOOOOOVE ice cream cake!! :D

Yes, but don't do what I did and put those trick re-lighting candles on it. I did that to DH a few years ago and I'm sure I don't need to tell you what the outcome was.:o

I've broken candles trying to put them into an ice cream cake (the cake is so frozen.) But, no, they will not melt the cake at all.
