I'm all paranoid now that I gave up reading spoilers. I was orginally going to just stop reading Lost spoilers but decided not to read Alias spoilers as well. I need a 12-step program!! :p

Just saw tonight's episode... I don't know... the new guy is just not THAT good looking to me. And I don't think the new girl, Rachel, is beautiful either. Something about her... she reminds me of a girl I knew as a kid named "Jill." Ugh, I just dont' have good memories. Too bad.
Some of the "events" of the episode were good though... and the previews make me very curious to tune in next week!

Seriously...Bradley Cooper is one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen! Seriously!!
I thought he looked soooo hot in the episode where Syd had to go find hom in the Witness Protection Program so he could help her with a mission...

Bradley Cooper-- definitely hot... Balthazar Getty-- not AS hot, but growing on me. I loved his interaction with Dixon last night-- and I'm glad to see them paired together.
How much did I LOVE the ending of the show??? Sloane as a bad guy again- ABOUT TIME!
Definitely looking forward to next week....
I loved last night’s episode! Some of my favorite parts:
Preggo Syd gambling/on missions – she is one hot pregnant spy!
The flashbacks of her co-workers that Rachel had when they went to retrieve the hard drive. I thought that was very well done.
More Dixon, yay!
And this one is not so much something I liked about the episode but something DH said to me. When Rachel was in the trunk and Syd asks “Can you find anything useful back there?” And then the camera cuts to Rachel moving around looking for stuff. DH goes, “How about my boobs?” Hehehe.
And two complaints:
No mention or reference to Vaughn at all.
Eh, the escape from the hanging car was not very realistic but really, a lot of things aren’t on Alias
Can't wait for next week!

I'm not! :) I like the suspense of not knowing, and find it's more enjoyable to watch shows when I don't know what may be happening. Over the summer, I read the Alias spoilers but found I'd forgotten the "big one" until after Vaughn was shot. I was glad I'd forgotten because otherwise the scenes wouldn't have had as much "punch."

Okay, I missesd a few minutes of the show last night because I got distracted by a phone call. Can someone tell me how the scenes with Sloan wrapped up last night? I saw him being in some sort of court being questioned by a guy who was very critical of his past criminal behavior...but I think there was one last scene with Sloan toward the end of the show that I missed.
What did he say or do to reveal himself as being a bad guy again?

Some man (I think he may have been part of Gordon Dean's operation - he looked familiar) visited Sloan in jail while he was awaiting the ruling. The man said he knew people who could influence the court's decision and I believe he could buy this influence. In the end, Sloan was released and that plus the look on his face leads me to believe he accepted the mystery man's offer.

OK, it looks like there's agreement that the guy Sloane made a deal with is the same guy working for/with Gordon Dean. So, do you think the money from Sloane will go towards rebuil Dean's operation given the US government seized their funds? Do you think Sloane will become involved with Gordon Dean? Do you think Sloane will be able to get back into APO or the CIA? Even though he was aquitted doesn't mean he's fit to work for the feds!

I'm still really into Alias, but I gotta say I miss Syd doing her kick ass undercover thing. :o
Wouldn't that Senator he threatened be able to turn him in for that? That's what I thought! And Jack seems smarter than this...to completely trust Sloane like he appears to be. He must have something up his sleeve. So where is Rene's real father? Not as good an episode as last week but still great!
Wrighty26
10-28-2005, 05:45 AM
So they switched Renee's father's brain with Dr. Santos'? I'm trying to figure out if I understood that correctly!
I liked the new characters tonight-- especially Thomas Grace (what are they calling him- Grace? Thomas? Tom?). Rachel's interaction with Marshall was really cute, too.
Of course Sloane given clearance for APO annoyed me. Grrr... I definitely think Jack has something up his sleeve though, he's not naive. Especially after that look on his face last week.
I agree that last week's episode was better-- but this week was mainly filler. Yeah, we found out about Dr. Santos, but why is he is important?
KaliLily
10-28-2005, 09:12 AM
I'm hoping Jack doesn't trust Sloane and is "keeping his enem[y] closer." Otherwise, this apparent "blind trust" just doesn't seem like Jack. Come on, Sloane had Jack's daughter's first fiance killed and had an affair with his wife, not to mention all of the heinous illegal deeds he's done from SD-6 to OmniFam to APO! Just because Sloane has a "softer side" when it comes to Nadia does not make him a changed man. Remember last season when we learned of "Jacqueline," his daughter with Emily, who died at birth? Sloane began his Rambaldi crusade because of the loss of Jacqueline! His softer side is what drives him to do these terrible things.

