The fertility statues are known to work for some who rub them around the time of possible conception.
It is said that the baby is the most potent part of the statue.

So rub away! :D It's worth a shot!


Who we are:
This is a group of women using charting (temperatures, CM, CP, OPK/FM results, or a combination of these) to try to conceive and, along the way, are learning a heckuvalot about their own bodies! Many of us use a software program to keep track of our charts as well as allowing us to share them with each other. The most common ones are FertitlityFriend.com and Ovusoft.com.

Your threadmistresses for this thread are gymwidow and cowgirl.

To our members:
This thread gets very busy at times, so in order to keep things less overwhelming and a bit more organized, we start a new thread after 5 BFPs. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over. The threadmistresses would really appreciate it if everyone would post their updates in Red. That way, if we get a bit behind, it is much quicker to get the thread up-to-date.

Things I Have Learned About TTC

* TTC is a journey. You will discover things about yourself that you never expected. You will face fears you never thought you had. You will find joy in little things.

* TTC can bring you closer to your DH, or it can pull you apart. If your marriage is not solid, you will find out quickly.

* No one understands exactly what you are feeling at any given moment, but someone can empathize at least a little bit.

* You will experience an emotional roller coaster ride. There will be highs and lows and fast moments and slow. Sometimes you have to wait in a very, very slow moving line. You may not even get the seat you want. It is not always fun, it can be scary, but in the end it is worth it.

* "Just relax" is the last thing in the world you want to hear from someone, but it is OK if you say it about yourself.

* There will be moments when you question your own decision to start TTC. You will wonder if you should wait or if you should just give up. Those are normal. But you will get past those feelings.

* The blue and green turtle likes to pop its head out! You will hear of someone's pregnancy and turn green with envy and blue inside because it isn't you.

* It isn't fair, it isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. But you keep doing it because the reward is worth it.

* You will be your best friend and your worst enemy. Your body will
surprise you and yet disappoint you.

* Some women do get lucky and conceive right away. Others aren't so lucky and have to struggle to get there. Hope you will be in the first category, but prepare yourself to be in the second.

* Once you decide to TTC, there will be babies and pregnant women everywhere! You could swear there is a baby boom going on!

- Common TTC abbreviations

This is a list of some of the more common TTC abbreviations. I know as a newcomer to the TTC threads, it can be hard to keep them all straight. I hope these will help, and if anyone has any they would like added, please let me know!


•2WW: "2 week wait" - The approximate time from possible conception to menstruation due date; Pregnancy tests should be taken near the end of the 2WW.
•AF: "Aunt Flo"; Your period; Menstruation
•AFNW: "Aunt Flo Not Wanted"; the day your period is expected to start, but you are hoping it doesn't!
•AO: anovulatory (cycle without ovulation)
•BBs: "boobs"; breasts
•BBL: "be back later"
•BBT: Basal Body Thermometer; This is used to measure your basal body temperature, when you wake up in the morning, after at least 3 hours of sleep, before you start to move around; Use a special BBT thermometer to take your temperature because they measure the small changes in temperature from day to day more accurately than the regular fever thermometers.
•BCP: Birth control pills
•BD'ing: "baby dancing"; baby-making intercourse
•BFN: "Big Fat Neutral" or “Big Fat Negative”; Negative pregnancy test.
•BF'ing: breast-feeding
•BRB: "be right back"
•CD: cycle day; a particular day in your menstrual cycle (example: CD1 is the first day of your period)
•CL: Cover Line; a visual tool used to separate the low (pre-ovulatory) temps from high (post-ovulatory) temps; a coverline is typically based on the temperatures 6 days prior to ovulation.
•CM: cervical mucous; one of the most useful clues your body can give you in predicting your fertility; it can range from dry, creamy, sticky, or (the most fertile) egg white/watery type.
•CF: cervical fluid; same as cervical mucus
•CP: cervical position; an optional, but sometimes really useful, fertility sign; CP will generally be low, firm and closed before and after ovulation, and high, soft and open during your fertile time.
•DD: "dear daughter"
•DH: "dear husband"
•DS: "dear son"
•DPO: Days Past Ovulation; number of days from your post-ovulatory temperature rise. (Example: 1DPO is the day after your ovulation)
•Endo: endometriosis (can be a fertility problem)
•EDC and EDD: estimated date of confinement (antiquated, but still used by physicians) and estimated date of delivery
•EPT: a brand of pregnancy test, or, generic for "early pregnancy test"
•EW or EWCM: egg white cervical mucus; the most fertile quality CM; it is slippery, clear and stretchy, like egg whites; also EWCF
•FAM: Fertility Awareness Method; the method of fertility and/or birth control that correlates the physical changes you experience during your cycle to predict when you are most fertile
•FF: Fertility Friend, an online (free, for basic services) fertility charting site (website); (could also be formula feeding; check context)
•FM: fertility monitor
•FMU: first morning urine
•FP: follicular phase; the phase before ovulation, where the egg matures in the ovaries
•FRED: First Response Early Detection (pregnancy test)
•HCG: human chorionic gonadotropin; the hormone that is present during pregnancy and what the HPT's and blood test measure to determine if you are pregnant
•HTH: "hope that helps"
•HPT: home pregnancy test; a urine pregnancy test you can take at home
•IMHO: "in my humble opinion"
•IMO: "in my opinion"
•IUI: intra-uterine insemination
•IVF: in vitro fertilization
•KU: knocked up
•LH: leutenizing hormone; the LH surge is what is measured by the OPKs; this hormone signals the egg to burst from the ovary
•LP: luteal phase; the phase of your cycle that begins just after ovulation and continues for 10-18 days, ending with the start of your next period; during the LP, your body continues to build up the lining of your uterus, and produce hormones which would support a pregnancy; this is the time when a fertilized egg can implant into the uterine lining
MBFP Mystery big fat positive- When you see a BFP in someone’s chart but they haven’t announced it yet
•NFP: Natural Family Planning; similar to FAM, but with abstinence during the fertile period
•O, Oing, Oed: ovulation, ovulating, or ovulated
•OPK: ovulation predictor kit; tests for presence of LH surge that usually precedes ovulation by 12-48 hours; these tests are quite expensive and not always accurate (if you take medication or depending on your age); these are optional when charting with FF, but if your fertility data is not clear it can bring more light and help interpret difficult cases
•OS: Ovusoft; charting software based on TCOYF
•PCOS: polycystic ovarian syndrome (a fertility problem)
•PG: pregnant
•PIAC: pee in a cup
•POAS: pee on a stick
•RE: reproductive endocrinologist
•SA: semen analysis
•SH: "sweet husband"
•SO: "significant other"

This is my first real month of charting and I am so confused. This morning my temp made a huge spike. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or what. But what confuses me is that fertility friend hasn't shown that I've O'd at all. My temp dropped on CD12 and has continued to rise each day since. So shouldn't I assume that I O'd on CD12? My average cycle length is only 25 so CD12 would make sense??? I expect AF around 03/15. I just really expected fertility friend to give me crosshairs or something when I entered today's temp. Maybe I'm just not understanding how it works quite right yet. If this has anything to do with it, I haven't entered much CM because I haven't really noticed all the much of it yet. Just confused!! :o

As for me, unfortunately, other than a weird "pulling" sensation on my left side the last two days which made it uncomfortable to lie on that side while trying to fall asleep, no FPS for me so far -- who would have thought that I would be wishing and hoping for some nauseau or tender bbs . . .:rolleyes:

I don't know how I am going to hold out until Friday to test -- charting has made me much more impatient than usual (which is really hard to do;)).

