Meet Griffin! Our new kitten! I went to Petsmart for a new litter box and saw him and couldn't resist. He was abandoned with his little brothers and sisters at 2 days old. The rescue place took them in and only three of them survived, one being him! He reached his little paw out of the cage at me, but I was already smitten by then. He's 12 weeks old!!
Princess is pissed but not as much as I thought. She hissed at him a little and ran off. She's just been watching him from the counter tops. I give her about a week or so and she'll be okay.
Isn't he a cutie?! I can't get him to be still long enough for a real picture!

What a cute kitten and a cute name for such a cute kitten! This is why I stay away from the adoption aisle, or if I do go down it I try to hype of the cats for passers by to perhaps look - "Awwww - that one is SO CUTE!" ;) Congrats!

I'll be darned, the same thing happened to us about 7 months ago!! We went to PetSmart to get more dog & cat food for our two furbabies, and came home with another kitten!! Last time we went in (a week ago) they had a cat that looked exactly like our first one, and I was tempted!! But three animals in the house is enough (and I wouldn't have been able to tell Peanut and Fred apart - it was spooky)!!

Ah, yes, the dangers of the adoption aisle. I swear, we would have come home with a kitten who lost one of it's eyes if there wasn't already a woman convincing her DH to adopt it! I'm sure he went home with them. The poor thing was just so cute and sad, he really needed a home.

Congrats on the new addition, he is a CUTIE......FH says that he HATES when I go to any type of pet store that has animals for adoption. I end up playing with everyone of them and want to bring them all home with me. I then end up crying my eyes out!!

I'magirliegirl, I love your new Griffin (I have a Griffin too, but he's a pupster!) I'm not allowed to visit any rescue/adoption fairs or websites *sigh* We can't have any more pets.
And, Oh! There's a tuxedo cat community?!?!? Won't my Charlie be happy to know that!

She's taking it so much better than I thought she would. Hardly any growling today and no hissing! In fact, she's let him get pretty close (and has gotten close herself) without incident.
He's quite the little jumper. I can't believe the stuff he gets on and off of! I came home tonight and found him on the bathroom counter. He was meowing so I think he might have been stuck up there. But then a minute ago he jumped off the computer desk which is a little higher...so who knows.
He's so adorable.