10/27/05 - Jennifer Garner films scenes from 'Alias'
A brave Jennifer Garner continues to film her TV series "Alias" despite approaching the end of her pregnancy. Jennifer can only wear a pair of heels for a short time because her feet and legs have swollen so heavily. She looks even bigger alongside the slender figure of French actress Elodie Bouchez.

I think they should make Elodie Bouchez the next "Sydney," if, in fact, Sydney ends up leaving. She has the attitude for it. As for the new blonde chic (what's her name), if Marshall ever THINKS of leaving (which I hope he doesn't) they could replace Marshall with her, they are portraying her as knowing as much or more than what he understands in the whole "geek electronic" world. If they're wanting her to eventually replace Sydney, I don't see her being all that convincing "undercover." She looks like a 12 year old, at least I thought she did working "undercover" with Dixon in this week's episode (although it appeared fromt the previews they're trying to change that). The new guy is just kinda "blah" to me. He does not even BEGIN to touch the multi-dimensional character Vaughn was. Maybe that will develop though. In order for it to, I think they're going to need to give us a little bit more "insight" into his "private" personal life. Without that, the audience isn't going to "feel" all that much about him, no matter what he looks like. *sigh* I miss the days of seasons one and two. Not that the other seasons have been bad, but the first two seasons... they blew me away.
Still love Victor Garber's role. There is so much involved in "who" he is. What amazing "character" development, and it seems it never ends. Great writing and phenomenal acting! The guy should get an award, IMO.

Loved tonight's episode! :D Yay for Sark coming back. It appears he will hook up with Rachel, yes? I'm all over that, in fact I made that comment to DH when Rachel first arrived on the Alias scene. They would be a HOT couple.
I *think* the Wednesday night is a permanent thing because they said "on it's new night" or something like that.
Syd, Jack, and the crib. Too too adorable!
How cute was Jack when putting together the crib?
That was a great scene. I feel like when I watch the other scenes like Sydney w/ Rachel at her house, it's so forced. It's a waste. She has no friends, which is such an important part of the show.
At first I was glad Nadia wasn't around but I hope they bring her back just so Sydney can have a scene with somebody she has a connection with other than Jack.

Now that it looks like Kitchen Confidential will be getting cancelled, I hope they find a way to bring Bradley Cooper back to Alias. I remember reading sometime ago that she was contracted for seven seasons.
That's what I thought. I hope they turn the show around and go for a 6th if not they should just end it. This coming from a *huge* fan from day one and who now has to make herself watch.
I also hope they don't continue without Jen. I've heard those rumors and just don't think it can work.

Alias Canceled
"Alias," AKA Canceled
by Joal Ryan
Nov 23, 2005, 5:45 PM PT
Some spies are felled by poison darts. For Sydney Bristow, the culprit was the curse of Mork & Mindy.
Bristow went down Wednesday, with ABC confirming what the Nielsen ratings had been saying all season: Alias is done.
The Emmy-winning action-spy series that made a brand-name star of Jennifer Garner will air its final episode in May, the network said.
You can find more of the article here: E! Online (http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,17840,00.html?fdnews)
'Alias' to end its ABC run this spring
From Associated Press
LOS ANGELES — "Alias" is going undercover for good.
The spy drama starring Jennifer Garner will end its five-season run in May, ABC announced Wednesday, promising a big finish.
"'Alias' is not going to wind down as it comes to an end, it's going to rev up, and we're going to make it the event it deserves to be," ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson said in a statement.
The series co-stars Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, Carl Lumbly and Kevin Weisman. It was created by executive producer J.J. Abrams, who is also part of ABC's popular "Lost."
Airing at 8 p.m. EST Thursday this season, "Alias" has struggled to hold its audience against the competition, especially CBS' "Survivor: Guatemala." Last week, the ABC show drew about 7 million viewers compared to about 19 million for "Survivor."
Garner and her husband, actor Ben Affleck, are expecting their first child around Christmas. Her pregnancy was written into "Alias" for her character, a globe-trotting spy.