I think I am going to leave the + opk result out because this is also my first month using them and I'm not 100% sure that I'm doing it right. So for now I'm guessing I'm 3DPO!

Hi ladies.

Ilovemygeek, congrats! A H&H 9 months! I'm so happy for you!

Sorry no other SO's right now. I'm not in a very chatty mood. Yesterday spot appeared, even though I'm taking the progesterone supplements and should not be getting AF. I have no idea what's going on. My doc said that it's possible that it's implantation spotting, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I'm going to keep taking the supps and will take another HPT tomorrow and go for a blood test on Wednesday. For now, I'm keeping a close eye on things! So far, it's only very light pinky spotting on the tp, with barely any more on the pantiliner.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me ladies. I hope to not be out of the running just yet.

Since I missed my CD14 temp, it doesn't look like fertility friend will every show crosshairs. I'm putting in phantom temps for the future just to see what it does and nothing... I'm so aggrivated. Saturday morning I woke up only to find that my dog ate my thermometer that was on my nightstand. So I had to go out and buy a new one. I really needed that temp! I wanted crosshairs on my first real cycle at least. <<insert pouty face>>

Chris~n~Jen, I can't understand why FF won't give you crosshairs with another high temp for tomorrow. That really sucks that your dog ate the thermometer! I worry about that sometimes too, but mine is too short to reach the bedside table! ;) I would keep the positive OPK in, and maybe with a few more days of high temps they will give you crosshairs. The CM data also does help to correlate your O if you have it. Do you have your interpretation settings on advanced?

My temps are just crazy this month. I had a huge jump yesterday, but I think it was because I had been awake for about 30 min before I took it, my dog was jumping around on the bed and woke me up. It was back down to normal today. I wonder if there could be any such thing as an implantation jump instead of a dip? Just wishful thinking I guess! :) Still no real FPS yet, although my BB's did feel a little tender yesterday.

Me? CD7. I called my Dr. today about the on/off light AFs. A nurse called me back and I am going March 20 for a CD 21 blood draw to be sure I am Oing (I know I am by my very clear charts but she didn't seem to care). I am wondering if it is possible not to O strong enough (i.e. actually ovulating, but not enough progesterone to sustain a fertilized egg). The progesterone is what they will check for. After that, she said the next step is for DH to go for a SA...woo hoo. He will be *thrilled* to hear that! So, even though we haven't made it to the year mark, I guess the infertility ball is rolling.

In other exciting news, I got my Preseed in today! Maybe that will help and we won't have to go for further testing! It came with 2 free HPT strips, so I am sure that will feed into my mania.

Also now that I have made it to the 2nd trimester, heard the heartbeat, and seen our little munchkin on the ultrasound I don't think I need the OPK's and PG test's that I have left so if anyone wants them send me a PM with the info on where to ship them to. I can promise you that I will only use the info to ship the test's and then i will discard it. all of the test's have a exp. date of 10/06 or later but i don't plan on having another child for at least 4 yrs so they are useless to me. the first person to contact me will get them.

WOW, I put in my temp this morning and BOOM, solid red crosshair on CD 18. Which, low and behold, was my b-day. So I was dead on about when I was going to O!! 24 hrs after my first +OPK. I tried removing the +OPKs, but it keeps my O date on the 4th. SOOO, that would make me 3DPO and accorsing to FF Threadmistress, can you please move me to think I Oed. Testing 3/23. Although I don't think I can wait 18 days!!!!

OH, can u ladies take a peek at my chart and overlay and tell me if that really looks like a good temp shift to you??

Question for you ladies. Last month I had a 13 day LP. Do you think Saturday would be too early to test (if my temps stay up, that is)? It would be 11DPO.... MrsR- I am not a chart guru, but I had a pretty big dip at 11dpo and then went back up the next day. The dip on your chart seems pretty minor and hopefully your temp goes back up tomorrow! My fingers are crossed for you!

Okay, now if someone can help me out that would be great because I have read (in TCOYOF) that when you are sick and/or have a fever around the time you are suppose to O that can push back your O and make you O late...anyone with real life charting experience that this has happened to how did you handle it? I am on CD16 and last month I O'd on CD15. Well, I had the usual O pains all day Sunday after having Watery CM the day before and I just knew I'd O either Sunday or Monday but the problem is I started getting sick last week...began with a cough Thursday which turned into a fullfledged sore throat Friday and was accompanied by a fever Sunday. So my temps as you can imagine are a mess and all over the place for the past 4 days. Now that I'm somewhat back to normal I realize I must not have O'ed during all that because my temps are still at low "pre-O" levels (e.g. 97.1 today). Not sure what I should do charting-wise. Suggestions??

I have a question for all you charting experts! ;) I'm on CD17 today. Ever since CD13 my temps have jumped up and stayed up (with a slight decline today). FF is not showing that I O'd yet because I didn't enter a CD14 temp. When I add a temp that is slightly higher than my CD13 temp, I get crosshairs and FF tells me I O'd CD14. Based on the fact that my temps have continued to be high, can I assume that I probably did O around CD14? I know this is an assumption but I'm just hoping that given knowledge of charting someone can look at my chart and tell me that the chances are good/not good that I did O!

Hate to be the newbie with silly questions but it is still confusing to me. :o

Also, how do you guys get you specific situations (ie. gassy, tender breasts) to show on the bottom of your chart? I keep playing around and can't seem to get them to show up.

Funny about the boy thing. We don't really have a preference however, I have thought it would be easier if we had a boy first. We've already got a boy name we agree on and also I've found some boy crib bedding that we both really like. DH would be happy to hear that about the boy thing.

I was confused by my + OPK! This is only my first month using them. I took one yesterday (CD16) and it was a definate -. CD14 looked like it could have maybe also been a +. Not to sure though.

But it does look like I O'd right??? I'm just afraid that I might not O at all! :confused:

aslong as your temps stay highi would say you O'ed...the OPK's can be kinda tricky the 1st few times you use them....I didnt usually out it into my chart util i knew it was absolutley +. I used to get a lot of faints...where there were two lines but one was lighter than the other...I make sure they are very dark lines before i trick myself into thinking I Oed..

Good luck and for what its worth...we want a boy first too...but we'll take whatever God wants to send us...:)

mrsjackson - B6 is supposed to lengthen the LP - not sure why, or how, but I have heard good things about it.

