How bright is too bright?

DH and I are attending a wedding this Saturday. It's a 5pm outdoor wedding in a meadow/field at a ranch near the ocean. The reception will be in a converted farmhouse at the ranch. The engraved invitations are sage green with deep pink writing.

As usual, I've been agonizing over what to wear. I ordered a dress and showed it do DH last night. His first comment was, "It's bright." I usually wear subdued colors and this dress is a bright floral print. It has pinks and reds and some yellow. So now I'm freaked out that I should be wearing something more subdued and that if I wear this I'll stand out like a sore thumb. My plan was to wear a pale-ish wrap with it.

My question is, does this dress seem appropriate or inappropriate? Thanks.

I think a black wrap would go fabulous with that. Or any other color for that matter. I think it's a cute dress for an outdoor, early evening wedding. Good choice;)