I hate to say this... but I'm not surprised. The show has "lost" what it used to be... everything is spy, spy, spy and not enough "mix" of the everyone else's "real world" which it did have in the beginning. And... in the beginning... there was also "real" chemistry between the characters, particularly vaughn's and sydney's.
If they really want to finish up the year with a bang, I think they should bring Will's character back to kind of "comfort" Sydney, with the ups and downs of considering him as a real part of her future, and the future of her child. Meanwhile, she keeps training her "understudies," and the show will end with that premise. That Sydney is "teaching" her legacy to live on beyond her, while she phases out and finally ends that life and walks into a new life of "regular" motherhood and becoming a real family with Will. Something that she values more than ever, because she knows what its like NOT to have it.

I missed the first 15 minutes. (I fell asleep and DH didn't wake me up. Dang Play Station 2!) Can someone give me a recap of the beginning? I started watching when Rachel was out on the ledge of a hotel room.
Great episode (but really, any episode of Alias is great), but definitely not my favorite. I wish we saw more of Syd in this episode (although I think that was due to Jen's pregnancy) and I wanted more back-story on the Jack-Elizabeth relationship.
Stuff I liked:
Sark, Sark Sark! Damn, that man is hot. I absolutely loved watching him and Rachel together. And the look on Rachel’s face in the conference room when she realized who he was. Priceless. Hope we get to see him in more episodes this season! I can see I'm not the only one who cannot get used to David Anders using an American accent. I mean, I know it’s how he really talks but I’m just so used to (and love) Sark speak.
Jack on the piano at the end. That was just a really great scene. Simple, but great.

I missed the first 15 minutes. (I fell asleep and DH didn't wake me up. Dang Play Station 2!) Can someone give me a recap of the beginning? I started watching when Rachel was out on the ledge of a hotel room. Here's a brief synopsis from www.televisionwithoutpity.com:
It would appear that there's a micropulse bomb on the loose and a double agent at MI:6 wants it for a play toy. I was too busy laughing my ass off at Victor Garber uttering the word "thong" and watching David Anders melt the buttons off my remote control to really pay attention to the plot.
But, if I were paying attention, I would notice that Rachel goes on assignment in pursuit of some Russian scientist dude and, while pretending to be a Brit, she meets up with Mr. Julian Sark, who's pretending to be an American. Heh. Turns out they're both after the same Russian scientist dude. That doesn't stop them from tripping the light horizontal fantastic, however. Hoo-ah! Which one of them gets the Russian dude? Well, they both do, kind of. And they both seem to be blissfully unaware that the other is after the same dude. But who really cares? Hoo-ah!
Caroline Goodall shows up long enough to help Jack out on a mission. Too bad they get captured in an ambush. The ambushers are a bunch of dudes from some organization called the "RLF," and Sloane shows up long enough to somehow divine that Sark was the man who made the ambush possible by selling intel to the leader of the RLF. Yeah, it's all Greek to me. In order to save her father and Auntie Caroline, Syd has to go to Sark for help. Mmmm, pretty Sark.
The last ten minutes of the episode involve Rachel sniping at Sark; Sark being double-crossed by the RLF dude; Dix, Rachel, and Getty running in to rescue Jack and Caroline; and Rachel heading off in pursuit of RLF dude and Sark. Unfortunately, Sark's been handcuffed to the micropulse bomb. Aww. No more hoo-ah! Syd and Marshall talk Rachel through the bomb deprogramming or whatever, and of course she saves the day. Oh, and apparently, Jack plays classical piano, and may or may not have once been in love with Caroline. Innnteresting.