I took the B6 because I never had a LP pass 8 days with out spotting or AF starting. So I would have short cycles about 23 day and short LP. I was on the FF web site and they had a thread of ladies with short LP and they were talking about taking B6. Give me a few mins and I will find it so I can tell you exactly what they said. BRB.

Low Progesterone (High Estrogen) Improvement List:
-------------------------------------------------------------
- Eliminate hormone-treated product (convert to hormone-free milk)
- Take B6 (along with a B-complex for better absorption)
- Increase B6 and magnesium to help the liver break down estrogen better
- Eat more cruciferous veggies as they are estrogen inhibitors (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussels)
- Eat non-DDT'ed fruits/veggies (garden? organic?)
- Lose weight (estrogen is stored in fat)
- Eat more whole grain fiber (the longer your stool stays in your intestines, the more estrogen will be absorbed from treated food)
- Eliminate light sources while sleeping
- Reduce intake of soy products
- Reduce exercise if you exercise a lot (intensive exercise has been shown to shorten the LP)
- Avoid non-polyethylene plastic wrap and containers (especially on fatty foods - meat, cheese, cream); do not heat foods in plastic or styrofoam
- Take 500mg of Vitamin C
- Take Vitex which helps regulate hormones/cycle (some of us have had bad reactions to this supplement)
- Have your thyroid checked - TSH, free T3 and T4. Hypo(low)-thyroid conditions can result in low progesterone and can be corrected with thyroid medication.
- Add NATURAL progesterone during luteal phase (prescription or lotion): suppositories, Crinone and Prometrium are the most common forms of NATURAL progesterone. Provera is NOT natural, it's synthetic and should not be used for TTC/pregnancy
- Take Clomid

Sorry I have been MIA for so long. While I am still charting I am trying to not be as obsessive about TTC as I have been in the past. Anyway a lot has been going on since I have been in here which I guess is a good thing as I haven't been about to think about TTC as much. I have gotten an OPK + the last two days so I know 'O" is right around the corner. Of course the jabbing pain I am feeling on my right side as we speak is a good indication too ;) .

I am trying to keep stress to a minimum. Of course working isn't helping me in that area. On the home front, 2 weeks ago we found out that our homeowner association property manager has been taking money from us (complex). On top of that she has terminal cancer (or at least that is what she says..we don't know for sure..not that having cancer should be an excuse for taking our money). We are trying to obtain our records from her office but three scheduled attempted/planned meetings with her (which she had scheduled) have failed (she never showed). The HA's bank account has been frozen because there is an overdraft. HA board called the people that we could possibly owe money to (electric,plowing, garage etc) and we owed them all with most of them being from last october through this month:eek: . At least she paid the homeowners property insurance because that is a big chunk. She manages other properties as well and they are in the same situation we are. Anyway, luckily the HA's liability insurance will cover the losses. We just need to figure it out and without the records we can't so that. She may have been stealing from us for years.The sheriff and a lawyer have been contacted. What a mess. HA is going to hire a forensic auditor as well. Now you can see why I haven't been able to think about TTC as much this cycle.

On a good note, we are leaving March 18th for Curacao (island governed by the netherlands) for a week. It is near Aruba. I didn't even know where it was till my husband suggested going there. Anyway we will be there during the time that I will be testing so I am need to decide if I want to bring any pregnancy tests or just wait till I get home. Any thoughts? I do plan on at least taking my temp while I am there though.

So I am 4 DPO and I am already obsessing over PG symptoms, even though I know implantation probably hasn't even occured yet. I'm gassy as hell, and that's probably the only symptom noticable enough to report. But then again, I'm always gassy right before AF, so who knows. The fact that I Od on CD 18 makes mfeel a little better about my LP. Last cycle it was only 9 days. But if I go 30 days (assuming I'm not pg) that would push it to 11 days. SOOO, that's at least something hopeful.

I want to assume I'm PG, I really can't stop thinking about it. Last night DH and I were watching the news and I asked hyim how we should surprise my parents if we find out I'm PG. He said I should stop thinking about it until I get a BFP. Yeah, good luck there. But at least he's not feeding into my craziness. I need his stability right now.

11 DPO for me today and a temp rise (which could be due to the fact that I recall tossing and turning about 1/2 hour before my alarm went off). I tested and got a BFN. However, for my obsessing pleasure today, I did see at one end of the window where the second line should have been a slight amount of light pink -- about the size of a pinhead (you probably would not have seen it unless you were looking for it). It is probably nothing, but still gives me hope that maybe it was the start of a line . . . I am going to try to hold off testing again until Friday . . .

charliez- I haven't gone in for a blood test. I have taken 4 HPT's and they have all been positive so I am trusting those right now and the fact that my temp has stayed up. I will try to make an appointment with my regular doctor today to go in for a pregnancy test with them. I don't know if they would do blood or urine...not sure. I don't have an OB-GYN so I am on the hunt for one now. I hope your 2WW goes by quickly!

Argh - looks like this won't be our month afterall :mad:

I'm on CD8 and things have been looking reasonably good...I have pretty consistent cycles, and have been drinking green tea, so EWCM showed up for the first time Mon night. I was away on business so I teased DH that as soon as I got home it was time to kick it into gear :D (I still think it's early b/c in 13 cycles of charting, I've only O'd before CD18 once, but still...)

So yesterday I start coughing...and by the time I'm on my way home last night, I feel miserable. I get home, and have a temp of 102!!!! I took some Tylenol & some Advil a couple hours after that, and by the time we went to bed, was feeling better. I still can't believe it, but we BD'd last night despite my ridiculous cough - and it was DH's idea - guess he's getting into this baby thing too :D

So I coughed all night and my temp was back at 100.6 this morning...so I called the dr. Turns out I have PNEUMONIA!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it!?!?!?! :eek: And, of course, b/c it's so bad, we have to stop TTC b/c of the antibiotic they're putting me on. So now I'm hoping 2 things...(1) that I don't O early & end up pg from last night...and (2) that being sick pushes my O date out far enough that we still have a chance. Based on my history, it's possible - 10 days puts me at CD18, which would be on the normal/early side for me...

Sorry this was so long........I still can't believe I'm so sick :( Sorry for no SO's - just had to tell you all what's going on. I'll be back once I wake up again...

I hope you guys don't mind, but DH sometimes gets a little testy if I spend TOO much time online... and I've told him that I would of course tell him if we get pregnant before I tell "all those people online" (I'm on a few other forums too)... and I might want a few days to plan a special way to tell him... SOOOOO.... my chart is delayed. I update it every day so everyone can stalk it, but it's about a week behind. If I do get a BFP then I'll post soon after letting DH know and I won't make you all wait the whole 7 days for my chart to update, LOL.

