Need input - DD's first bday invite

Hi ladies.

I'm making DD's first birthday invitations. We have a watermelon theme going. Here's what I've got so far:

I think I added too many seeds, for one, but without all the seeds it just looks plain. Do you think adding raffia and cutting back on the number of seeds will help it look better? Do I need to try shading along the bottom of the pink part with colored pencil?

alternately, am I just overthinking this too much and it looks fine? ;)