Wow! I had no idea that they would actually bring Syndey's mom back. What kind of sicko does that kind of crap to their own daughter/grandchild?! At least she asked if it would hurt the baby, but with the nursery they showed at the end, it looks like they have plans for the baby.
I really liked how they went back through her memory and redid scenes that we've already seen throughout the series. But it really made me miss the early Sydney/Vaughn days before Lauren and all the other things they went through in the more recent seasons.

I LOVED tonight's episode; I thought it was very well done, and the flashbacks to old episodes were awesome.
Stuff I liked...
1) Vaughn!!! :D Bestill my heart. http://69.93.183.37/html/emoticons/wub.gif
2) The flashbacks - I loved them. Very very well done. Especially for die hard alias fans (hehe) they were so poignant. For example I knew...I just KNEW that when one of them said "we always find each other..." that they'd cut to the Korea scene - my heart was just http://www.kenandkeli.com/images/smilies/heartbeat.gif when Vaughn felt the baby move. *sigh* Or when they told her to think about the map, they flashed the image of the blood bank trailer on a college campus and before they even went inside you knew exactly what scene was coming up, even just from that split second hint. Kinda cool that they had to set up all those scene again. (Or did they? Maybe it was fancy camerawork and fake backgrounds that made us think they were actually in those places again.) I also thought it made it weirdly creepy (but sort of in a good way) to see Vaughn and Syd acting out those scene as their current selves - Syd pregnant (she just looks so different than the first time this scene played out) and Vaughn, well, with a little stubble and just looking...so much older, more mature, I don't know how to describe it. Good stuff.
3) The hospital scene. Great Jack & Sydney interactions. Yay!
4) SpyMommy
5) The reveal that Syd is on a boat in the middle of the ocean and not, in fact, in Hungary. They kind of made it seem like she was in the same building that Renee and Jack were infiltrating (seemed similar to when Dean was going after Vaughn in Mexico City but he was not actually there).
6) These are not my words but I read someone's opinion of the episode on another website and she framed it perfectly: If there is a more archetypal Jack moment than the line, "What should scare you is that I'm a concerned father," followed by the opening of a switchblade -- well, I can't think of it.:D
WTF was up with Vaughn offering Sydney wine in that flashback scene? HeLLO?! Pregnant and alcohol do not mix.
What did everyone think of the flashback scene to when Vaughn was in the hospital? I swear there was some hints/indication that he's not dead and that Sydney knew he had to go away for awhile. Or, was that just her memory making things up? (Because obviously all the other flashback scenes had dialogue that didn't actually happen.) When the doctor came in and gave Syd the drink, telling her to give it to him slowly in sips...did that reveal anything that we didn't already know? I guess I'm so desparate to have Vaughn be alive that I'm reaching for anything. Thoughts?
Great episode! I don't know how I'm going to wait until March. :(

Last night's episode felt like the Alias of days past, when it kept you glued to your seat and stunned in the end. Irina's behind Prophet 5?!?!?! HOLY CRAP!!!
I could go on, but I'd probably exceed the character limit. :D I'll just say one last thing...
WHY OH WHY must Alias go away just as it's getting GREAT again?!?!?!?!
ETA: I just remembered something from last season. Didn't Irina have a "chat" with Vaughn on the plane at the end of Season 4 about his intensions to propose? I recall her telling him she supported it but that he needed to be honest with Sydney - showing viewers that she knew about his secret past. Given Irina's freaky interest in their baby, do you think Vaughn is part of this "destiny" that has surrounded Sydney & her family since Season 1 and the baby has been prophesized?
Must go now. My head hurts. ;)

I agree on Jack interragating the guy. I love Jack!
I think the scene with him offering her wine was supposed to be a repeat of a conversation they had in the past...just like she wasn't pregnant when they were showing them getting engaged, and in other missions.

I'm wondering if this is all part of some elaborate plot that Irina has cooked up to "liberate" Sydney from the spy business. Sydney has made a lot of enemies so I can't see her walking away from the spy life without someone going after her. Maybe extracting the information from Sydney's memory was they key to finding information that would guarentee that Sydney and family would be left alone.
And of course Irina has to keep her actions secret so not to blow her plan.