Brief history - you can see a "summary" of my cycles if you click on my chart. I had long cycles and short luteal phases right off the pill. 2 full cycles ago I started Vitex from AF to O and I O'd on day 22 that cycle. Then on day 16 the next cycle and also had a 12-day LP, the longest EVER. I have high hopes and good feelings for this cycle and am trying to keep a positive attitude.

Last cycle I was frustrated w/ the no-pattern CM I was having, so I didn't chart it at all, or even check it or anything. I did have some noticable discharge (enough to reach my panties) around days 15 and 16 so I'm relatively sure that I O'd on those dates. We skipped TTCing last cycle b/c of a personal business trip that I need to take in October, but the trip could have been rearranged and now I'm wishing that we HADN'T skipped that cycle, but what can I do now, right? And now I have a complication this cycle too... DH is on track to earn a trip to Mexico in December... so if we get pg this cycle then we probably won't get to go on that. I really want to go on the trip, but I want a baby more. LOL. DH was excited about the possibility of the trip but when I asked him if he would be sad about not going b/c of having a baby, he was like "I'll tell them that they can go ahead and go have fun in Mexico... I'm having a baby." :P So sweet.

Anyway baby dust to everyone and congrats to the recent BFP's. :)

MrsJackson....I don't know what the spotting could be. I never get spotting except right before/after menses but never when it isn't expected.

MrsR...Good Luck with the testing. Fatigue is a very good sign.

Really running behind this morning. I just couldn't get out of bed. Anyway TCOYF is showing that I ovulated yesterday. I think we have a pretty good chance this cycle. We will BD one more time tonight for good measure. Still debating whether I should test while on vacation or wait till we get home. It would be really great to tell DH I am pregnant while looking at a beautiful sunset.

So, I had a bit of a temp drop this AM....it's still well above the coverline - but fingers crossed that it stays steady or goes back up :) I think my chart looks fairly promising (what do you ladies think?), but the temp drop this AM has me nervous. I have sore bbs and I'm tired, but that could just be PMS. Who knows!!!!! I guess only time will tell.

Well ladies I am truly perplexed. 12 DPO for me and a slight temp rise today. Of course that meant I POAS. BFN:mad:. I am really not sure what is up. Last cycle I began temping around 5 days before AF arrived just to do some "trial runs". My temps were waaay lower then they are right now (around 97.5ish). Both today and yesterday when I woke up I was noticeably warm so maybe that is why I had a temp jump yesterday and it stayed up today. I just don't know. I would think by now if I was PG the HPT would be positive (I usually get my period 2 weeks from the day of my first peak reading on my monitor which would mean a 14 day LP this cycle since I O'd on the same day).

CD19, 4DPO (if I were to believe FF :rolleyes: )! I feel very gassy today. I am normally a fairly gassy person (although not in a belching way) but today I just feel like I have a ton of gas and I keep mini-belching. I usually don't belch at all! I can count on 1 hand the number of times I have actually burped! Sorry if TMI! So that has my hopes up. Although I'm trying not to put to much stock in it since last month I really had my hopes up because of some FPS that I had going on. My cycles are usually right on. My shortest was 24 days and my longest was 26 days. I'm usually right on 25 days. So if I O'd when FF says I did that would give me a LP of 9-11 days. That really worried me. It's supposed to be closer to 12-16 days right???

What do you girls think?? Should I believe FF and think I O'd on CD15? Looking at my temps, I would think that I O'd on CD12, making me 7DPO and giving me a LP of 12-15. I know that stinkin +OPK is throwing the whole thing off. This was my first month using them so who knows.

I know, I keep asking the same questions! Sorry about that. It's just the question that is rolling around in my head ALL. THE. TIME. :confused:

Chris&Jen - hang in there, there are some things you can only know in retrospect. And I've found without fail that no matter when I O, my LP is always 13-14 days. Remember that stress can make you O later, so maybe the stress of TTC and starting to chart added to that?

Chris~n~Jen I think FF is right without having being able to look at earlier charts. LP are usually pretty consistent from month to month and you may have either Oed later than usually and will still have a 12 – 16 LP meaning a cycle of 25 days or so, or you could have a shorter LP. I wouldn’t worry too much about your LP yet. I know I was worried about only having a 10 day LP, but I had no problem getting pregnant with my daughter.

mrsr - I know it's frustrating to hear this, but hang in there. Everyone's body is different, and 12 dpo can still be too early to pick up the hCG hormone. what brand of HPT are you using? I would also pick up some digital tests if you don't have them already. your chart looks great, so just try to be calm!!

Quick Question -- how late is too late for spotting to be implantation spotting??? I ask becuase I just went to the bathroom and tmi alert I had weird pink blood when I wiped (it was almost peach colored -- not really the color when I spot before getting AF). . . I am 12 DPO -- I thought implantation spotting occurred between 7-10 DPO

lawgirl -- sorry, we cross posted. Yesterday and today I used the First Response Early Result tests. However, I guess if what I am seeing now is implantation spotting, that would be why the tests are coming back -. Of course, this just could be the start of AF, however, when I spot before AF comes, it is usually tmi alert red and brown.

I do have some Clearblue Easy Digital test which claim to be an early detection test. Maybe I will use those tomorrow . . .

Mrs R - we appear to be in the same boat I used the exact same test the First Response and got a BFN this am. and yesterday (there were 2 test in the box). I have no AF feelings or cramping, no spotting just 2 stinking' BFN!

I don't have a choice but to just sit here and wait. I am getting tried of the 2WW I have no idea how I will be able to wait 9 months :)

Nothing new here. We had a lunch rush at the bank today and there was me and one other teller... drive thru was backed up and each of us had a long complicated transaction (which I later found out that I could have sent mine over to one of the personal bankers but when he first came in there was NOBODY here, in the lobby or drive thru at all) and the lines just kept backing up and some people got annoyed. But it was all ok in the end. They didn't fire me yet, LOL. My chart is still just plugging right along.

MrsR- I have heard that implant can happen that late...and i know a few people who didnt get a BFP until 14DPO and then my aunt who never got a BFP HPT...only a + blood test and that wasnt until 5 weeks. LEGE: I feel your pain...what started a week ago today as a cough and turned into a sore throat by Friday accompanied by a nearly 102 degree fever and achy body by Sunday couldn't have come at a worse time. Sunday was CD14 (last cycle I O'd on CD 15) and I could tell my body was trying to O because all day Sunday on top of the achiness of the fever I had the achy abdomen from O pains. I actually asked the question a few pages back about what to do with charting when that happens because clearly my temps from CD 13-15 were helter skelter! I wonder if it dried up my EWCM? I have no clue if I ended up O'ing or if my body will try to do it again this weekend or something? *sigh* Anyone been in this situation before? What did you do?

