Anyone see it yesterday/today? We went to see Bewitched last night and the line was around the theatre for people who were waiting for tickets for The Fantastic Four. It was sold out, which really suprised me.

I'm looking forward to seeing it, as this was one of the only comic books I read when I was little (my brother collected a few series). I don't know if my husband is looking forward to it or not. I couldn't tell last night when he said "what's so great about the fantastic four?" when all the people were in line.

Eerie, we both were posting about the same thing at the same time. I'll PM Katy to see if she'll combine them!

Oooh! maybe I can get DH to see it next weekend! Is Jessica Alba good in it? I have always liked Michael Chiklas as well.

Ok I liked the movie, however (I've never read the comic) what would keep others from jumping into the (conversion chamber) and making themselves super powers?

DH wants to see it so we might try to catch a late matinee today. But it might be too crazy. :p Should we wait a week or two?

I have to say, I REALLY enjoyed this!! My husband wasn't too keen on going to see it (he said that it was only made because of nostalgia-mongers like me), but he said that he thought it "was pretty good". I even teared up in a couple scenes, which my husband refers to as the tell-all for whether a movie is good or not.

I LOVED Michael Chiklis. He was really fantastic (hee). It was during his scenes that I actually teared up. I think the casting was really great, because the focus on the characters wasn't marred by "star power". I also really liked Julian McMahon who I've loved since his days on Another World and Profiler. He can really play a good bad guy!!

I liked the story, I liked the characters, I liked how it played out. Two thumbs up from me!! Matinee to save money, but don't miss it because of that, it's worth the extra $2!!

Oceaneast - I'll check with my brother (who collected the comic books when we were kids, probably still does), but I don't remember them having a "conversion chamber" in the comic books. Of course, I haven't read one in about 25 years. I would imagine that they probably destroyed the chamber after it's final use in the movie (don't want to spoil it for anyone).

We saw it yesterday. Julian McMahon, was a scene stealer(IMO) But then again I think he is gorgeous so I might be biased. :p
