I hope we get a bunch of BFPS too!

As for me...I don't think that I will be one. I didn't buy any tests because I had some brown spotting. I guess I am not totally out, but I figure Af will probably be showing up later today. :( I am dissapointed but feel okay about it right now. I was more disappointed about it yesterday morning when I first saw if but it went away. Then when I woke up today it was back, but I told myself to be ready for it because it probably would be.

I hope that everyone else has a different outcome!

Yay for the new thread! :cool:

I took my last BCP last night. We were out with four other couples to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was so fun and I laughed so hard. I thought briefly about saying we were TTC, but that thought quickly passed--we haven't really been specific with anyone about when we will TTC, and really we're just barely beginning. It was fun though to have such a great evening with our friends, all of whom have kids already, as I took my last pill right on time at 9 p.m. :) Crazy!

I found out in the last week that two of my friends are ~12 weeks PG, so I hope I will join them in the next few months.

Good luck to all!

A BFN for me this morning. There is a chance I didn't O when I thought I did so I'm not out yet for sure but I'm just going to sit back and wait for AF to arrive, although I've had no symptoms of her. If I don't see anything by next weekend I'll test again.

Yay for the new thread!! It feels like a fresh start for all of us. I realized that we have been ttc for an entire season ~ I know, not really that long, but it kind of feels weird. Especially since it went by so fast! I'm surprisingly more relaxed about things this month, so atleast thats a good thing.

Good Luck to us all in April!!

I hope that April brings us all lots of BFP's! :D

I am at CD2 today. AF got me yesterday. I expected it, so I am not disappointed, just glad that the new cycle started and hopefully it will be the lucky one for us!

04-02-2006, 09:53 PM
I hope that you're surprised this month, looty. Fingers crossed! :)

j*est ~ I hope you can join your friends soon.

Here's hoping you didn't O when you thought you did, miaclear!

I'm glad you're feeling more relaxed this month, MrsK. :)

Sorry about AF, Zhanna. I'm glad that you're optimistic about the coming cycle.

I'm feeling really relaxed so far this month, but then again I'm only on CD10. :p I'm worried that I'm actually feeling too relaxed though. It's a weird feeling since I'm so used to being obsessed about everything. We'l have to wait and see how long it lasts.

YEAH for April.

I had some light spotting over the weekend (5DPO) so, I'm not sure if I'm out yet or not. I have been very cranky for the last two days which most likely indicates AF is on her way. I'm looking forward to ending this cycle.

Maybe April showers will bring May BFPs!

Chris~n~Jen
04-03-2006, 11:34 AM
fms,if you have light spotting at only 5DPO, couldn't that be implantation spotting?

Also hoping that April showers us with BFP's. :)

Just as I expected I am on CD 1 too.

Hopefully April will bring showers of BFPs!:D

looty and Zhanna, sorry this is not your month.

miaclear, hopefully you O'd later than you thought and you'll get some good news!

fms, chris-n-jen is right, maybe that was implantation spotting....seems early for AF??

j*east, good luck this month! I know how exciting it is to take the last pill. :)

jnshanna and MrsKinnison, I have my fingers crossed for you this month!

As for me, I'm on CD35. I hope every cycle is not this long....this waiting thing is getting old. Of course, I have a business trip later this week, so I'm sure that's when AF will hit full force. :rolleyes:

Nice new thread! Thank you to our lovely threadmistresses, you both rock!

For me, I bought 2 test today... I'm planning to hold off until Wednesday morning. SUPER sore nipples, a bit of nausea, and I am peeing ALL THE TIME. It's ridiculous! But I like it! I'm hoping we'll see our first april BFPs this week.

Yah, Twylla! I am so glad you are not out yet and you are having super symptoms!!!! I feel like this is it for you! *fingers crossed*!!! Just checking in at CD 7 I think. I am trying really hard to relax too, and so far so good. DH will be doing his SA some time this week...he is a little weirded out by it, but is totally willing. He said last night that he had a bad feeling that something was wrong with him. I told him that I almost hope there is something that can be easily fixed, just so we have a reason for why it's taken this long!

Sadie

Tywlla...I hope that your BFP is just around the corner. It's still really early. (This is coming from someone who spent most of yesterday googling symptoms and TTW. BTW, there's a website called twoweekwait.com that women list their symptoms on. It sounds like you are on the right track.)

For everyone who said that I might have had implantation spotting...yes, it does sounds like it. It lasted less than a day and the color was light brown/light pink. I have had cramps eveyday since then. It really feels like I have a bad case of PMS but from what I've read, figuring out if you are preggo or not is so confusing b/c a lot of the symptoms miminc PMS. Today is 8DPO. My CM was sort of creamy this morning.

My parents are coming into town on Sunday and we're not planning on telling anyone for a while if I am PG. I am going to have to smuggle tests to work and do it there. If only people know the torture we put ourselves through in the confines of public restrooms...

looty

Good luck Twylla!

Also I would like to say that any thanks should go to Shanna, because I really didn't help get this thread together or going at all. I try to help her make sure that things get updated quickly and do stuff when she is unavailable but for the most part it's all her.

She is doing and awesome job!

Twylla, hopping this is it for you!
We sure did not have many BFPs last month, so I am hopping that April is a month for all of us! It is funny, I looked at the Chinese baby sex prediction calendar and March/April is the month for me to have a boy, after that most of the year is a girl, except for the last 2 months. I really want a boy, so we better get working on it ;)
fms, I cannot read about symptoms any more, because as soon as I read about a symptom, I have it right the way ;) hahaha

miaclear
04-04-2006, 04:27 PM
Veeka, the small vitamins I take are called OneSource. Not sure if you found someone else with a small prenatal. They are available at WalMart and they were only like $5 for 120 (60 doses)

I'm bound for a baby girl this WHOLE year (according to the chinese calendar), well unless it takes till Nov and Dec. Well....just checking another I have mostly boys. How can there be more than one out there?

MrsKinnison
04-04-2006, 04:32 PM
There's 2 Gender Charts?? I have this one http://parenting.ivillage.com/ttc/ttcsigns/0,,j736,00.html What is another one?? This one says this month I'd have a boy, then next 2 months girl....

Thanks for the support ladies...

Another BFN this morning with FMU. Today is CD51 and I'm starting to get seriosuly cranky! I feel like it's totally unfair that I have to wait so long for a new cycle, or to even know if I O or not. I'm just getting very frustrated. Grrr... Sorry about the crankiness...

I'm off to see the doctor on Friday, which will be CD54. Seriously! :mad:

VeekaSF
04-04-2006, 04:43 PM
MrsK, I was looking at the same calendar too.

Miaclear, I searched everywhere for OneSource and I cannot find it anywhere, even to order it online, even wallmart.com does not have it on their site! Makes me wonder if they exist ;) I stopped taking my other vitamins, they just make me sick.

You guys all sound like experts :D Can a non-saavy TTC lady join? tee-hee. DH & I just started trying a few weeks ago - so I've left the Ladies in Waiting and made my way over here. Our plan is no plan for right now (i.e., I'm not charting), but I'm pretty sure last week I was ovulating and we were like rabbits! :D (sorry for the TMI). I know this could be a long process, so I'm definately not getting my hopes up, but we'll see.......

Veeka.... I did a quick search and didn't see them online but I promise the do exist :D Are you near a walmart that you could drive to?

Twylla

Welcome Dansgirl!!! Don't worry about TMI... nothing is TMI here!

miaclear Thanks, I'll stay cranky then! lol. They've been all sorts of lengths, only two have been less than 50 days, one was 29 and another 11! So they're totally screwy!. but thanks for teh encouragement!

MrsKinnison
04-04-2006, 05:10 PM
Oooh, that one says GIRL :D

Twylla You have every right to be cranky and frustrated!! Are you sure that you are Oing? If I remember correctly, you're not charting right?

Twylla
04-04-2006, 05:16 PM
Are you sure that you are Oing? If I remember correctly, you're not charting right?

Nope, and believe me, that's the worst of it! I'm starting to chart again, temping, and I usually check my CM anyway. But I still couldn't say I've for sure O'd... so then each cycle almost feels "pointless" too, if that makes sense! Tahnks though, this thread helps!

MrsKinnison
04-04-2006, 05:18 PM
Twylla I think charting will tell you a lot about what is going on, and hopefully let you know what to do to get you pg soon!!!!

Thanks for the kind words, Twylla and you too Alison! I did create the new thread but looty is awesome helping me keep up with things here, especially when I have to go out of town. Thanks Alison! :D

Sorry about the BFN's, Twylla! I really hope it's just too early. Your body needs to learn to cooperate!

I hope your DH's SA goes okay, Jess. I'm not sure how mine would take it so I haven't brought the subject up yet. I'm afraid he would be weirded out about it. In another couple of months though, I'll have to say something. So not a convo I'm looking forward to. :p

Sorry about AF, Sadie but at least it will hopefully be almost gone in time for your trip!

