Who we are:
We are a group of women who for 1 reason or another want to shed a few (or more) lbs. We need the encouragement of others no matter their size or goal and we thrive in an atmosphere where we can all support one another.
Want to join the fun?!?
We welcome one and all. It doesn’t matter what diet you are on (if any) or how many miles a week you run (if any) we will all find lots of help and support here.
Feel free to join at any time during the challenge.

Known issues: Was an elite athlete 5 yrs ago, I'm an endomesomorph (gain weight eaily with a muscular build) need 7+ hours of cardio a week to see any results. I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life I have always been athletic and musclely (sp??) Currently I have a stress fracture in my foot which limits the types of cardio machines I can use (bike only) so I am swimming 2 - 3x week and trying to get to the gym 2-3x week as well

OK so I finally got it started not the prettiest one we have had but at least it's here. Althought I just realized I'm not in the groups.
Since I just copied from the ST pat's Challenge can eveyone let me know your starting weight and goal. I know I left out some of the late additions so please repost and I will add you.
I would love help with PM the challenge or Kingdono. Maybe we can figure out a way to break up the updates.

This sounds so like me! :D Left foot and eating bad stuff my FH eats too!
I have a final Dr's appt Wednesday to determine whether or not my foot is permanently fractured :( (It's been over a year that it has been causing me pain)

I have a final Dr's appt Wednesday to determine whether or not my foot is permanently fractured :( (It's been over a year that it has been causing me pain) Di
I thought about getting a X-ray, but stress fractures are tedious to find even for the experts. I'm just going to give it some rest time. Goodluck with your appt...let me know what happens...may give me some insight with my foot.

Long term goal: There is a baby shower coming up for my SIL, so we'll be seeing lots of family/friends and there is a particular outfit I'd like to wear, if I can fit in it. It's coming up soon...I'll keep you posted on that.

Over the last year I have had 2 xrays (at the beginning when the dr's wouldn't send me for a bone scan) 2 bone scans (one 3 months after the injury and one this past Feb) a CT scan and an ultrasound (looking for tendon damage).
After all that and numerous orthotic adjustments my sports medicine doc has concluded that I have a permanent crack in my sesmoid bone since the bone has stopped healing (determined through the latest bone scan) and I will have to rely solely on orthotic adjustments to allow me to run and jump comfortably again :( Or I can opt for surgery - but the only doc that will remove the cracked portion of the bone is based in NYC and since it's elective it would be way too much $$$$ :(
My advice to you would get into see a sports medicine doc ASAP that specializes with dancers/basketball players and get on getting something to unload the weight off that joint...or you might end up like me - with a permanently cracked bone :(

Agreed, i've been stuck at 134-135 for the past 3 challenges!! That weight area seems to be a big plateau for a lot of us!

I had a horrible week. I had book club this week and ate to much there, earlier in the week I had a BAD day at work and ate to much then too :( I did excerise some this week which is probably why my gain isn't too horriffic.

I'm really happy with this considering that I was on travel. I never realized how hard it is to try and keep eating healthy on the road. The only good things that came out of this was I started drinking more water, I'm taking less sugar with my coffee, and I started walking for 10-15 minutes in the morning before work.

yeah me, i didn't work out as much as i wanted to, but it's amazing how just increaing my activity level a small amount can change things. when you are as heavy as i am, even a little bit helps.
i know i have a really long road ahead (one that i've been down too many times to count) but its nice to see even small results.

I've been around this weight for like a month now... I didn't lose any weight in the last challenge, I just keep losing/gaining the same amount! I just upped my cardio this week though so hopefully that will help break the cycle. Also I went back to keeping a food log since it really helps keep me on track.

Well, despite my efforts it looks like I gained. It's small, but still very frustrating, since I upped my exercise and I know I did pretty well with my food intake, so I don't see how... But on the plus side, this weekend I tried on a pair of pants that haven't fit for almost a year and a half now, and they finally fit again!

Well, despite the gain, I know my body must be changing, for the better - I can fit into my smaller size pants again, which I couldn't do just a few weeks ago, plus I feel like I actually look leaner now, too. DH made a comment the other day that he was starting to see muscles and definition that weren't really noticeable before. So I think I'm going to take a break from the challenges and see how the next month pans out. I will still be following my exercise/diet, but I think I need to take a break from weighing myself for a bit, since I think all it's doing is confusing me!

I noticed on the first page my weigh in for week 3 (which was actually a SKIP) was incorrectly put under week 4 - probably because I'm a slacker and didn't get around to posting for week 3 until a few days ago, when everyone started posting for week 4! ;) Just wanted to point that out so it could be cleared up...