Yeah, but to kidnap and torture your child in order to "save" her & her baby? Now that would be horribly twisted. She coulda just asked Sydney, or even Jack. Jack knew the extent of The Alliance.

We saw her at the end of season 4. We did think that Jack had killed her; hence, the animosity between Syd and Jack at the beginning of last season. But then we learned that the woman Jack shot was a double of Irina.
I don't believe Vaughn has been doubled.

Yes, but we are talking about the Bristows. Let's not forget Project Christmas.
After all the "I'm not Michael Vaughn" stuff, I'm unsure of all the key supporting characters (which is probably why I'm so hooked on the show!)
I just now got around to watching the show. What a great episode, just like back when they were good. I was so shocked to learn that 1) Syd gave Vaughn the drink in the hospital and that's what made him crash and 2) that Irina is back  That nursery was freaky. Finding out she's on a ship was freaky. I can't wait until the finish up with all this. It will be great to learn some secrets and get some closure. I loved the flashbacks-- I've been watching the reruns lately, so it was cool to see that they integated a lot of "old stuff" with new stuff.
Count me in as a "Vaughn's not really dead" supporter. The drink was definitely included in the scene for a reason!

I happy to have a date for Alias. Were there already 14 episodes or are they cutting the season short? I love when they do the two hour episodes!

Yay! I'm so excited :) Anyone else excited that it's on Wed @ 8 too?? I swear, there is NEVER anything on then that I want to watch!
According to the ABC website they have only done 9 episodes thus far-- so I guess that means they are cutting the season short a little.
I do have to say, I would rather watch 17 episodes with Jennifer Garner in them, rather than 5 without her. That would SUCH be a waste...
We have so much to look forward to in these episodes too -- can't wait to see some of our favorite characters come back :D

Spoiler: I also heard on some entertainment show that Bradley Cooper (Will) is returning for the 100th episode. :D

"Alias's Kevin Weisman, and wife have a baby girl!"
Friday Mar 31, 2006 5:45pm EST (updated)
By Pamela Warrick
Alias actor Kevin Weisman and his wife, Jodi, welcomed their first child on Friday, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
The baby girl, Maya Rose, was born at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 1:57 a.m. She weighed in at 7 lbs., 1 oz.
"Jodi was a trooper! Maya is beautiful. Best moment of my life," the actor said in a statement to PEOPLE.
Kevin, 35, and Jodi, 25, a preschool teacher, married last May in a traditional Jewish service.
"It was unbelievably beautiful," Kevin told PEOPLE of the Atherton, Calif., ceremony.
The groom, who plays tech whiz Marshall Flinkman on the ABC drama starring Jennifer Garner, played drums with his band, Trainwreck, during the reception.
"All ages were on the dance floor," he told PEOPLE. "My bride rocked out!"Source (http://people.aol.com/people/articles/0,19736,1179151,00.html)

Me!!! :D
Less than a week to go, ladies and it's all I can do to contain myself from doing an Alias Happy Dance. Hee hee. I *still* haven't caught the previews on ABC (we don't watch any ABC shows right now so I just haven't been able to see it) and I can't get the preview to work on the website.
2 whole hours and then new epidodes every single week until the end. I can't freakin' WAIT! I love this show. Ok, I'll shut up now. Just wanted to bump this up and get hyped up with everyone for the show next week!