Welcome DansGirl! I hope you get lucky on your first cycle.

I hope you O'd, pacificbliss and that the CM non-change is just a fluke or something.

I once bought some stuff from Creative Memories (scrapbooking home shows) and every once in awhile I'll get an email from the lady with Creative Memories News....except she titles them CM News. I just got one and had a chuckle:o

Veeka - OneSource prenatals really do exist. I recommend them to everyone. They are usually found on the 2nd or 3rd shelf from the bottom in the vitamin section of Walmart (only available there, can't get them on-line)

If the vitamins make you nauseaus, try taking them at night. Lots of doctors recommend at night so the iron can absorb overnight into your system.

Hi to all of you ladies, here's some BABY DUST!!!!!!!

I'm 9DPO and well, I tested this morning, twice. I used a CVS early kit and a dollar tree test and both had positive lines right away. I bought a CBE test on my way into work. I will do that one later today.

Girls, I think I'm pregnant. *minorly freaking out here*

fms' post made me think of a question for y'all (and if I may be so bold, I'll post it as a QOTD):

Have you ever taken a preganancy test and gotten a BFP when it turned out you were not pregnant? Or ever taken a pregnancy test, gotten a BFN, but actually were pregnatn? If so, explain. thanks!

Sadie
04-05-2006, 08:26 AM
Woooohooooo, fms! From what I hear, a line is a line is a line. Congrats!

Welcome DansGirl!

QOTD - Nope, never gotten a BFN when I was PG, or vice versa.

Congratulations fms! Sounds like you're PG! I hope this is a start of our April BFP showers in here! :D

Welcome DansGirl! I hope that your stay here is short and sweet!

Twylla, so sorry about the BFN's and about the long, irregular cycles... :( I feel your frustration - my cycles used to be 35 days, like clockwork, for years. But, ever since we started TTC, they've been fluctuating between 34 and 41 days... This last one was 40 days. I wonder whether there's a correlation between actively TTC and wacky cycles???

QOTD: I never got a false positive, but there was a time when I was PG (which ended up in a m/c), when I didn't get a BFP until AF was about 2 weeks late. The day I finally got a BFP, I also got a BFN that same morning.

Yay, fms!! :D It's true, a line is a line! And two of them is even better! ;) I say test digital so that you can see those pretty words!

ETA: I was so excited I forgot about the QOTD. Nope, I've never had a false positive or a positive at all! I'm so lusting after that second line! LOL It has yet to happen for me except on an OPK and let me tell you, that gets me pretty dang excited! :p

I forgot the QOTD too. I've never had a false reading either way.

I'm in the 2ww now and definately not as *carefree* as I was the beginning of my cycle. Not crazy yet, but definately a little more anxious :p

Congrats fms!

Well, maybe that will get April started right :D

QOTD I had a similar experience to zhannushka. I tested and got a BFN then I had a period that seemed normal. Two weeks later when I should have been O'ing I had some spotting. A nurse suggeted I test and I got a BFP. Then I went on to m/c at 8 weeks.

Miaclear and Ericka, I guess I have to get off my a$$ and drive to nearest walmart this weekend, it is about 20 miles away but it is in Oakland, which means I have to cross the Bay Bridge, and it is not pleasant ;) Thank you for the baby dust!

Veeka.....buy a bunch then ;) Good thing they're cheap.

I am on CD29 which is approaching my 30-32 normal range from before BCP. No signs of AF which is pretty odd for me, usually I get bad lower back aches about five or so days before. Planning on testing again this weekend if she doesn't show.

Thanks for all of the well wishes girls. It feels surreal. To show what a PG dummy I am, I didn't realize that 40 weeks is measured from the first day of your last period. I'm due two weeks before Christmas.

I wrote a really long reply earlier but then couldn't remember my password so, my message got deleted. I took a total of 4 tests today (all different manufacturers) and all were unmistakably positive. Something clicked with me today, besides being 04-05-06, my Grandma died two years this week. I cry every time I think about the coincidence.

Mia...I'm hoping for company on the test fest so, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Is it still cool to hang out here for a bit and cheer everyone else on? I need buddy or two to commiserate with.

QOTD I have only taken one test prior to this one b/c I forgot to take my pill for a week. So, I can't really answer. I hope that I can't answer either ;)

Oh. I almost forgot, the sore bbs didn't happen for me (yet.) I swore that AF was coming earlier in the week. Here's my little symptom diary:

3/29 CD 20 (2DPO) Sticky, lotion CM (runny nose, 1pm EWCM w/ red blood spot, yawning) Hot flash in pm, bed at 11:15pm
3/30 CD21 (3DPO) woke up at 5am, (slight backache that went away in the mid morning) C is harder, sore throat, very little wet CM,, nesting day (cleaned office), bed at 9:45pm *ate a burrito, had smelly pee

QOTD- I actually got an evap line on my second cycle. The worst was that it was in the time line and not gray. I didnt get my hopes up untill I tested again which was a bfn an af came.

Me~ well Im on cd9 already (feeels like that went fast!) I was pretty busy getting my health back in check. Tests this morn let us know that verything is back in check so were good to go with bding in a few days.

Well, we're pretty sure it was a CP, chemical pregnancy, but there was a BFP for me, and in the end I was not pg. Very annoying.

CD52 for me, thanks for all the sympathy ladies, it helps. I'm starting to get really upset, but i know there isn't much more I can do right now. at least not until I see the doctor again. So I'll keep smiling for now, lol. I hope these next few tests bring us more December babies!!!!

fms - again, congratulations! :)

I am at CD5, almost at the end of AF. Last week I received pre-seed, which I ordered online. So, I am "armed" and ready to start BD'ing! :p

We booked our vacation today - going to Mexico in the first week of June. Which made me think - should we be TTC for the next 2 months and possibly be PG on vacation? That means - no drinking, no partying, etc. On the other hand, this will be our 5th cycle TTC and I am so anxious to see that BFP... So, I decided that we'll still TTC, and if I get PG, then I'll just have to take it easy in Mexico...

Good luck to everyone BD'ing, testing and waiting to O!!!

My BFF just told me she is pregnant, I am so excited for her! She has been trying to get pregnant for 6 years now and everytime she has become pregnant (3 times) it has turned into a miscarriage. I hope this one sticks!! It would be so awesome to be pregnant with her and also our other good HS friend is also pregnant so it would be so much fun!

Oy, the bay bridge, Veeka? Not something I'd want to do if I could help it either. And I've only visited a few times! :p

I hope the non-symptoms is a good sign for you, miaclear!

Aw, that's special about your BFP happening on the same day as your grandma passed away, fms. {{{Hugs}}} I've always believed that when someone special leaves us, another comes into the world. It may be 2 years later but I think that's special. And of course you can hang around! We'll take any cheering we can get! :D Thanks for the list of symptoms. I love to read those.

I'm glad your health is good and you're ready for BDing, Squee.

Twylla, I hope you get some good news from the dr tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you! :D

Let us know how the pre-seed works, Zhanna. I've thought about trying it but I think DH might not be that into the idea. I totally agree with your thoughts on still TTC even though you have a trip coming up. I have the same conflicts because we have a lot planned this year. We'll be in Disneyland in May and in June I have to take 2 business trips. Then in October we're planning another trip for our anniversary. I'm most concerned with the October trip since it's so far out. But I figured, I'm not going to plan my life around TTC. We've been trying since July 05 and there's no telling how long it might take us so we're going for it. The worst that can happen is if we have to send someone else on our trip because I can't make it. Anyway, that was longer than I expected. LOL I'm happy you made that choice. That's all I really wanted to say. ;)

Congrats to your BFF, tinkerbelljenny! I really hope this one sticks!

Good luck, Chris~n~Jen!

So I'm on CD14 already! This first part really has flown by and I can only imagine it's because I'm just not thinking about TTC this month as much. I'm only noting CM when I notice a lot on the TP and I'm not temping. This morning I was surprised to see EW! I truly didn't realize that it was that time already! I looked at my previous charts and realized that I always get EW around this time. It just stuck up on me this month. Which is a great feeling! Our plan is just BD every other day if at all possible. It'll be interesting tonight because we're babysitting until 11pm. I guess we be doing some midnight BDing. ;)

miaclear
04-06-2006, 12:16 PM
Good Luck ChrisnJen!!! I figure I'll start temping on my third cycle if I don't get a BFP by then. It is hard to keep up with two groups. I lurk over there but post over here.

Goodluck JNShanna these next couple days!!!

CD30 and still no sign of AF. I really think I'm just having a long cycle since this is my first one off BCP but I'll see this weekend. I'm going to test Sat morning so that I can drink a lot Sat night. That margarita mix has been staring at me way to long. Depending on what happens I'll add the alcohol or not ;)

I'll start a new QOTD: Once you do get your BFP how much do you plan to share online? I used to put almost everything but a lastname and address on my WC journal but there was that story of that lady who was murdered and her baby stolen out of her womb by that psycho who met her online in a dog breeding chatroom. After that I am VERY wary of what I'm sharing....especially in a place like this where it's all babies all the time. I would SO love to share everything but just can't imagine I will. (sorry to bring up a sick story like that but I am just curious if it's crossed other's minds).

