A lot of us seem to have some pretty strong addictions and allegiances to products. We play with eye shadows and lipsticks, sure, but open up those make up bags and tell.... what products do you absolutely run out and replace when they are running low? The must haves that you cannot, nay, will not do without.

greenbunny, how well does the Redken Anti-snap work? I've been looking for something to help strengthen my hair (I've been getting some breakage from pulling it back).
My picks:
Hair:
got2b curl-vacious shimmer curl gel (days when I wash and go)
Redken Satinwear blow-dry lotion and
Bed Head Control Freak Serum (these two on days when I straighten my hair)
Make-up:
MAC Blot Powder in Medium
MAC Paints in Stilife
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Tint in 1136
Skincare:
Baking soda
Burt's Bees Garden Tomato Toner
Paula's Choice 2% BHA gel
I experiment with lots of other products (mascaras, moisturizers, perfumes, etc), so I won't list those here.

I really think it helps. Dollface recommended it, and when I started using a flat iron, my ends were sticking up and looked dead and almost white, like they were bleached. Now everything lays flat and the color seems uniform, and the flyaway pieces seem to be getting longer. Plus, it smells really good, like tropical fruit.

A good set of brushes the right tools for the job make all the difference in the world.
Color choices that work for your skintone, hair, and eye color.
I have found that what works for most people doesn't usually work for me. I think it is worth it to figure out what works for you as an individual, and the above (and below) is general advice I would give to someone starting to use cosmetics.
