How do you apply tape in your strapless dresses? What kind of tape do you use? Do you use this for lift or to keep your dress in place? I have one of those terry cloth tube top dresses and I would like to at least wear it out but I'm not sure how to do the tape thing...
...Inquiring minds wanna know....

I have heard that toupee (sp?) tape works well for this purpose, although I've never tried it personally.
Good luck!

Do you tape to lift or to secure the dress? Strapless bras are not an option unfortunately....

I think the toupee tape would be to secure the dress in place. If you want lift/support, maybe those pasty bra things that you tape under your boobs to give some support without a bra? Hmmm, I dunno...never tried that either. A lot of help I am, huh? :p

I once used duct tape b/c a strapless bra wasn't working with the BM dress, and I'm a little, um, well endowed... so the pasties things were out of the question, lol.
Rule #1. Do NOT stick the tape directly onto your boobs. Owie. First, take the tape, and press the sticky side onto a towel so it picks up some fuzzies. i know it sounds wierd, but if you'd prefer to keep some skin on your girls, you'll do this.
Rule #2. Tape, then trim. Use the tape to gently lift (just enough so that they're sitting about where they normally would in most bras) and hold them in place. Then put on the dress/top and trim off the tape that's sticking out.
Rule #3. Peel off gently. As long as you got some towel fuzzies on the tape first, and you're careful about the removal, it shouldn't be too bad.
I taped without fuzzies, then was doing the running man at my friend's wedding. Rip! It was terrible. I was in tears making DH take the tape off that night.. owie!!!!
Good luck! ;)

I don't know anything about taping a dress up, but having worked in the adhesive industry, I can tell you that if the tape is really stuck and hurts like crazy to pull off, use a blow dryer to heat it up. It will come off easier but it will leave more residue. You can usually get the residue off with rubbing alcohol.

Never done the taping thing--i have used the stick-on bra before. please be careful if you use duck-tap...there was a picture going around for a while from a sorority formal and you could see about 1-2 inches of ducktape sticking out form the top of her dress...I know the picture was legit because the picture was from a local photo company from a local school....so please be careful (maye try to find black ducktape--so in case anything happens it wouldnt be quite to obvious!!)

I don't have enough to tape up, but my friends use surgical tape. Does the job and doesn't hurt when peeling off.
