Help! how to use..

I need help. I bought these two beautiful hair clamps for my hair but I have no idea how to use them. My hair falls out. Its sort of long. They are the long alligator looking kind.

I think you're supposed to twist it up like you would to put it into a claw and then use the clip to clip the ends of your hair up to your head. At least that's the way I wore it back when my hair was shorter and could fit into one of those things. My hair tends to eat hair clips--it's just too thick. I have broken quite a few bristles off of brushes! ;)
