I am not too sure if there is a thread of this sort so i thought y not start one. DH is getting me a LV bag for my birthday later this month & I am super duper confused.

My Favorite is the one EuropeBride mentioned! (Speedy 30) DH got it for me for Xmas 2004 and I LOVE IT! I couldnt imagine carrying around another bag~ I've seen the speedy 25 and its nice but a little too small for me.

Ooh I also love the Cabas Piano (The one posted above). I'd probably prefer that one over my speedy even. So I'll change my mind and say the latter.. it's a little larger than the Cabas Piano but I carry a lot of stuff with me. Plus I'll use it as my future diaper bag. :D

My fave LV is the one I have.... a vintage large drawstring bucket. I found it in a consignment store in Baltimore with it's original tissue inside.......for $65!!!!!!! I have beaten it to heck and beyond over the years and it just love it. Sometimes a girl really does get lucky:-)

One of my all time favorite is this epi leather tote in RED (though the picture below is shown in blue). I bought it for my mom after a huge bonus and I've been secretly hoping that she'd lend it to me some day. Too bad she's living in a different country right now... :P

This seems to be the place to ask....how do you know if an LV is real or fake??

I was going through some boxes in my basement recently and found three bags from when I was in high school --- ohhhh from about 18 years ago --- shhhh don't tell anyone I'm that old ; )...anyway, one I know for sure is real because I remember getting for Christmas from my parents but the other two, one a Speedy 25 style and the other a duffle I'm not too sure about because I don't remember when/where I got them.

The Speedy 25 is the one I'm really questioning because it seems as though the canvas it wrapped around the bag to where the LVs are facing right-side up on one side and upside down on the other. The leather looks like my real one and it's stamped with the Louis Vuitton Made in France on the side tags but I don't see a number on the inside of any kind either. Any ideas??

the pattern on the bag is authentic.. the only place that I have a number on my 30 is on the padlock. It seems as though, judging by the description above, your 25 is a real LV~

Thanks, Astara! I wasn't sure if the real bags would have an upside down LV, so thank you very much for your input! I appreciate it! My Noe drawstring which IS real doesn't have the upside down LV on one side but it also has a leather base unlike the speedy.

hehe its just go9rgeous...ive been so picky...i couldnt decide speedy 30 or this one...finally im going with this one simply coz of the straps....and its a unique shape :)