Big question. I am 5 DPO and I really have no clue weather or not i might be PG. DH and I were going to go out to dinner for my b-day this weekend since we were quite broke last weekend. So we were gonna go to Red Lobster tomorrow night. I have been absolutly craving crab and lobster. So I was talking about it with DH tonight talking about if we should meet there after i get off work or go together. And then i suddenly realized, i might be PG, I can't have seafood!!! So here's my question. If I am 5DPO and possibly there hasn't even been implantation yet, is it ok to have seafood?? Our second option is Tony Roma's for ribs, but i really want lobster. Any advice?? Should I stay far away from it (even though i should anyway cuz it's totally going off my diet!!)? TIA

charliez- I have never heard about not having seafood, except for something weird like shark or something, because of possible mercury??? I donno, but I never thought going to Red Lobster would be bad.

I haven't updated in a while. It is CD 10 today and I have felt really down about TTC. Usually by this time in my cycle I am all optimistic and gearing up for BD fest and all but I am really not and just kinda feeling sorry for myself now (how pathetic is that???). Today I had some....goo...It's the closest thing I have ever had to EWCM. It was nice and stretchy, but more like rubber cement than egg whites. I promptly went to walley world and bought some Equate brand Robitussin, in case it was just thick EW. My temp also went up again today. I am really really hoping I didn't O really early cuz we BD'd once 2 days ago.

I am also going to baby classes next week with my 7month pg best friend. I hope I can be non-emotional!!

charliez- we are cycle buddies i am 5DPO too...i say have the lobster...it will be fine...i have never heard any dr say stay away from seafood , i have heard about raw fish and tuna or fish with high mercury levels but not all seafood. Have the lobster...our babies havent even had time to implant yet ;)

OK, I know i've asked this before but now i'm really confused, so i need to ask again. If I wake up earlier than usual and temp, do I ADD 1/10th for every half hour up to my usual time, or subtract? The reason I ask is DH had an alergy attack around 6:45 this morning. I usuually don't temp until 8 am, but as soon as I opened my eyes at 6:45 I knew I probably wouldn't fall back asleep. I took my temp, it was 97.73. I rolled over to check on DH and he was already asleep again, so i went back to bed. When the alarm went off at 8, I temped again and it was 97.48!!. Way down and now I don't know which one to use. Any insite??

I didn't expect to O for 2 more days based on all my history, but after looking at last months chart (first good cycle after BF my daughter) I should have expected this earlier O. I, like many of you, got really sick (strep throat) at the beginning of my cycle and have been on antibiotics. I remember that before we were TTC that antibiotics could negate BCP, so here's hoping it makes me more fertile!! :) Do I have any cycle buddies this time to obsess with? I'm 4 DPO today. Hey ladies. Sorry I went MIA all week. Monday and Tuesday I was just feeling really down and angry at my stupid body for again not doing what it's supposed to. And then Wednesday and yesterday I had so many meetings that I was out of the office more than I was here! Anyway, here's a quick update:

The spotting continued, even though I was still taking the progesterone supplements. I got a BFN on a blood test on Wednesday and stopped taking the supplements then. Yesterday AF showed for real. Tomorrow I start my last round of Clomid, and I'll have an u/s on Monday 3/20 and IUI the day after (assuming my follies are good to go). If the Clomid/IUI doesn't work this month we're going to move to injectables. Sigh.

I'm going to go back and catch up a bit to see what you all have been up to. I'm going away tomorrow for a week, so I won't be around, but will be thinking of all of you! Hugs!

It's always good to see your two cents, Polkadot! Thanks for checking out my chart! I'm determined not to test til AF is late. Otherwise, as my mom tells me, "it's just a waste of money!" LOL! According to FF, I should test on Monday, but I think if I don't see AF, I'm going to hold out til Tuesday or Wednesday. I told DH AF wasn't even due til Thursday, because he gets antsy and usually makes me test too early.

I had many days of spotting and then what appeared to be the start of AF - but then the next day, just very light spotting. so keep on testing - you never know what your body is doing, and it is rarely textbook-perfect!

Hey ladies -- just a quick flyby as I am here in Florida at my mom's house and not much time for CC. Anyway, I had a pretty big temperature drop yesterday and what I thought was the start of AF.

Since I thought the witch had arrived, I left my HPTs and thermometer at home and brought tampons with me for my week here in the sun. However, I may not be out yet. TMI ALERT We were driving to Florida so before we left I switched my "stuff" and there was almost nothing there. Better yet, 8 hours later when we arrived in Florida, I still had no AF and no more spotting, so we shall see. AF is due to arrive today so if she does not come by tonight, I will be going to the drugstore to buy some HPTs.

I used the CVS brand test....purple cap....the one that gets the + in it if you are PG. I got a faint up and down line in the + :) I think it was the "generic CVS" brand of the FRER or EPT.

I'm going to hit Target tonight to pick up another box of HPTs. I think I'm going to get the digital one so there is no question!

Ok, I'm having another crisis. Awhile back, I purchased some IC OPK's. They arrived, and I've been using them since AF left the building. I have gotten very negative results from all of them.

This morning out of the blue, I decided to dig in my bathroom cupboard, to see what I could find for left over tests. Anyway, I found an Answer OPK.

I of course *had* to pee on it. And suprisingly, it came up pretty darn positive if you ask me.

Has anyone else had this happen? Why are my Internet Cheapies not showing anything, and the answer's are? Doesn't that seem strange? Or is it just me?

Should I just go ahead and assume that I'm going to be O'ing soon, and BD as much as possible? I'm sure that will be the answer I get, but with my DH it's hard to get him to cooperate sometimes if I call my O date wrong. Too much BD'ing before I O could cost me in the long run. :rolleyes:

pocahontas, sometimes sickness delays o-ing and sometimes it will mask the temp rise so it's unclear what day you DID o on. I haven't been sick around o-ing though.

charliez, you have probably already eaten your seafood but I just wanted to reiterate what the others have said, that most seafood should be OK and it's just the mercury that is a concern w/ some of the fish. About sleeping and the temps, the book says that if you wake up earlier then your temp will be lower and if you sleep in then your temp will be higher.

Jessica, i've had that snotty, rubber cementy CM too in my first cycle or two off the pill, and I eventually decided that it was sticky.

Hi to anyone I missed.

I had a weird dream last night.... dreamed that my boobs were two different sizes. Yeah I know that most women have two slightly different sized boobs ANYWAY, but my left boob was normal and my left was sortof... deflated. LOL. Like if you had blown up a balloon, left it blown up for a while, and then let all the air out, but the deflated balloon is still a little stretched out and not all "new" like a never-been-blown-up balloon... THAT is what I dreamed my right boob was like. LOL. It was so tiny. It was also sortof like a "new" boob... like when you were a teen or preteen and first started developing... it was a little training bra boob. But my left boob was normal so who knows. :P

Anyway hope that gave a laugh to some of you. :) I sewed up a bunch of maternity clothes a couple of weeks ago... I was really on a roll with it. I haven't done any more sewing lately but I did finally manage to buy the bridesmaid's dress fabric. (I am going to be in a wedding in May and I'm the only attendant and am going to make the dress). I am going to sew it out of regular fabric first though in case I need to make any fitting adjustments. But I need to finish DH's pants first... he bought a few secondhand a while back but they all needed to be hemmed. I hemmed one pair finally the other day but it looked a little short, and it was but only by an inch or so... it looks good if he stands up but turns into high waters if he sits down. I think I am going to order some fabric this weekend too and try to get motivated to finish both the "fitting shell" bridesmaid's dress and the REAL bridesmaid's dress before that fabric comes in. So I need you all to cheer me on w/ that. :P

My cycle is plugging right along. No, I won't give you any hints about where I REALLY am... you all will just have to wait to catch up. :P Although I am thinking that the CM on the chart is just some of AF's old luggage that she left at my house. :P There is just too much of it for this early in my cycle to be "real" CM ya know?

