OMG my 4 month old DS just put himself to sleep for the very first time! :eek: Sorry for the silly thread but DH is in meetings all day today and I'm so excited I could BUST! We have a DS that absolutely hates sleep who will only nap in his swing and wakes literally at least 3x's (minimum) a night. That's why this is such a huge accomplishment... I've been feeling as if I'm failing to teach him how to sleep. I nurse him down for naps/sleep and he was yawning and fighting the boob for this afternoon's nap. I plopped him down in his crib, put the Symphony in Motion mobile on, gave him a paci and he's out! It took 25 min, but I'm shocked... he's really asleep. Usually he stares at the mobile and then screams to get out of the crib after about 15 min... I never thought this day would come. Wow... I don't care if he only sleeps for 5 seconds, he did it on his own! I'm so excited I could scream! :D