QOTD: I don't mind posting info about me and DH, such as first names, pictures, everything that goes on, etc. I will never post our last name or address. Not even the town I live in, but I will disclose the state - it's a large one... ;) The one thing I'm not sure I'll do is - post a pic of the u/s... QOTD - I would definitely talk about being pg on here, and I'm not shy about posting pictures either. I stop short of sharing my last name and address, though I have no problem saying which city I live in. I don't worry that someone will find me and try to hurt me or kill me. And if they copy my life, well that's just sad, because I have no life :p.

I'm out AF is torturing me today with nasty cramps... I'm sad about it too. I feel like there are so many moving on, kwim? And we've been TTC since last summer, and nothing. I'm just wallowing still. I promise to snap out of it soon. I'm not cancelling my appointment for tomorrow, maybe there's something he's willing to look at doing this cycle, maybe start provera in two weeks and see what happens from there...

Welcome Heather, nice to "see" you again!

Good luck with charting Chris~n~Jen! I hope you get that magic BFP soon.

To everyone else who's been putting up with grumpy me (especially since I've been terrible with my shout outs!), thanks you. It's good to have a place to turn to whine about AF coming... I don't really have anyone IRL to talk about it too, so thanks!

QOTD: Once you do get your BFP how much do you plan to share online? I would share but not too much. I have some good friends on here that know my address from X-mas card list. I am not really worried about anyone coming to find me, HA, I would be more worried about the person trying to locate my house, you might get eaten by a bear!

Welcome Heather! I'll be watching you on Monday! :)

Aw Twylla. I wish I could give you a hug. Here's a cyber one instead. {{{Hug}}} I completely understand the feeling of everyone moving on. I get so excited for each and every BFP we get here but it's also difficult at the same time. We've been TTC since July of last year and it's continuing to get more and more frustrating every month. But on top of that, you're dealing with very irregular cycles so you have every right to feel sad about that. So vent away, that's what we're here for. Whether you're having a happy day or a sad day. :) Let us know how your appointment went today, k?

LOL, I'd say you're a bit anxious, DansGirl. :p Hang in there. Try not to test until after the weekend at least. Easier said than done, I know.

Sorry about the cramps, miaclear. Did she show today? I hope not and it was just a trick. LOL

QOTD: I don't really have a problem sharing things about my life here. I'm pretty open to sharing and like to. I'd share where I am in my pregnancy, how my appointments have gone, what we plan to name the baby, etc. I just don't share my last name and am kind of undecided when it comes to photos. I just worry that this is a public site and anyone could look at those photos and do anything they want to them. It makes me a bit uneasy.

Seriously, every stinking month I miss the start of the new thread! And I was think, "geez, I wonder why I'm not getting notifications?":o

Anyways, Twylla, I'm really sorry about the long cycles and AF.
Do you feel fine otherwise? We figured out why my cycles were so long. My Dr. checked my Thyroid levels almost 3 months ago and they were too low, so he started me on 50mcg of Levothroxin (sp??). It was woked wonders! I feel better over all...more energy, more normal cycles, etc...

Welcome, Heather! Nice to see you here (finally:D )! I hope your stay is short and sweet:)

Congrats, fms!! Happy and healthy 9 months to you!!

Me, I am on CD23. Just hoping this is our month. Unfortunatly, we only BD twice:mad: But I can still hope, right??
Sunday is my 21st birthday:D :D I'm young, I know. I think we will celebrate by going out for Marqueritas!! My fave!!

Just found out yesturday that my pregnant co-worker is going to be induce on 4/19! We are excited! It's a little girl, Gracie. Another co-worker is going to be TTC#2 starting now. I know this sounds terrible and selfish, but I want to get pg first. Who knows. Anyways, good luck to those testing soon! I will test around 4/17 as long as AF doesn't show before then.

Welcome Stevesbabygirl!

Sorry to those who had or are about to have AF show! Good luck at the Dr Twylla, hopefully the appointment and a new cycle will be just what you need to get results this month!!

QOTD My last name is obvious, but also my profession is pretty public so my info is everywhere anyways. I have business cards, flyers, and ads all over the place, so a message board is probably the least of my worries as far as info goes. I'm just always careful to make sure someone always knows where my appointment is, who it is with, and if its with someone I don't know then 2 of us go.

Can I join in?

Me: BusyBee (28)
DH: (46)
Married: August 2002
DD: April 2005 (almost 1 yr old!)
Last BCP: 2 years ago
TTC since: April 2006

We have been preventing since DD was born, not on BCP, and just are now starting to TTC#2. Because I've been breastfeeding, I haven't had AF yet, even though she's almost weaned. So we're just going to see what happens. I plan to take an hpt on her birthday every month just to check.

Welcome BusyBee! I hope that you get AF soon so you can get started (or maybe you won't get AF at all)!:D

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you Miaclear! I hope that is a sign. I know I thought it was strange when all of a sudden we started getting Babies R Us advertisements. I think it was due to buying something online for a friend. I was hoping that was a sign but no such luck for me. I hope it is for you though!:D

Have a wonderful birthday Yolanda! 21 is such an exciting birthday. How would you know margarita are your favorite if you can't drink??;) :p

Everyone have a great weekend!

All afternoon I was set to go buy another PT after work but just this last hour the cramps and acheyness have started :( My CM has become very watery again too (to the point of wet panties). Cramps and acheyness I always get but wet panties before AF is new to me. I wish it would just come...or not.

Hi again ladies...again, just relaxing but forgot to tell yall that DH did the SA (WEIRD experience) and his count was 131 million and the nurse said everything looked normal...we've both checked out, so I guess we just keep trying.

Shanna I think you've been TTC the longest of any of us since you started in July. We started in August SWH, and obviously that got us no where, lol. But I guess sometimes what it takes is time. Thansk for understanding sooo much!

Yolanda Thyroid, hmm.... I still have to get my blood test done, i'll double check that it includes a test on my thyroid, you may have just saved my cycles, we'll see! Thansk for the info. And Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy a ncie maragrita on all of us SWH ladies, okay? Cheers!

BusyBee Welcome! And I hope you are an even Busier Bee very soon... how does a newborn and an almost two year old sounds? lol.

miaclear I hope you're wrong, but either way, sorry about all the uncertainty.

Jess Congrats on a great SA! 131 million sounds good, I hope those swimmer get where they need to go quickly!

My Appointment Well, we obviously didn't do the whole physical since AF is here. Plus, I was bad and drank juice, so I couldn't do the blood tests either (bad twy!). Everything is good so far other than my cycle. We're going to start Provera 5mg for 5 days, starting on CD21. That should bring on AF. I did use Provera once before to bring on AF, that ended a 168 day cycle which was murder, yuck! We'll do this for 3 cycles assuming I don't get pg, and this should hopefully bring on some regular cycles. My fingers are crossed, anyway!

Then after my appointment, to cheer myself up, I got me a new bra and some new shorts! lol. Nothing like a little retail therapy, right ladies??? ;)

Have a great weeeknd all!

AF is officially here. I'm cool with that, just glad I didn't have to sit in uncertainty for days on end. I'm trying for a Jan 17th baby now.

Sorry about AF Miaclear!! January 17th would make your baby an Aquarious and everyone knows that Aquarious' are the smartes, most charasmatic, and are incredibly good looking :D Obviously I am an Aquarious ~ LOL!!!

So, as soon as DH woke up this morning he asked (very excitedly) if I am pg yet. I told him that I don't know yet and he asked "why not, its been like 3 weeks already???" Actually, its only been 1 ~ he really does make me laugh. Ofcourse, for him it may really be 3 weeks cuz I swear he starts trying right from day one even though he knows how it works, he thinks you can never be too prepared. God I love that man!!!

So sorry Miaclear! A January baby sounds perfect!

Welcome busybee, I love your name!

MrsKinnison 3 people asked me yesterday if I was pregnant, very strange. I hope it means something!

Twylla retail therapy always works! :D I need to do more of it!

Jess Good to hear that everything came out normal! Good news!

Happy Birthday on Sunday Yolanda!

Me: I will be testing on thursday. We leave for Wyoming tomorrow for Dh's work and won't be back until late late Friday night so I will let you all know next week if it is good news or bad news. :D or :(

Have a great weekend ladies!!!!!

I'm on CD17 and no O yet, though I O'd on CD16 last cycle. I'm not worrying though, because I've had EWCM for the past 3 or 4 days.

Welcome busybee youll love this place.

Great to hear DHs SA was fine Jess, lets hope now youve both checked out your minds will let you relax and get preggo!

