WHEN strangers stop to admire Kylee Hodgson’s twins, they do more than a double take. For the little girls don’t even look like sisters - let alone twins. Despite being conceived together in their mother’s womb and being born within a minute of each other, Kian Hodgson’s skin is black - yet her sister Remee is white.

huh...thats pretty amazing. They are going to have a lifetime of explaining themselves though, which will be annoying for them.

They do have similar faces, their eyes and noses are alike. Their hair texture looks similar.
Very cute babies!

There's a very famous set of twin boys, one black, one white, whose photo is in almost every introductory ob-gyn text in the country. I'll see if I can get a link to the text to convince those hold-out nonbelievers.

Here you go:
http://online.statref.com/Document/Image.aspx?Mime=image/gif&FxID=3&Media=WO/WOF3905&SessionID=6486D6DVGUTTMPLH

I'm not sure the photo will hotlink, as the image is behind a password-input page. So, just in case, the text and citation:

Superfecundation refers to the fertilization of two ova within the same menstrual cycle but not at the same coitus, nor necessarily by sperm from the same male. An instance of superfecundation, documented by Harris (1982), is demonstrated in Figure 39-5. The mother was sexually assaulted on the 10th day of her menstrual cycle and had intercourse 1 week later with her husband. She was delivered of a black neonate whose blood type was A and a white neonate whose blood type was O. The blood type of both the mother and her husband was O. Terasaki and co-workers (1978) described the use of HLA typing to establish that a specific set of dizygotic twins were sired by different fathers.
- Williams Obstetrics, 22nd edition, McGraw-Hill 2005

As the text says, the photo is figure 39-5 in the book, so those who want to can get a hold of the text for themselves. :)

Crazy! Such cute little girls! Aside from the obvious difference in skin color, their faces and hair look very similar.