I did manage to get a couple of thank you notes sent out to state senators today though. Our state says that midwifery w/o a CNM credential is a felony and groups have been trying to get it changed the past few years... we are making great progress this year. :) I sent DH's and my Christmas pic in w/ the TY notes. :P

OK, so I'm 7DPO and I am really anxious. I am not really having any symptoms, per se...I've had some food aversion, but i think it just has to do with eating the same Jenny Craig food every week, i'm getting sick of some of it. I switched up my menu at my appt today, hopefully that will help. I've also been having some mild cramping today. Not AF cramps, but just little bursts of tightening. Like when you clench your fist. When I talked to my GF this morning, she said she thought it could be implantaiton cramps, but i don't know how much i believe in that. Like i'm having it right now on my left side. I've also been extreamly hungry lately. I ate at 5 and by 7 I was starving again. I am trying to tell myself this is all in my mind. Lets hope it's not.

Hey ladies, not sure what is going on, but I tested w/the digital this AM....Not PG? I'm really confused - there was definitely a line there yesterday, albeit faint....my temp was still steady this am too. :confused: I just poked around the pee on a stick website - it looks like the CVS brand has a 25miu sensitivity and the clearblue has a 50 miu sensitivity. Maybe thats it?

Oh and I can post a picture of my test from yesterday - but the line has gotten much darker since yesterday so I don't think its a true representation of what I saw yesterday AM.

Okay, I myself am very confused. I am not sure if what I am experiencing now is spotting or light AF. Usually when AF starts, my first day is pretty much "full on" -- maybe I spot in the am but by mid day, there is a "flow". I also never really spot any day before AF. As you all know, I have very light spotting on Thursday. Friday I slightly more spotting than Thursday, but really nothing much there. Yesterday (the day AF was due to arrive as I normally get AF 2 weeks after 1st peak reading (giving me a 14 day LP this cycle)), I had some bright red blood, but really not much. I was afraid to POAS this am (even though there was some red blood but not much overnight). I wish I had my thermometer so I would know what was going on:( :( .

I bought a pakage of 3 clearblue easy digital early result HPTs last night and if by mid morning AF has not "fully" arrived, I will be POAS I guess.

I might try and buy another package of the CVS brand after church today and use that tomorrow AM.

eta: I tested last month w/the other test in the package and it was definitely negative - the only line in the result window was the one that always shows up. Yesterday the second line showed up after 1 minute! I just asked DH if I imagined the other line yesterday and he said no, there was definitely one there. Why do I feel like I am losing my mind!?!?

I'm on 12 DPO and my LP is usually around 13-15 days.

Beth, sorry the digital gave you a Not. I would test tomorrow w/ another "regular" test and then do the digital on Tuesday if tomorrow's is still positive.

MrsR, sorry the spotting/possibly light AF is making you anxious... I hope it is just spotting and in the next few days it stops and you get a BFP.

Beth, The digital tests are not as sensitive, so I would assume that is why you got a BFN. Give it a few days and try the digital again. Good luck! :)

Beth- you know, I ALMOST posted to you yesterday when you mentioned getting the digitals that I wouldn't just yet. If you are getting a faintish line on the more sensitive ones, I am not surprised that the digital didn't register for you. You are SO pregnant, girl! Be happy and enjoy it!!! If you (or your DH) must see the "pregnant" wait a few more days, maybe take a regular one and make sure you get a dark line first! Congrats!

Sorry about weird AF (or whatever) Mrs. R. I have had really light, weird periods lately too. It wasn't that way until a couple of months off of BC. It's frustrating! I just know if/when I am pg, I will have spotting and by then I will be so used to it that I will probably call it AF!

Jess, yeah, i do have that "feeling". A lot more than last month or the month before. In fact, i don't think i really had it before. i think i kinda knew that i wasn't before. But i just want it so bad right now. I went out to lunch with my GF today and i was asking her a million questions...about BF and diapers, and solid foods and sleeping patterns. She was just laughing at me and answering all my questions. We stopped by CVS on the way home and I bought one of those quick answer HPTs. It says it can detect up to 4 days before your period. But I already have a short LP as it is (9-11 days) so i dunno if it will work for me. My friend said take one tomorrow morning, and one on Wed if I don't have AF by then. *takes a deep breath*...ok...i'm chilling out.

On another note, when we were looking at PG tests, i saw this test where you pee in the cup, and it gives you the reading directly off the cup!!! I thought that was so cool, i had never seen that before.

Chris-n-Jen- My temp drops like a day after AF shows, but I have seen several charts that it drops pretty good the day before AF shows. Mine drops a little at a time but some have a steep drop. I just think everyone is different. My 1st charting cycle I thought something was wrong because what I thought was AF showed up and I didn't have a drop for a couple of days.

I had to ask someone at FF to take a look at my chart and she told me that I 'O' later in my cycle. So that could possibly be the reason for all the BFN it is just too early. Now I have strange creamy spotting. What more now gggrrrr.

So now FF moved my test date to the 21st and I am Possibly 10 DPO. I removed an ovulation predictor early in my cycle and got solid cross-hairs. I have no clue what is up. :rolleyes:

It was such an awful day- I had to go to a baby shower where there were 2 infants, tons of other kids and the pregnant mom! Then last night we went out for my brother's birthday, so I had a nice big martini. :) Made me feel a little better. Sorry for whining- I'll stop now!

Hey ladies! I just had to respond to 2 questions going on here based on my BFP cycle...

1) charliez--I tested BFN at 9 DPO with an Internet Cheapie during my BFP cycle. Don't lose hope because of a - at 8 DPO!

2) Internet Cheapies vs. CVS HPTs--I used BOTH the day of my BFP (14 DPO). The IC took FOREVER to come up while the CVS test came up as soon as the urine wicked up the test. So they SAY they're 25 miu, but I don't really think they are.

Jen, my temp usually drops the same day that AF starts, but still above my coverline by a couple tenths of a degree. Then after AF is here it takes a few more days to fully drop below the coverline.