Sorry about af Miaclear, I was exactly like that last month. I was almost happy to see af:eek:

~~~~~~~~~
A January baby does sound perfect! Hopefully we get a great anniversary present for our first anniversary. According to my lmp I would be due on the fourth of jan and our anniversary is on the 7th! Im getting ready to O hopefully. Im charting this month but Im really bad at it so not sure if itll 100% work. If it doesnt happen thins month I think ill try an OPK.
Spotting sucks, just come on AF!!! Usually I have one day of spotting before AF shows but yesterday it was so light and I can tell it will be today as well. I just want to move on to my next cycle officially.
Speaking of which....can anyone tell me if you record spotting on FF will it start a new cycle for you?
Happy Birthday Yolanda!! :D
Welcome, BusyBee!
I'm glad your results at the dr were good, Jess. :)
Retail therapy is the best, Twylla!
Sorry about AF, miaclear. Or at least the spotting leading up to AF. :rolleyes: I hate that too! I hope you get your January baby.
Your DH sounds sweet, MrsK. :)
I hope you have some good news to share when you get back, tinkerbelljenny!
That would be neat if you had the baby on your wedding anniversary, Squee.
CD17 today for me and I'm getting ready to O. I had a cramp this morning on my left side so who knows. I had a little spotting this morning along with EWCM and I had the same spotting on Friday. We're trying to keep up with BDing but the schedule of every other day isn't really working out. I'm hoping we can keep up with it from now on though at least for the next week.
QOTD: Is it possible to have ovulation on CD 17 last month with 11 DPO and CD 12 this month with 16 DPO? Have any of you experienced this before? Or am I taking the misleading information on my CM ?
MrsKinnison
04-10-2006, 10:48 AM
Veeka, It is completely possible, however it is impossible to know exactly what day you O'd based on cm alone (and its also impossible to confirm O that way too). I suspect that you more likely O'd earlier than cd17 last month and possibly later than cd12 this month. My best *guesstimate* would be that you O'd between cd14-16 both months, but again it is impossible to know for sure. HTH!
jnshanna
04-10-2006, 01:46 PM
ITA with MrsK. There really is no way to confirm for sure what day you've O'd without temping (and sometimes that doesn't even work!) or if you want to get within a couple of day, OPK's (again sometimes that doesn't work either). Could they have possibly made it any more difficult for women to figure out when they O? Jeez! Normally, a woman's LP (days between O and AF) remain fairly consistent and should not change by more than a day or two each month.
miaclear
04-10-2006, 04:17 PM
OMG...3 days of spotting....get on with if AF already:mad: At least today is a heavy spotting, more like I'm used to. The last two days were so light I didn't even need a pantyliner or anything. I'm hoping AF will officially be here tomorrow so I can start cycle 2!
VeekaSF
04-10-2006, 04:46 PM
Mia, maybe there is a hope for you yet! I think you can be pregnant and have spotting, but I am not sure for how many day?
miaclear
04-10-2006, 05:23 PM
Veeka...I had thought about that the last two days when my spotting was super light but today it seems just like my normal entry into AF :( *as I'm typing this I had to run and check and damn if it isn't super light again!!! Although it changed from a pinkish color to a dark-brown red* So confusing and I'm sure it's just from coming off the pill that my body is doing things that I'm not used to. This is only my second AF off BCP.
DH even asked last night when AF was coming. Considering I was on a 28 day cycle for five years with him (with BCP) and he always knew when to expect it I'm was pretty surprised that it took him till CD34 to ask where it was. According to him we should be pregnant within the next two cycles (he seems to be optomistic about this).....I hope he's right.
Twylla
04-10-2006, 10:09 PM
miaclear It is quite likely your body adjusting after BCP. My cycles still aren't the way they were before BCP, so as annoying as it is, know that you're "normal" with this wierd AF. Hang in there, I hope they become normal again soon!
Just popping in, no time for other shout outs right now, sorry ladies. Nothing new here... I go for my provera prescription this week, I'm pretty sure I'll start taking it on April 26, hopefully I'll have AF a week after that, then get intoa cycle that will hopefully be regular! Nothing else exciting going on since AF is still here. Boo on her!
Thanks for the reassuarance Twylla. Last night about 8pm AF officially started, I know it was late but I'm starting yesterday as CD1 just cause I can. My cramps were SO bad last night but today seems like a good day. I'm glad to have started Cycle 2! I even got the VIP membership at FF for 90 days. Go figure you don't sign up for it right away and they offer you a deal. If this cycle is a bust I'm going to start temping next one.
Sorry about Af Miaclear. You hubby is too funny keeping track of your cycles. My Dh doesn't really ask until he thinks I am really late.
Good luck to LadyD088! I hope you get a BFP over AF! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. :D
Looks like we are on the same cycle day Sadie. I don't know if we will be cycle twins though because I tend to have a little longer cycles than 28 days. Here's hoping that both our cycles end with BFPs!
I don't have much to report. I am on CD 9 and just waiting on O. I probably have another week and a half to wait. I hate all this waiting!:p
Sadie
04-11-2006, 05:24 PM
Looty, my last cycle (1st one off bcp) was actually 34 days, so mine may be a little on the longer side too. I'm not really sure what to expect each time, b/c I don't know how long it will take my cycles to regulate.
I tried charting ever-so-briefly (about 3 days), but I am really bad about taking my temperature at the same time every day. I have a very flexible work schedule, so I don't wake up at exactly the same time every day. I'm thinking I may give a go again in a few months if we haven't gotten lucky by then.
I have an appointment set for this Thursday, the rest of my physical, and I'll also pick up my provera prescription then too. Yay for getting things going... but i have a feeling I'll be in this thread for a while. I went and browsed the Still At It thread, but it seems like so much more work to move to a different thread now that I know so many people here, so I'm staying. And you can't kick me out! I hope waiting to O goes quickly for you two, Sadie and Looty. :)
Ugh, DansGirl! Boy, do I know where you're coming from. It can be so frustrating!
Kick you out? Are you kidding, Twylla? I've checked that thread out too but it's hard to switch to another thread and it's a bit overwhelming too. I hope your appointment goes well.
CD19 here and dying to O already! I was so much calmer just a day or two ago but the longer I wait to O, the more restless I get. I decided to temp just for a few days to figure out when I've O'd but then I'm stopping for sure. (famous last words)
MrsKinnison
04-12-2006, 07:33 AM
Twylla, not only will we not kick you out, but we won't let you leave us till you get your BFP either!!!
Its definately hard for all of us that we didn't get pg on the first or second cycle (or longer), but its good that we are all here together. Honestly, I think we are much more the "norm" but if you ever go other places (i.e. nest) it seems like EVERYONE got pg on the very first try and it really makes you feel bad that it is taking longer. Its hard to remember that most people are just like us :D and that with everything being perfect it can still take a while.
That said, this week seems to be dragging by. I don't have any FPS really, except I was pretty emotional yesterday, been really hungry, and had a hard time getting up this morning. Ofcouse, being hungry and loving sleep isn't really abnormal for me ANYTIME :D The emotional thing is really out of character for me & seems a little early for PMS, but it absolutely could be because of the impending full moon!
I feel like I've missed a bunch of stuff so I'm just going to do some general SO/s....
Newbies, Welcome!!!!
AF, Sorry :( She is such a witch!!!
Waiting to O ~ Have lots of fun :D
Hello, again, Thanks for the welcome everyone!
I bought a couple of HPTs yesterday, now I'm trying to talk myself out of taking one. I made a decision to wait till the weekend after DD's birthday - 11 days to go - I can hold out.
With DD, I had some bright implantation spotting, and I was sooo sure it was AF. So I'll probably have some sign this time... either one is good!
BTW, DD has been such an easy baby - I'm sure she's setting us up - she's sneaky like that :)
DansGirl
04-12-2006, 04:18 PM
I need you ladies to shout at me - I know I'm just one month into this TTC thing but I need y'all to scream at me "YOU'RE NOT PREGNANT, STOP TESTING, STOP SPENDING MONEY ON HPTs!!!!" I forgot to write down 1st day of period - but I'm pretty sure I'm CD30, but no period!!!! And each of my 200 (just kidding, but pretty close) HPTs have been negative! Where did AF go? Please just say, there's no way I'm pregant. I keep thinking there may be a chance b/c no AF, but then I get another BFN! :mad: I'm beginning to think my anxiousness is making AF hide, like she's scared or something.
Sorry for my rant ladies, I know its not what y'all want to hear. I downloaded the Fertility Friend Charting handbook so at least next cycle (whenever that starts :rolleyes: ), I'll have a clue. ugh.
...........................
On a lighter note:
BusyBee: wait to go with your goal of holding out to test, I'll look to you for inspiration when I have to wait next cycle. Plus, you might have a belated birthday present for DD (a BFP!!).
Twylla: you're not going anywhere. I haven't been in any TTC threads long, but I can already tell you're a dear friend in here!
jnshanna: here's some "O" vibes ~~~~~
miaclear: sorry about the AF, lets get her next time!
sorry if I missed anyone - but have fun!
miaclear
04-12-2006, 05:27 PM
