My Best friend is pregnant for the 2nd time. Her pregnancies are really close together (planned that way) and she is having a tough time. She is exhausted and having MS. Her DH does not do well in the planning category so she is trying not to set herself up for dissappointment. Last year she was pregnant and he was deployed so it was a rough year for her too. Any gift ideas? last year I sent her flowers. We normally don't exchange gifts except at Xmas but I really want to do something nice for her. I don't live anywhere close so it limits a lot of what I know she would enjoy.
TIA

I'd suggest getting her a gift certificate to a spa in town....one that offers pregnancy massages, manis, pedis, ect... Maybe you could also contact her normal sitter (or family memeber) and arrange babysitting for her child so she can have a day of pampering.

I just bought a gift for a PG friend. I got her some really comfy PJs to wear once the baby is here - since you have a lot of visitors and might not want to change out of PJs. :D

I second the spa certificate. There comes a time when you can't see your toenails, shave your you know what, or get comfy in any position. I would KILL for a trip to the spa today and would be eternally grateful to whatever friend sent me there.

I third the spa gift certificate. It's easily done from out of town. And when I was preggo, I wanted nothing more than a backrub.

I agree with the spa idea, I did that for my Best friend, although I live close and we went together when she was PG with her first child. It was a fun day for both of us.

The spa idea is great if there's someone to watch her little one. If she's close to delivery, a gift certificate for a place that delivers meals or for house cleaning would be awesome. I also loved the PJ's idea. I loved Majama's nursing dress - http://www.babystyle.com/common/dProductDetail.asp?pmid=10196&dept=3

I vote for the spa gift certificate too. I'm pregnant and that sounds heavenly right now.
