DH and I have been having a hard time figuring out Easter. Usually we would go home to our families in CT, but now that he works weekends he doesn't want to take the time off. I would like to spend some time with my family, but still make it back in time to spend part of the holiday with DH. I was thinking of suggesting an Easter brunch with my family, and then dinner with DH. If you celebrate Easter, what are your traditions, and how did getting married change them?
I think your idea sounds great!
When I was a kid, I kind of remember having Easter dinner with our extended family (on the early side). Then, and I'm not sure when, it kind of changed to Easter breakfast. Actually, the celebration was breakfast, followed a few hours later by dinner.
When we got married (actually, when we started dating) this worked out perfect. We stay at my parents' on Saturday night, do breakfast with my family after church on Easter Sunday, then head up to DH's aunt's house for early dinner with his family. His aunt lives sort of on our way home (in the general direction anyway), so it all works out.
Easter has become my favorite holiday because of how well it works out with both our families! I joke about how no one is allowed to change anything :)

When I was little, our entire extended family would get together on easter. We'd do both families the same day and just eat like crazy. We'd do easter egg hunts and just hang out.
We stopped doing that when I hit my teenage years though.
Right now DH and I go by one of our families. We choose it by the date of Easter. YSIL's birthday is March 31. My sister's birthday is April 13. Easter is usually around one of their birthdays so we try to kill two birds with one stone.