Busybee and Dansgirl I bought two tests (well two for one) on my first cycle and used them both. I'm happy that I didn't buy more cause I know if I had I'll have used them. I think that will be my new rule, I get two and that's it...per cycle (unless I see something that makes me question a BFN or BFP).
Dansgirl...how long are your cycles usually? My first one off BCP was 34 days, slightly longer than what I remember was normal for me before BCP.
AF off of BCP is weird...not sure if I like her better or not. I love the shorter lighter periods but man the cramps that first day were enough to knock me over :(
Twylla....you gotta stay! I plan on charting next cycle if this one doesn't work but if I do I'll likely stay here. I like it here :D
Sorry to have been MIA... A lot has been going on in my life, non-TTC-related... My grandfather who is 87 is in the hospital with severe pneumonia. He was admitted last Wednesday and is still in pretty bad shape. I was not at work on Friday and Monday, helping my parents "baby-sit" him in the hospital, so I haven't checked out this thread for days... I was hoping to see some BFP's in here today... c'mon BFP's - where are you?! :p
Since I've missed so much and spent the last 15 minutes catching up, it's just general SO's today:
~To everyone BD'ing, testing and getting ready to O - good luck!!!
~To everyone who had AF show up and got BFN's - sorry, hope that you all have better luck in your next cycle!
I am at CD12. I have come to a realization that I have no idea when I O! None whatsoever. I don't even know if I do at all. I'd like to think that I do, but - I have no proof... I really don't want to chart - it just seems so "scientific" and I never wanted to make this TTC process "scientific" for DH and I... I was hoping that we could wing it by just SWH, but - it's been 5 months and - nothing... :( So, if this cycle is a bust again, I am buying a thermometer and will make an attempt at charting next cycle. I don't want to move to the charting thread though, 'cause I like it here! :)
Twylla
04-12-2006, 08:51 PM
Okay, so it's official, we're all staying here, whether we chart, temp, keep track of CM, whatever... or just true "SWH" we're here until we all get BFPs!!!! LOL. thanks for sharing all the love ladies, i'm sending it right back to you all, along with some baby dust!
And sorry about the bFP confusion. I'm still wishing for one, and hoping for many for all of you, lol. But that was a good trick, right? lol. :p
busybee I hope my babies are like your DD, nice and easy and happy! As long as they aren't hiding something coming up in the teen years! lol.
dan'sgirl there IS still a chance, but no more testing for now. You are permitted to go and buy another test this weekend, and take it on Easter (if you celebrate it, if not, test Sunday anyway! lol) to check again. Cycles are sometimes crazy the first while TTC. Plus, stress can delay O'ing, which would then delaye AF, so don't panic yet. There's hope until AF arrives!
miaclear the new moon and O-ing should be good luck... at the very least, you'll know you won't give birth to a werewolf, right? ;)
Zhanna I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. I'm wishing him a speedy recovering and sending support for you and your family. As far as O-ing... I don't have a clue either, if that helps at all! Hang in there, and remember, stress has a negative effect on your cycle, so try to limit it as much as possible, especially given the current circumstances.
Hi all,
I have been a slacker with this thread. I actually unsubscribed (horrors!) because I thought I was getting too wrapped up in TTC and we just started. I'm checking back in to see how everyone else is doing.
I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. Last week DH and I went to visit a birth center, which was awesome. I left feeling really excited and positive about becoming pregnant and giving birth. This week, though, I've been avoiding sex b/c I'm not ready to get PG yet (I'm on day 10 of my cycle) and last night I realized that I'm just plain SCARED of becoming pregnant, being a parent, etc. I know I am unlikely to get PG on my first cycle, but I'm still scared. Next month, or the following month, would be better. Part of the stress is I'm a teacher and would like to have a baby toward the end (March-June) of next school year. On the other hand, I've had endometriosis in the past and I'm worried that I'll never get PG.
So...please send any reassuring thoughts my way!
I hope everyone else is doing okay and seeing some BFP's soon. zhannushka, I hope your grandfather is doing okay and feeling better. :(
Good luck everyone for a (re)productive month. :)
jnshanna
04-13-2006, 09:14 AM
LOL Squee, yes! That got me a little excited when I saw bfp in Twylla's post too. That was a mean trick! ;)
Keep trying to hold out, BusyBee. You can do it!
I can't completely discourage you from thinking your pg but STOP TESTING, DansGirl! :p Try to wait it out for a couple of days before you test again. Make a goal and when you feel like you're going to test, find something to supplement the need. Like eating chocolate instead. LOL
Good for you for sticking with the 2 tests rule, miaclear. I've found that if I have them in the house, I'll use them so I don't have any. And I've been avoiding that aisle at the store intentionally. Oh, and LOL about the new moon. I thought I was the only one that would look at those things. I'm always looking at that and wondering hmmm, if I test or BD on that day will it be good luck? And so on...
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather, Zhanna. {{Hugs}}
J*east ~ It's totally normal to be scared. I'm terrified! Somehow everything just works out the way it is meant to be. Everything will fall in place. Just take it one day at a time and when you're ready to get pg, you will be! :) I'm feeling awfully positive today, if you hadn't noticed. ;)
So I think I O'd yesterday! Yay! I hope I'm not jumping to a conclusion but my temp jumped a lot today and that usually is a sure fire way to know I've O'd. And I don't have EWCM right now so I'm thinking I must have. I'm going to keep temping for a few more days though just to make sure. And we'll keep BDing just in case!
jnshannaI hope you caught that egg!
j*east I understand your fear. I go through it in every 2ww. At times I am sure I am not pg and I'm sad. Then sometimes I am in bed and think I am pg and panic. I think it's normal and does not make us flighty.
twylla glad you're staying and I hope everyone else does too.
zhannushkaSorry about your grandfather.
Dansgirl take a POAS break and see what happens. You'll save money and heartache.
miaclear I think the new moon is good.
As for me, I am CD 29. AF should be here. Tuesday, I saw a little pink on the tp and it went away. Yesterday I had spotting and it's gone. Yesterday I took a test, it was negatibe but not valid because the control line did not show up. Very frustrating. Now I am torn, run out and buy another test or wait. FWIW, I feel pg. I am trying not to get too excited.
jnshanna, you are so patient. Me, I ran to Longs, bought a 2 pack, came home, POAS, checked voicemail, ran back upstairs and saw my bfp.
It was there. Now I wish I had watched it develop because I almost don't believe it. It's faint, but it's pink and right in the center. I don't want to use the second one until maybe tomorrow AM, plus I just peed so I don't need to now. I can't believe it. I am in shock, and scared. Now, I have to deal with the fact I have had some spotting in early pg. I am going to try and believe it and...
Thank you, pacificbliss and jnshanna, for your support. It really helps!
miaclear, my dad is an astronomy professor, and always talks about how the moon affects daily life. My mom used to talk about how her cycle lined up with the moon. (But I can't remember what went with the new moon.) So you may be on to something!
BusyBee, good luck with testing, and with making it through the wait! :)
DansGirl, as you can see from my previous post, the first month of TTC has made me crazy also. There's that thought of, "I couldn't be pregnant already...but maybe I could!" It drives me crazy, and I don't even think I've O'ed yet. I started thinking I could be PG when I started thinking about TTC. :)
Congratulations Pacificbliss!!!
j*east, I think we have all felt the same, and I think we are all completely normal :)
Zhanna, I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. I hope he makes a full recovery very soon!
Dansgirl, In the beginning it is so hard to be patient! But you really can drive yourself crazy testing too soon ~ and waste lots of $$ too. Its definately easier if the hpt's are not in the house calling your name.
jnshanna ~ lots of baby dust to you!!!
The closer I get to Sunday, the harder it is not to think about testing. The last 2 mornings it is the first thing I have thought about when I woke up, but I have resisted! I just really hope that AF stays away and I get a BFP on Sunday!!!
BusyBee
04-13-2006, 01:27 PM
DansGirl, when I was charting to ttc#1, I would start taking HPTs as soon as AF was due - like if I could beat her to it and test as close as possible to AF without going over, then it would be positive. :rolleyes:
Miaclear - the 2 test rule is a good one. I also rush to the bathroom every morning to get rid of the ..um.. temptation.
I'm better now, though. With the holidays and the birthday, there are just too many people around the next few days - I wouldn't want to know and have to hide it right now anyway.
Congratulations, Pacificbliss!!!
Zhannushka - Sorry to hear about your grandfather, hope he's getting stronger soon.
J*east - It's totally natural to feel nervous. If you think you might have problems, you might as well go for it this cycle. It's better if you're lucky and get pg a little earlier in the year than you wanted, you'll have that extra time before school starts again. Really, in the end, anytime is a great time!
Jnshanna - Yeah for O!
OMG, a BFP!!! Congratulations pacificbliss!!! :D
Thank you everyone for your kind words and wishes!
We used pre-seed for the first time this morning... ;) I like it and so does DH. QOTD: Does anyone else use pre-seed or considered using it? I heard so many success stories (a few of my co-workers and here on the boards), so - I decided to give it a try this cycle...
