I have a couple of blogs I read, and sometime last week porn sites attached themselves to the blog "addresses", so now when I go to read the blog, wonderful porn fills my screen. I don't know how to make it stop. I've cleared my cache, deleted my cookies, deleted my temp files, run scans for virus, spam etc... where do I go from here? This is my work computer!
I'm not going to get in trouble... but I really don't want some one to use my computer and have porn pop up in their face! Actually, I have told the 2 people that might use my computer that I've been having "problems" with porn, so I don't think they would be totally taken by suprise, but I'm the "boss"... so I would rather it not be there at all! :(

You may want to try d/l and running Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. You may have some stuff on there they can remove...

kagbsc7 I already have both of those programs on my computer as well as the microsoft program, in addition to the norton antivirus and spam programs. I have all but 1 set up to run automatically everyday. I have run all of these programs everyday for the last week, in addition to auto runs they do at night.
I'm really at a loss... I don't know what else to try! One of my coworkers told me this morning that he has the same porn sites popping up on his internet pages too.

Google the porn site name...a lot of times you will get some pages from people posting on microsoft or other pages asking for help removing them...I have done this before when my browser was hijacked...

That's a great idea. I am still having problems with it, but DH figured out that it is Java Script. We downloaded Firefox (which he loves, but I was resisting because I was comfortable with IE), and you can disable the Java script on certain websites, or allow it temporarily on some web sites... and that has eliminated my problem with those particular blogs I read. Of course, if I use IE, I still get the porn, but the more I use Firefox, the more comfortable I get with it. But, if someone else is using my computer and they click on IE to get to the web, they will have porn pop up in their face!
I will probably have DH do the googleing, because he will understand the technical stuff much better than I will.

Firefox is great for stuff like that. It does all the work for you eliminating the bad stuff but easily lets you open something if you need it (like ActiveX).

DH helped a lady with a problem similar to this. In internet properties, the homepage was changed to the porn site's address, so everytime IE was launched it pointed to the porn site with like 10 automatic pop-ups. Your problem seems a little more involved, but you may want to double check that your homepage wasn't changed.
Good luck!