Ok... I've made a blog for my cats. andreaspets.blog-city.com is the site. And keeping w/ the "p" theme (my blog is andreaspencil on the same site), whenever we have children I'll probably do andreasprogeny or something. :P

Ok it started getting too weird to refer to my chart being 7 days behind so it's updated now. lol. But, if I ever ovulate then i'll probably put it on "pause" at about 9 DPO and leave it on pause until I either tell DH about a pregnancy or until AF comes. The CM noted on it is VERY scanty. I seriously have to scrape everything from an internal check together to get one drop. I am drinking a ton of green tea but nothing's happening. I tried it cycle before last at a good-sized cup/day and didn't notice anything. If I ovulate before this Friday and we find out we're pg by the 31st, then we will be able to tell DH's parents in person b/c they are coming up that weekend. :D I'm excited about that possibility b/c they live 5 hours away. Then again this cycle may be another bust b/c of my non-CM-producing cervix no matter WHAT kind of carrots or juice or tea or whatever I take.

My sis found out today that her second baby is going to be another boy. She is going to have another C-section and get her tubes tied at the same time she says. She was wanting a girl but my BIL is ecstatic about having another son.

Hi ladies...I haven't posted since my introduction, but damn, this thread moves fast! :eek:

I have a question for y'all, since this is my first month charting (and I'm not so good at it!). For those of you that wake up at different times on the weekend than you do during the week, do you still wake up at the same time just to temp and then go back to bed? Or do you just temp later. I didn't do so hot this weekend since Saturday I was way hungover (I'm usually not a drunk but the last 2 weekends have not been so good!) and I forgot to temp (not that it would have mattered since I drank so much the night before), and then I forgot again on Sunday.

I haven't been good at figuring out the whole CM thing yet, so I'm not even sure I got it right on my chart. After looking at other peoples' charts, mine (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/11fb25) looks pretty funky...temps are all over the place, although it does say that I O'd on CD13. Apparenty, I'm on DPO5. Another question I have is how much is a "normal" temp jump after O'ing?

The other thing I haven't gotten good at is recording when we actually BD. I can't even remember if we did it when we should have (like I said, not a great month to start charting)!!

Oh...and one more question (for now), is it normal to have a big dip on the day of O'ing? Or was that just a coincidence that I did?

Polka I'm sorry hunny. I think it is possible that you Oed way earlier than you though, but either way, it doesn't help how you feel now. Keep your chin up , doll. mrs_pell I set my alarm for 8am every morning. I usually fall back asleep on the weekends after I temp. My thermometer holds up to 5 temps so i can turn it back on and get that mornings temp when i'm ready to put it in ff. Sometimes, during the week, if i was up before the alarm (assuming it's only about an hour early) i'll take it then cuz a lot of times i can't fall back asleep. Just make sure you note the time in FF.

So the gas and constipation continues. PG symptoms or not, i'm getting tired of this. I sit at my desk, all day, having to blast a fart. I finally get off the call with my client, sneak to the bathroom....and nuthin....the farts only wanna come out when i'm gonna fumigate the whole department, not when i'm alone in a stall!!! I don't know if i really consider this a symptom, i'm sceptical and i don't want to get my hopes up.

Last night i had what felt like O pains first on the right side, then on the left. This morning I have dull AF cramps. I'm also bloated. SOOO, this may not be the month. I resisted every urge and didn't test this morning. Thursday is the day. and i'm thinking in my head "but what if I get AF by thursday" like it's not even clicking in my head that would mean BFN!!! DUH!!! i have such baby on the brain.....

Well, I saw the doctor again yesterday, and the good news is they added some other medications for me that seem to be working - I feel better this mornign than I have in a week. The bad news is it's another drug that I can't get pg on...12 days of it starting yesterday. So now I'm almost positive that I'll be out for this month :-( Although the good news is that I havent' O'd yet, and havent' seen any more EWCM, so hopefully my body is hibernating & will O once I'm off all the drugs...................I'm on CD18, and ususally O b/t CD18-21. I'm sure it will be late now, but it's just seeing HOW late...

CD24, 9DPO! I did have a slight temp rise (.1) this morning. However I have been having AF like cramps since yesterday and this morning my bbs are really sore. So I'm totally expecting her to show either today or tomorrow. I've only ever once had a cycle last to CD26, I'm always 24 or 25. DH was very supportive this morning and told me not to be to upset if AF showed. We would just keep trying even harder next month. I do feel like I had much more control over what was happening with my body now that I am charting. It is also intersting to see that I O'd much later than I always thought I did. So I'm learning a lot and that is a good thing. :cool:

i have officially begun the tourturing process. I told myself no HPTs today. I already had FMU and I just went to the bathroom and ripped into another one. SOOOOO, i went back and looked at it a few minutes later and it looked like only 1 line....then i looked back and i though I saw like a shadow of another line. Okay, CD4 (I think). My big question is what is the difference between spotting and light AF? I think I was technically more than spotting on Saturday but (tmi alert) since I used a tampon as I was expecting AF, I am not sure. One day won't make a huge difference but since I normally spot in the morning AF is due to arrive and then she comes "full force" later that day, I have never had to make a call one way or the other for purposes of my fertility monitor. . . .

TMI ALERT....6DPO and I have tons of CM. Not quite sure what is up with that but I have had a lot for the last two days. No sharp pains but I do have mild cramping which isn't anything new during my 2ww. I am just trying to stay in control. We are leaving on Saturday for Curacao so at least I have something to keep my mind off of testing. I am only going to bring two hpt's on vacation so I will be less likely to test till next week (if AF doesn't show of course) knowing that I have only two chances to test before we get home. How long after you stopped BCP did your period go back to the way it was before?

Before the pill i had very heavy flow...bad cramping and always felt like my insides could fall out...sometimes i couldnt get out of bed it usually lasted 6-7 days.During the pill my flow was light and only lasted 3-4 days.Now i think i am back to the way it was before...sorry for this but my flow i so heavy right now...its unbelieveable...i feel like i am exhausted and my tummy feels soooo heavy....its very weird...

I think i am going to call the doctor and see if i can get another appt so that i can discuss my LP length since this month it was only 9 days...i usually have 12-13 day LP...i wonder if the m/c had anything to do with all this? I guess i need to ask him that too... ok this is getting long...

polkadot and armadillo, so sorry about AF. She sucks, doesn't she? Polka- I'm thinking what lattee22 said may be right- could you have O'd earlier? That would make your LP 12 days. Another possibility is that your system is still a little off from your chemical pg, making your LP shorter this month. I hope you get some answers!

mrs_pell, I'm chiming in late, but I usually temp at my normal time on the weekends too, then go back to sleep. But if it isn't too near O, I don't worry about it if I happen to sleep in and my chart looks a little funny.

I hardly remember what my AF was like before the pill because I was on it so long. I remember it being much heavier with way worse cramps then. Also TMI alert I used to have tons of clots. It was much lighter with bcp. Since stopping the patch in July, my AF has been just like it was on it, about 6 days still, but pretty light and only 1 day of cramping.