Congratulations!!!! to pacificbliss!!! I'm so happy for you... we all needed to get a report of a BFP, and I'm sooo glad it was you! H&H nine months to you! :D :D :D
j*east Hang in there! I promise we're all getting on and off that same roller coaster, it's only natural. This is a BIG deal, not to be taken lightly. So come and go as you please, and when you need to vent, go ahead, lord knows I do! lol.
shanna hee hee, sorry for the trick! lol. Yay for O'ing... I hope you were right, but great idea to keep covering your bases! Two weeks from now, we want to see your pinks lineS!!!!
MrsK All my crossables are crossed for you... what a great surprise to wake up to a BFP on Sunday... hang on until then girl!!!
Zhannu we use slippery stuff, which I think (and if anyone knows for sure, please correct me if i'm wrong!) is that same thing, made by the same company and all. It does the job I guess, makes it easier when BDing starts to become a chore with these massively long cycles anyway. What I've heard is that it works the same as EWCM and gives the sperm a good environment so that it lives longer, and therefore you have a better chance of catching the egg. As long as you both enjoy it, keep going for it! And super good luck to you!!!!
ME! I had the second half of my dr appointment today, and everything is normal so far. I'm going back on CD 29 I think for a new PG test and a provera scrip. If the results are positive, then Yay! But if it's a BFN, I'll start the provera on CD30. Our plan, assuming we need all these cycles, is to do 5 days of 5mg provera this cycle and next, then re-evaluate for the following cycle. gosh, I hope we don't have to re-evaluate! lol. Anyway, that's where i am, a bit frustrated, but that's life I suppose.
Enjoy the long weekend everyone, and a super Happy Easter to all who celebrate in any way!!! :)
Congratulations Pacificbliss!!!! Just before I logged on I was thinking how we needed some good news around here.
QOTD: Zhanna...I was wondering about that too. If anyone has a review on preseed I'd love to hear it. I had always heard people talking about it but never knew what it was till I went to the website. I had no clue that most lubricants killed sperm. DH and I use a lubricant every so often.
Twylla...good luck, I hope you don't need the provera.
Me....what is wrong with me this week? I'm so tense and every muscle in my body hurts. I've been getting afternoon headaches for like four days straight. My neck and lower back (and well everywhere) just hurts. I scheduled a massage for this Sat hoping that will help me out. I'm just sore, cranky and exhausted all the time. I was telling my coworker about it (more like whining about it) and she asked if I was pregnant. Given I still have AF spotting I knew that wasn't the case :( I just can't wait for the weekend to be here already.
Thanks everyone for your advice. I've definately calmed down to a more saner anxiety level. Whew. But still no AF - CD 30-31, so we'll see, although not too optimistic. That's okay though, we'll just have some fun next cycle. :)
................
Pacificbliss WOO HOO!!!!!!!!! THATTA GIRL!
miaclear The massage should definately help - just relax and let your mind go away......
twylla You sound so optimistic and level-headed - way to go. I know nothing about Provera (yet) - but maybe you won't even need it, and if you do, its all about the destination and goal, ya' know?
zhannushka Your post made me go - what the heck is preseed? Good thing I read what others posted (i.e. lubricant) b/c you have no idea what I was thinking you were talking about :o
BusyBee & MrsKinnison Thanks for your advice...this whole TTC thing is gonna be a big lesson in patience for me!
So, I had a dream last night that I took an hpt. Its hard to explain, but it wasn't a normal one. It was round and a set of 4 inter-locking shapes appeared on it. If the shapes fit one way you were pg, and another way you weren't. Ofcourse mine fit right in the middle of pg and not pg, so even in my dreams I have no clue ~ go figure! I think maybe all it means is that Sunday is getting closer and I am getting more and more anxious!!!
Congratulations, pacificbliss! :)
Thanks to everyone for your support! I'm feeling less panicky now. I had a meltdown with DH where I just cried and ranted about how I'm scared of getting PG and that really helped, oddly enough. Expressing the fears helps to dispel them a bit.
BusyBee, looks like it was a good choice to wait to test. I admire your positive attitude.
MrsK, interesting dream! I heard/read that one dream a lot of PG women have is of fish or other animals swimming in water (like the baby). Weird, but I guess it makes sense.
miaclear, it's almost time for your massage on Saturday. :) I hope it helps you relax. Be extra nice to yourself this weekend.
Twylla, I hope you get the BFP before the Provera, or that the Provera works quickly. :) I can see why you're feeling a bit frustrated. Hang in there.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
So this morning I decided to look at my FF chart (which has no temps on it) for last cycle. DH and I BDd for when I thought I was fertile on a 28 day cycle (which I thought I was before bcp)...anyhow I was a 34 day cycle and we totally missed any opportunities for BDing then because we were so not into it after the previous week. SO NO WONDER why I didn't get pg. Amazing thing though was that my actual O date was right at two symptoms that I just couldn't ignore....BLOATED BLOATED BLOATED.
Boss is letting us out early today at 3:00.....I'm headed for an oil change and a brow wax and maybe some new clothes at Old Navy. I'm SO ready for this weekend....especially my Sat morning massage.
Congrats on AF showing, BusyBee. That is funny to type!
j*east ~ I'm glad you got some of that emotion out. I swear that's the best thing. Sometimes a good cry is just what the dr ordered. I usually feel so much better after!
pacificbliss ~ Do you have an EDD that you'd like us to put on the front page? :)
Enjoy that massage, miaclear. I need to go to Old Navy too. I realized that I don't really have any summer shirts at all! At least none that I like. LOL
Thanks for the babydust, Michelle. I hope you're feeling good.
I don't know what it is but I'm feeling so positive about this cycle for some reason. I just feel like this could be our month. I hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment though. I guess I'm probably feeling good because I took a break from charting. I hope it means something! :)
Nothing new to report - still no AF. Everyone sing with me now "Oh where oh where has my Aunt Flow gone, oh where oh where can she be?" :rolleyes: What I think I'm learning is that I probably had a longer cycle than I realized since I never have really paid much attention before. Hi ladies! Again, sorry for being MIA, but I really think it's helping not to obsess so much. I had to look at my empty FF chart today to see what CD I was on (20).
Pacificbliss- WOO HOO!! Major congratulations! I still want to see that test, if/when you test again.
Twylla- you always crack me up! I just read through about 6 pages and it seems like you are a lot more optimistic and up-beat this cycle. I hope your test are good and that you won't need the re-eval! It kinda sucks to get to the testing part because it makes it seem...well, medical, I guess, but we do what we have to do to ease our minds and help things along!
Mrs. K- you gave a little speech about all of us staying in this thread a few pages back that really touched me. Thank you! I am with Mrs. Jackson on that one. Keep it to yourself :)!
Busybee- I never thought I would say this in this thread, but congrats on AF's arrival!
jnshanna- I hope your good feeling is a premonition! So many people say that they "just knew" so maybe it IS your cycle! I can't wait to see!
Gosh, I know I missed somebody...I will go back and look and maybe edit my post.
Me- like I said CD 20. Not really obsessing. I have cried so many times in the last 2 days. I spent all day yesterday making invitations for my best friend's baby shower. That was tough at first. I Cried. I watched a baby story yesterday WHILE making the invites...bad idea. I cried. Found out by email this morning that a good friend of mine is getting married earlier than expected to a girl he isn't sure he wants to be married to at all because...(drum roll please)...she's pregnant. (again, I cried). He is not happy about it. He said in his email that "God has a wicked sense of humor" I wanted to write back and say, "no, God just knows how babies are made and if you're too stupid to prevent it, then he can't help you!" or, "if you don't want it, can I have it?" Stupid boy. Enough ranting. Oh yeah, I cried at pacificbliss's announcement too! Good day, girls!
Dansgirl....that was my problem, thought I had shorter cycles that I remembered and totally missed my O date.
Jess....hang in there. That really sucks about your friends upcoming wedding.
MrsKinnison...I won't count you out till AF shows for sure
Me....just got back from my massage and I feel like I got beat up! Which is a good thing. I'll probably be sore today and tomorrow but I can already tell the tension is gone, I can turn my neck without it making funny sounds...all in all a good thing. I wish massages weren't so much money. This one cost me $120 (including tip) but I had a $80 gift card to cover the majority of it. Now I'm off to wash my car. I think this is going to be a good month for me :D
Congrats to Pacificbliss! I am sending you sticky vibes! I hope you have a very happy and healthy nine months!:D
Congrats on Af to busybee! I am sure you and your Dh are both excited to get the show on the road.
I hope that you are wrong MrsK and that you get your BFP in a day or two!:D
I should do more shout outs but I haven't been here for several days so I will just say that I am glad that all you ladies are a part of this thread and having you to 'talk' to has made this emotional journey more bearable! I am one who has been here for more months than I would like to think about, but being able to support other ladies who are going through the same disappointment, having them support me, and having the BFPs to lift my spirits has been great. So thanks!
