I was introduced to The Three Sisters Island Trilogy and have been addicted ever since! I am currently reading Time and Again and it's also really good. Are there any other Nora Roberts fans out there?? Whats your favorite books by her? anything that you dont particularly like?

If you like her trilogies, you might also like the Born in... Ice/Fire/Shame trilogy, about sisters in Ireland. I really liked that trilogy.

I still tend to like her romance novels more than her suspense-type/action novels; I haven't read any of those yet.

I like the Dream series (Finding the Dream, Holding the Dream, something else about a Dream...). They were the first Nora Roberts books I read.

I'm afraid I've read most/all of them, and they are pretty much the same book. I agree that I prefer the romances to the suspense/mysteries, but the latest trilogy (something about flowers?) is pretty bad.

Yeah, she tends to have a successful theme and to stick to it. But I like the way she writes - her dialogue is good and snappy and she writes men really well. So I still enjoy all of her books.

I liked the Chesapeake Bay series the very best. Next favorite was the Born In ... series for both the story and the characters - and her website says there's a 4th Born In book coming out in Nov 2006.

I also really liked Northern Lights, which wasn't part of a series, but is set in Alaska and I have fond memories of Alaska, so I love to read books set there.

I also very much like her books written as J.D. Robb. They're ever so slightly futuristic and the main character is a cop named Eve Dallas. But then I've always liked sci-fi.

I second the Concannon Sisters/Born In trilogy and I loved both the Three Sisters and the Irish trilogies. Interestingly, my least favorite was the Chesapeake Bay series for some reason.

I also love her older, more suspenseful stuff (not the JD Robb, I've not yet read any of that) like Hidden Riches, Honest Illusions and Private Scandals. I've also learned that when it comes to her trilogies, I can start on them until *right* before the third book is due out or the wait just kills me.

I guess im gonna have to read the Irish trilogies next~ :OD Thanks for the heads up on the latest trilogy, bookworm. :O)

I agree with youKarenS. I love how she writes. Very easy to read.

I really like the story I am reading now (Time and Again) but its got really bad editing. That really bothers me, because I dont want to have to correct a book that's already supposedly been edited. Oh well.. its good so I guess I'll keep going. I'll have to try some of her older stuff too.. I had no idea~

I've also learned that when it comes to her trilogies, I can start on them until *right* before the third book is due out or the wait just kills me.

That sounds like me! haha Me, My mom, and my friend were all sharing the same books for the first trilogy so I had to wait until one of them got done reading their book before I could read it~ it was horrible.. no more book sharing for me! :O)

I love Nora's books, but only the trilogies and her J.D. Robb books. The stand alone books, not really. Didn't like her flower trilogy, though. And I do buy the anthologies she does with other authors just because they have a Eve Dallas story in them :)

Loves me some Nora. I love the trilogies - even the latest that others didn't seem to enjoy - and the single novels like Montana Sky and Public Secrets (one of my faves).

It looks like Born in Death (coming out in November) is a JD Robb, not an addition to the "Born In" trilogy. Too bad, I was excited!!

I love Nora Roberts, especially the trilogies, the Key trilogy is great, in addtion to the others mentioned. I would stay away from her old stuff written for Sillhouette though. It is so cheesy. I would also reccommend The Villa, Carolina Moon and Three Fates.

I agree iwth Karen - I liked Northern Lights.

DId not like the Flowers trilogy. Did she even visit Memphis for background or just grab an outdated guide book and pick random phrases?

I haven't read a book of hers that I didn't like but I just LOVE the JD Robb books. I am not a huge sci-fi fan but I have read (and re-read) every single Eve Dallas book. I recommend them.

I'm a fan too, but haven't read anything lately. What I love about the trilogies is that I can always enjoy the characters longer. I always get so hooked by the characters that I never want the books to end.

I too liked the three sisters, the key trilogies. I also liked The Villa and Carolina Moon.

I have that same problem!!

That's why I like the trilogies as well - same thing with the Anne Rice stuff and the North & South series - although both of those are a tad more intense than Nora! ;)

My favorite Nora Roberts novel is Midnight Bayou. It's a romance/mystery/ghost story set in the New Orleans area.

I didn't care for the flowers trilogy either. I didn't even finish the last book, I just read the end because it was so drawn out. I hope that can rebound with a better trilogy set.

I know this isn't Nora Roberts, but you ladies might like it too. I really liked the Donovan series (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0380789876/qid=1145385107/sr=2-2/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_2/002-2148479-7476811?s=books&v=glance&n=283155) by Elizabeth Lowell. I haven't read it in years, but it had the same feel as a Nora Roberts book - romance, mystery, etc.

Off to buy the Irish trilogy off Amazon used books. . .

I love the Irish Trilogy (Jewels of the Sun, Tears of the Moon (the BEST book) and Heart of the Sea).

Heart of the Sea was the first Nora book that I read, and I've been hooked ever sense.