I changed my doctor yesterday to a female family practice doc who I really like- I've worked with her before on our OB unit. I go in next Monday for a physical and I'm going to bring my charts and talk to her about TTC. I'm hoping that maybe she will order at least an SA for my DH, even though it's only been 7 months. Maybe she will have more of an open mind than my nurse practitioner did about charting!

And I'm definitely asking for an acupuncture referral- my insurance will cover it 80% but only with a referral. My SIL swears that acupuncture helped her get pg, so I figure its worth a try.

ptcrn, I had asked my chiropractor about acupuncture for my back (they're an alternative medicine practice, so they have someone on staff who does it) and she seemed to think that it would be great for me later on, not only b/c of my back, but b/c I will be TTC at the end of the year. She said it definitely helped her get pg. And you'd be amazed at how much 80% helps. My 20% is practically just a co-pay amount anyway. Definitely get a referral and hook it up!

Oh, and I'm definitely interested in everyone's responses as to timing after BCP. This is my last AF with BCP. Next week it'll be 100% au natural (or whatever percentage of hormones are left in my body anyway). :p

I am trying to figure out when I should test- I am sort of taking a break, just charting BD'ing and noticeable CM- not going out of my way to analyze it. I'm pretty sure that based on my feeling, and my CM that I O'd around CD18, which would put me at 10DPO. I think my period should probably show in the next few days, if it does.

Nothing much going on here. No soreness but I am having mild twinges in the abdomen (nothing new for me). I did have a temp drop this morning (still above coverline though). ...either an implanation dip or just a fluke secondary estrogen surge (I vote for the fluke surge...trying not to analyze as much). I still have a lot of CM (not the norm for me). I don't have any breast tenderness which is very odd for me. Looking back at my previous charts I always have breast tenderness around 6DPO even when my LP is long like last cycle (12 days). Ok so much for not analyzing. Could I have ovulated later then I thought? Three more days till work is done and I am on my way to warm and sunny Curacao. I can't wait. The weather here while 64 degrees on Monday dropped to 32 degrees with 50 mph winds yesterday/today...brrrrrr. Be back after work. Have a great day ladies!

So yesterday I was extreamly bloated (and gassy, and constipated...like I've been all week) and a little crampy. The cramps could be from the constipation though, so i don't know. For some reason I saw Watery/EWCM. I don't want to enter it into FF cuz it will get rid of my solid crosshairs and make them dotted. Also, my temp went back up this morning. Last cycle, my temps started to steadily drop at 7DPO and I got AF 10DPO. This cycle, no big drops and it keeps going right back up if there is a little drop. I've stepped away from the HPTS. Again, if AF doesn't appear today (or tomorrow moring) I will test again tomorrow morning. If it is still BFN, I will wait a week.

You know how it is when you're pretty sure you've ovulated, but can't get crosshairs to save your life?! Well, that's me today.

I hate the fact that I'm becoming so obsessed with temping that I'm waking up early and tossing and turning before it's time to temp. I think that if I wasn't so worried and stressed about TTC and Charting, that I wouldn't be waking up 15 mintues early because I'm worried that my temp's not going to go up. I guess I'm afraid that I haven't ovulated yet. Because if I haven't ovulated, then I'll have to seduce my DH again.

Don't get me wrong. He's been more than great this cycle so far. I guess that's why I just want my crosshairs so we can relax for awhile.

Maybe I expect to much. Maybe I'm stressed out. Maybe I'm losing my damn mind. I don't know.

Hey girls - I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up with y'all in this thread. I'm really sorry for those of you that have gotten AF. What an evil witch. And congrats to the recent grads of these threads!

I got strep throat right in the beginning of this cycle, so I was on antibiotics for 2 weeks. We had a pretty decent BD schedule, but FF changed my O date from CD14 to CD16. I think I agree with it, but I'm not sure. Last night I got home from a sushi happy hour (got to get it in while I can, right?) and noticed that (TMI) I had to pee VERY badly. I was scared that I was getting a UTI. Then when I did go to the bathroom, I had few drops of light pink spotting on the TP. Do you think this could be implantation? I've never experienced that before. I drank 3 huge glasses of cranberry juice and feel much better today. Well except that I woke up with a sore throat AGAIN!!! So annoying. So I've had 2 FPS this cycle that are different from the previous 4-5: peeing a lot, and my boobs have gotten noticeably larger. Like not only to me, but to others as well. I know its too early - but that little glimpse of hope keeps me going!

ausi2b Sounds promising! I knwo the only month I have ever had mid-cycle spotting (also at 7 DPO) I was pregnant with my daughter. And I did not have spotting when I experienced a CP the month before. To be honest I am PRAYING for spotting tomorrow or the next few days.

Polkadot, how long have you been off BCP? June 2005 was my last pill and so far my AF are still pretty similar to what they were when I was on the pill. I used to go for 7 days of heavy flow. Now my flow is a little heavier than it was when I was on BCP, but it's still short...around 4 days. I'm glad that if I got AF, at least I have a cycle buddy. :) You'll probably be faster than me, since it seems like I've been O'ing late and I have a long LP.

Ugh. I was diagnosed with strep throat AGAIN. The only thing I can think about is that I reinfected myself with my thermometer. I didn't disinfect it from the last time I was sick (only a week ago!!) Do yourselves a favor and learn from my mistake! I'm rubbing it down with rubbing alcohol as we speak!!!

Spotted again tonight ... not sure what is up with that!!! Still pink and a few dots on the TP. I think I'm less upset that I'm sick again and more upset that I probably am screwing up my chances of getting PG this cycle. I mean - how good can it be having a month of antibiotics in my body! Ausi2B...I am so sorry to hear you have strep throat again. I remember one of my co-workers having to take antibiotics when she was pregnant for a sinus infection. I can't remember what they were...maybe she never even told me it was sooo long ago. But anyway everything turned out fine. Did you tell your Dr. that you were TTC? Your chart look very promising ..more then mine does for sure. I never seem to have the major temp elevations that everyone else has. When are you planning on testing?

8dpo today and nothing exciting to talk about. Temp went up to 98.4 after dropping to 98.0 yesterday. Still no breast tenderness although they feel heavy, CM is still very abundant. I am starving this morning even though I had a huge dinner very late last night. I had my cereal this morning but I could eat more...maybe I will. I am also having some gas which is probably just the progesterone increase or it is just what is is...plain old pain in the butt gas! I am not getting excited because I just don't feel pregnant although I felt we had the best shot this cycle that we have had out of all the months we have been trying...oh well. With my first round of Clomid, I have to say it definitely makes it difficult to know exactly what is going on. My temps had been all over the board, I never really got a positive OPK, but I think I did O. I am just waiting another day to find out for sure, even though if I put todays temp in again for tomorrow it gives me O. I was lucky that I still got EWCM and it didn't dry me up. So now I think I am just in the waiting game, but will wait for tomorrows temp. to make sure.