QOTD: I did buy some preseed this month for the same reason and we have only used it once because DH couldn't wait. He wanted to test it before we really needed it. :rolleyes:;)
I am on CD 14 so I have another 5 or 6 days until O (probably). I am hoping that we are pg this month. My parents have been traveling ever since Christmas and are getting back at the end of the month. It would be a great thing to invite them back home with and a great pre-Mother's Day present to me.:)
I am having supreme deja vu. I swear I replied in this thread more recently than two days ago, but oh well.
Nothing is up here. I'm actually hoping not to get PG this month b/c that would make the baby due the first week of January, immediately before finals (I teach high school). Bad timing, because somehow I'd still have to grade those finals and write reports, which in my school are half a page of narrative per student. :eek: So DH and I haven't really DTD since last weekend. Poor guy. I'm not charting but am on CD 12 and should maybe O in the next 3-4 days. This is where charting would be a good idea so I don't have to torture DH...but every month after this I'll want to get PG, so it's just this month. At least, this is how I rationalize my craziness. :)
looty, what did your DH think of the Preseed? :) I love this thread, too! I'll try to be here more often. I feel the love!
miaclear, I'm glad the massage helped relieve some tension. Sounds like you're feeling upbeat about this month, which I honestly think helps move things along.
MrsK, sorry about BFN! :( I still have a good feeling though.
Jess, see my previous post...crying is good! :o That's not fun about your friend. What a way to start a marriage...unwittingly and unwillingly pregnant. I hope it works out for them, but that must be so hard to hear.
Dansgirl, I hope the yardwork was cleansing and your AF showed up. Meanwhile, I'll keep singing your little song. :) Seriously, it is stuck in my head now.
jnshanna, I still feel better from my crying! It's healing to cry. I get really wigged out in my mind about stuff, but keep it to myself. Crying helps me let it alllll out and move on. Thanks for the support!
..............
MrsKinnison - well here's to a new start. Lets hope April showers bring May BFPs!!!
j*east - sorry about the song :p But we've got to keep it light in here, ya' know?
looty - your thoughts about this thread are exactly why I keep coming back in here - how lucky are we to have this group. :) Here's hoping for some great Mother's Day BFPs!
miaclear - I'm pretty sure that's the issue here - longer cycles. Guess I'll know since I'm now paying attention to that. Glad you're massage was relaxing - sounds like it was just what you needed.
Hi ladies! I realized what I forgot was the QOTD, so here it goes:
We got Preseed for last month, and since CM had been scant, at best, it was awesome for us!!! I loved it. Made things so much more pleasant! Oh, and I also tried green tea this cycle, and it definitely worked to increase (or make) CM! I had definite EW for the first time since paying attention to that kind of stuff! I will continue with that for sure, if this cycle isn't "the one".
I just told DH that I am not sure if it's in my head or not, but I am noticing my boobs more lately. Can't tell that they are bigger or fuller, just almost in the way, it seems. Nipples seem to be somewhat tender, but that could be because I sat out on my deck in the sun topless yesterday. I can't remember if I noticed it before then. I am not calling them "symotoms" because I have had some before to no avail. I am thinking that if they were symptoms they would be don't-touch-me tender and not just well-if-I-pinch-them tender. Anyway, that's all!
JayJay
04-16-2006, 08:58 PM
Jess71903, what kind of green tea did you drink?
looty
04-16-2006, 08:58 PM
J*east~Dh said that he thought it was okay. He said it was lubricated and it's good that is doesn't do anything to the sperm, but he said that it didn't feel "as slick" as other lubes. This may be TMI but we usually put the lube on him and with preseed you put it inside the female. I don't know if that would be the difference or not.
Sorry about AF MrsKinnison but I am so glad to hear that it didn't ruin your Easter!
busybee glad to hear that AF showed up and that is a good thing for you (that is so hard to type)!
miaclear I recenlty got my first massage ever and it was nice. The only bad part was that my neck hurt for a couple of days afterward. I am getting a second one when we travel to Arizona at the end of the month so I am going to compare the massages.
Congrats pacificbliss!
I am too far behind for other shout outs, but our Easter guests are gone (all 11 of them!) and hopefully I can keep up better now. This is CD15, and DH and I have some serious BDing to do. :D I do not like to get my groove on with a house full of people, so it's been a while. DH had a dream the other night that we had a 4 lb 9 oz. son that we named Major, lol. Maybe that means this will be our lucky month.
All that work and it still didn't bring on AF, DansGirl? Maybe she just won't show?
Good to see you Jess! :) I totally understand not wanting to obsess so much though. I'm trying but it's not working so well now.
Hopefully that renewed relaxation will help you with TTC this month, miaclear! :) I wish massages were less expensive too. I'd get them a lot more often and facials!
Sorry about AF, MrsK. I'm glad you were still able to have a nice Easter.
Welcoem back, tinkerbelljenny. I'm glad you had fun in Wyoming.
Well, my optimism has gone totally out the window. :( I've been spotting for the last week and I was stupid enough to temp this morning and my temp was WAY down. The last time I had spotting like this and erratic temps, I didn't O that cycle at all. And my cycle ended up being 46 days. So I'm feeling pretty bummed about things. I'm going to put that thermometer back in the drawer to avoid the temptation because it's stressing me out! We went to Walmart yesterday and we don't go that often so I picked up some pg tests. I'm going to try really hard not to touch them this month.
zhannushka
04-17-2006, 10:19 AM
CD17 for me. We've been BD'ing with pre-seed every other day since CD13. It definitely makes things so much more pleasant! :D I don't have high hopes for us this month, 'cause I've been extremely stressed and from what I understanded - the more stressed you are, the less chance you have to get PG... :(
***
j*east: I should probably be taking a break in TTC this/next month - January and February are the busiest time in my industry and even though I know my boss will be happy for me no matter what, at the same time I will feel kind of horrible being out... But - since we've beeing trying for a few months, I refuse to let these thoughts stop me now...
MrsKinnison: So sorry about AF showing up. I am glad that it didn't ruin your Easter though!
DansGirl: I hope that AF doesn't show up and stays away for the next 9 months! :p
Jess71903: Isn't preseed the best?! I don't know why I didn't try it earlier... I told DH - even after (when) we get PG, I want to keep using this stuff anyway.
In my last 2WW, I kept checking to see whether my boobs are tender. I think I pinched them so much that they did get really tender and sensitive (obviously - not because I was PG though) :D
looty: Sorry if this is TMI, but - DH and I have been splitting the tube - I squeeze half of it into me and he puts the rest on him. It's been working for us really well...
tinkerbelljenny: I am glad that you had a nice time on your trip!
Ericka: You will be in my thoughts tomorrow...
Sadie: Have fun BD'ing! This is definitely the best part of the cycle! :D
jnshanna: I am so sorry about the spotting. I totally understand that "bummed" feeling... :(
zhannushka, if we had been trying longer, I wouldn't take this month off, but we're just getting started. It's good for my mental health also. :) But we've already decided that if we haven't conceived in the "optimal" window, we'll just keep going until we do...work be damned.
Okay, now I'm really intrigued by PreSeed. Where do you get it?
JayJay
04-17-2006, 12:09 PM
j*east I order my PreSeed off of ebay. I get it for $17.50, free shipping, and two free pregnancy tests.
Okay, now I'm curious about pre-seed too. What type have those of you that have it bought? The internal or external kind? I'm trying to decide which would be better. I'm thinking the internal type would be better. I think it'll be hard for me to figure out when to use it next cycle (providing I have a next cycle ;) ) because my O date is so different month to month but it's worth a try! :)
ETA: I was impatient and just ordered the internal applicator kind with 2 free pg test (like I need anymore?) at www. early - pregnancy - tests. com. So we'll see if it works next cycle. Now I just have to see if I get the chance to use it! ;)
Congrats Tinkerbell!!!!!
I did some searches for Pre-seed and got some good and bad reviews on it. Mainly the bad ones were the price and the applicators. Those who weren't Pre-Seed fans were Femglide fans which is a LOT less expensive and doesn't have individual applicators so you can use as much or as little as you want.
I'm going to hold out this cycle again and if I do buy I think I might try the FemGlide.
Congrats, tink! What a great time to get a BFP, after you've had time to chill a little! Where in WY did you go, BTW? We went to Jackson Hole last March and absolutely fell in love with it!
Mrs. J- never seen actually green green tea. My dad used to buy it instead of regular tea all the time and it was just darker brown. It's supposed to be good for you anyway, with antioxidants and stuff. Mine is kinda pink from the raspberry.
Preseed- the individual applicator thing never bothered me. We still use just what we need and leave the rest in the tube. We often use it all, though! I like it because I HATE getting lube all over my hands and sheets. This way seems a lot cleaner to me, but you could squeeze it all out on him or whatever if you wanted to do it that way.
