So DH cooked tonight and asked me how I make the queso dip for tortilla chips. I told him 1/2 velveeta light and 1 10oz can of rotel tomatoes with chilis. So we sat down for dinner and the dip was all clumpy. I knew exactly what he did, he added real cheddar to the dip. Grrrr. So now we have a pot of clumpy cheese dip. Can I save this somehow? Turn it into soup? Anything?
Thanks!

Hmm...I see several people have looked at this but no reply, I guess there is no hope ;) I will toss it tonight.

What about making a white sauce and then adding the chicken broth and the dip to it to make a spicy cheese soup?

How about spooning it on top of chicken breasts during maybe the last 10-15 minutes of baking?

Guilty! I don't know what to do with it! I might have tried whirring it back together in the blender.

You should be able to mix it with some milk to create an improved cheese dip. reheat slowly.

All are great ideas. I am glad I don't have to pitch it as I hate to waste food. Thanks for the ideas!
I think I am going to try to soup and the chicken idea.

I'd second this - I think, if you make a cheese dip with just cheddar cheese that is how you get it to melt smoothly. I would warm some milk on the stove and add it to the cheese dip until it reaches a better consistency.