Actually most of the green teas I have had are green in color. The latest kind I had was in a green box, forget the name right now, it was a simple type of style box.
I bought a huge box of green tea from Costco months ago. It is in a green box and it is called TenRen.
Jess We went to Casper. We want to go to Jackson Hole, it sounds really pretty there.
A huge CONGRATS to tinkerbelljenny! We are on a roll!:D
I am glad to hear that your sugars are getting to be under control, Ericka. I will be thinking about you tomorrow.
Zhanna, thanks for the info. We may have to try that. I am like Jess in that I did like that there wasn't really any mess. I hope we all have as much luck as a lot of other ladies I have heard about.
I am sure you are super excited Stevesbabygirl! I remember the countdown being so exciting and nervewracking at the same time.
I have realized that if it takes me a few more months I will get to spend a lot longer time home with the baby since I am a teacher. If I am due in April, then I should be able to stay out the rest of the year and the over the summer. That sounds a lot better than having to go back after about 8 weeks, but since we have been trying for so long we aren't going to stop. I am just hoping that if I don't get pregnant that this information will make it a little more bearable. I should be O'ing over the weekend, so not too much longet until the really exciting time in my cycle!;)
Congrats,tinkerbelljenny! Happy and Healthy 9 months to you!
We've been using the pre-seed for the last two cycles. Well, the last one and beginning stages of this one. DH and I really enjoy it. It just gives BD'ing that extra greatness. ;) The only problem I have noticed with it is that I sometimes have trouble getting some out. You have to stick it up in you, then squeeze, and sometimes I feel like I'm sucking it all back in before I get the tube out. I know, I know....TMI. Sorry!
We too use half a tube, and then I wrap it back up and use the other half another time. I know it says not to do that, but I do. What can I say, I'm a rule breaker!
You know, I lived in Jackson Hole when I was in junior high for a few months. I mostly remember the wooden sidewalks and the cold! LOL
Good luck with Oing, looty. :)
Good to know about keeping the other half of the applicator of pre-seed. I always go by the rules but if it's working for you ladies, I'll do it too. Have I mentioned I'm also a little gullible. ;)
Congrats tinkerbell!!! Happy anbd healthy nine months to you!
Me, Ive been lurking a bit but in my 2ww I tend to try to keep away a bit to do all I can to keep my mind off baby stuff. It seems to work terribly tho. Im on 6dop according to ff. I charted for the first time in ages this month and I still dont feel 100% sure its right. Seems like were on a roll this month maybe we can set a new record!!
Congratulations, Tinkerbelljenny!! Best wishes for a great 9 months!!
Good luck this week, looty! I think you and I have the same thoughts about the teaching schedule. My sister also works in a school and had her kids in Feb, March, and May. She said Feb. wasn't too bad (went back after 12 weeks) because when the baby is 3-4 months, it's still not interacting much, and then she got the whole summer when he was a little older. So...there are advantages to getting PG earlier than "ideal." I can rationalize anything! :)
Hi. I haven't checked in for quite awhile. I just wanted to say Congratulations to the BFP's and to update!
We have decided to really, really see what happens. We are not going to "try" anymore due to being stressed out about everything and just go about life like everyday. We are going to still not be protected but putting no thought into it until we decide what we want to do. I am though still waiting for a friend. She is suppose to come today or tomorrow and I have no sign of her yet...strange. Normally I have sore bb's and other signs but I have none yet..I am quite confused. :confused:
When do you plan on testing, Squee?
I hope that you're feeling better, looty!
Twylla - have fun BD'ing! :p
alliannie - I hope that relaxing and taking it easy will do the magic for you!
Me - I'm at CD19. This cycle is moving SO slowly... I feel like it's been forever since AF, even though it's only been 2 weeks...
One interesting observation this cycle - I have way too much CM. I am not sure whether it's due to pre-seed (we've been BD'ing every other day and using this stuff every time) or maybe my body is doing something different this time... Any ideas?
MrsK Congrats! I wish this were a congrats following a PG test for you as well, but small victories, right?
Well, I thought that since I O'd on CD19 this month, and I had a 12 day LP last month, the same would happen for this cycle. But now I'm spotting, and I'm only 9DPO. I guess I'll have that 28 day cycle no matter what. And then it's our cycle to start TTC :D!
Sorry you're feeling sick, looty. I hope you feel better just in time for BDing. ;)
Update on me: CD27 and no idea what's going on. :( I lost the battle with putting the therm in the drawer and am still temping. They seemed so erratic so I figured I should keep up with the temping. I hope they normalize at least a little soon. I'm pretty bummed that they are so out of whack.
Twylla
04-19-2006, 09:17 PM
Shanna I'm the same way with charting. My temps seem to be all over the place. the one thing i could see though was a pretty good drop about 6 days before aF started... so keep temping and seeing what happens with that. Maybe ou'll be able to notice a pattern eventually... Good luck! Will you test soon?
Congrats to MrsK!
Sorry to hear that Stevesbabygirl. I went through the same thing with Dh several times. I know how disappointing and frustrating it can be but unfortunately it is a two person decision. I hope he changes his mind in time or at least doesn't keep pushing it back on you!
Hi girls, I know what is normal in C but I am not sure what is consider to be a fever in F, can someone tell me?
Today in the morning I woke up in a pool of sweat, took my temp and it was 98.5F not sure if it is high or normal, but I do not feel sick at all. No runny nose, no soar throat, maybe I am coming up with something…
I am on CD 27 today, AF is due on Saturday. I am not sure about this cycle; I have no prego symptoms what so ever. Spotting should start today. My BBs are really sore, as they always are before AF, for the exception that it is usually soar a week before, this time it has been almost 2.5 weeks before, maybe prenatal vitamins, that I finally bought in WalMart, have something to do with it.
zhannushka
04-20-2006, 12:10 PM
Veeka - have you tested??? (sorry - POAS addict here :p )
Congrats on the peak reading looty!
jnshanna - I hope you can get your temps figured out soon... I hate having tests at home, 'cause if I do - I can't keep myself from using them, even when I know for a fact that it's too early. :rolleyes:
MrsK - Congratulations on passing the test!!! :D
Heather - Oh, I know so well what that feels like... :( I caught baby fever a few months BEFORE our wedding, not that I wanted to start TTC than, but - I was hoping to start on our wedding night :p DH was so not into that idea though! - he kept telling me that we need to enjoy our life as a married couple before we start TTC and that we are not even ready financially. I decided that if I pressure him, it will only make him rebel more, so - I let him have it his way.
All of a sudden, 2 months later, a baby bug must've bit him, 'cause he started talking non-stop about how nice it would be to have a baby of our own (most of our friends have kids already). So now, 5 months later - he's the one reminding me that we have to BD 'cause "what if we miss the ovulation." :D
Veeka....Can you wait till this weekend to test? I don't think I could ;) Good luck!
QOTD: We're having a blood drive tomorrow at work and I'm signed up. Do you think giving blood could mess up my O date (which should be exactly next Friday)? Part of me just doesn't want to mess with it and just not donate this time around.
jnshanna
04-20-2006, 02:28 PM
Veeka ~ I'm pretty sure normal body temp is 98.6. Every woman's body is totally different though when it comes to temping. As far as TTC with Charting goes, 98.6 is a pretty high temp and is definitely a good sign. :) But I don't want to get you too excited because it could just be a fluke and if you temped tomorrow it could be down quite a bit. Usually a sustained high temp is a good sign that you could be pg. Anyway, that was probably more info than you needed. ;)
I have no idea about giving blood, miaclear. Maybe ask in the TTC Rookie question thread? I bet Flygirl or Scooter would have some idea.
Today a coworker of mine were talking and she kinda jumped a bit and said "Man that felt like a baby!" (she's had two and as far as I know is done, she's gotta be late late 30s early 40s). Anyhow...she jumps and says this and "I better not be pregnant". How weird would it be to find out your pregnant at that stage? Unlike all of us who are testing as soon as possible.
It was just kinda funny.
Welcome Betsyboop, nice and short stay to you!
So, of cause I did not sleep all night! How could I? I had a pregnancy test hiding in my bag! So I finally decided to get up at 6 am after tossing and turning for few hours, I was hot again, took my temperature and it is still showing 98.5F, no spotting, but my BBs are not so sore anymore, after 2.5 weeks of impossible to touch, all of the sudden I can sleep on them!
So I took the test and right the way the vertical line from the plus sign came up in dark blue and the light horizontal line came up as well. It said to wait for 2 min, but it was too cold, so I left the test on the sink and ran to bed. Went back in 10 min later and both lines of plus sign are light blue! It is slightly visible; I had to turn on the lights to make sure! I was trying to take a picture, but it did not come out! I am not getting too exited, because line was barely visible, so who knows. Plus I have crams today!
So tomorrow should be my first AF day, should I take another test tomorrow or wait till Sunday?