I'm excited too!
Every time I see the commerical I clap and cheer-- and then rewind it so I can see it again :)
I read that they are pulling out all of stops-- and totally going over budget for these last 8 episodes and ABC hasn't said a word!
I'm THRILLED that they're finally coming back! And every time I see Will in the previews I just giggle (and I'd never even really call myself a huge Will fan!)
SQ2 - how in the world are you NOT watching Lost?!?!?!
I know. I've heard it's a great show. I've had to really limit myself on TV shows while in grad school. There are so many other shows I wish I had time to watch but since I've never watched them I'm afraid to start for fear I'll be hooked and then really not get any work done. (Grey's Anatomy is another one that comes to mind, Desperate Housewives too.)
*Bump*
Don't forget, it's on this week! I can't wait. I have my DVR set for the rest of the season.
Kristin from Eonline has some spoilers but I am not reading anything for the rest of the series. I want to go out with a bang.
woohoo! I CAN NOT wait!!! I think I'll avoid the spoilers as well. I'd rather enjoy the final episodes as they happen.
Yipeeeee! So excited. I couldn't help myself and looked at the spoiler pictures from upcoming episodes on Alias-Media, but I'm not going to look anymore or read any spoilers. I wonder if it's normal for someone to be as excited as I am about a TV show. :p
Of course it's normal, otherwise that means I am not normal. :D

I am definitely looking forward to it. I do hope though that they do a LONG "previously on Alias" to catch us up because I have kind of forgotten - except that she escaped and found out she was on the boat.
Is it going to be on at 8 on Wednesdays after tomorrow's 2 hours (and then I heard the finale will be 2 hours on MONDAY 5/22 to allow for the finale of Lost on 5/24)??
Holly cow, I totally forgot about how Syd ended up on that ship/tanker. They better do a good "previously" or I'll be SO lost. Can anyone here post a good recap for us (I know sometimes folks Tivo and rewatch, so I thought someone might have it lying around).

Season 5: 9 - The Horizon
12/14/05
Michael Vaughn makes dinner with Sydney in her apartment. He says that she's going to be a great mother. Syd has a vision - she's bound, with wires attached to her head. The vision is reality -- Vaughn was part of a dream. A doctor injects her with a chemical.
Flash back two days. Peyton retrieves Vaughn's files at the CIA archives in San Francisco. She calls Aldo Desantis and arranges a meeting.
At the APO briefing room, Jack informs the team of the breach and identifies Peyton as part of Prophet Five. She has stolen the files of several agents killed in the line of duty. Syd knows that means Vaughn. Jack tasks Sloane to oversee Rachel's analysis of the intel and asks Syd to meet with Renee Rienne about Prophet Five.
In a warehouse, Peyton's team listens to mission tapes. This leads them to believe that Vaughn had told Sydney crucial information about Prophet Five, and Sydney might not even be aware of it. Peyton calls Desantis and he recommends a doctor who specializes in extracting information.
In Madrid, Sydney meets with Renee who confirms that Vaughn didn't keep anything on record related to Prophet Five, though he was obsessed with it. Just then, they're attacked. Though Renee kills two attackers, Sydney is abducted and thrown into a van. Renee stops a second van and finds Desantis inside.
Present. Bound in the interrogation room, Sydney hears the doctor explain to observers that the chemical he injected will force hypnosis: numb the body but keep the mind lucid. When the doctor asks her to find a happy moment with Michael Vaughn, Syd's subconscious reverts back to the time Vaughn proposed to her. In this dream state, she gains awareness and frantically tells Vaughn in the dream that Prophet Five is using her. Vaughn is taken aback at Syd's knowledge of Prophet Five.
Renee contacts APO and tells Jack about Syd's abduction. Jack moves the team to locate Sydney and points out that since Desantis is involved, this means involvement of Prophet Five experimental medical procedures. Jack asks Sloane if he knows another Prophet Five contact and Sloane denies it. Later, Sloane tries pleads with his contact for Sydney's release but to no avail.
Sydney's memory regression continues. She recalls speaking to Vaughn on a hospital bed minutes before he dies, and her conscious mind breaks through in this memory and starts talking to Vaughn about Prophet Five once again. She realizes that the drink she had given him that was recommended by the nurse caused Vaughn's body to crash. As she refuses to let him die, Vaughn tells her to let him go, since this is the only way to defeat the people holding her captive. She recalls another memory where they were stuck in a jail cell, and she refuses to let Vaughn go.
Jack interrogates Desantis -- and cuts an ear off. Just then, Renee discovers a Hungarian address in Desantis' notebook. Jack realizes that one of the dates listed is Sydney's delivery date. Jack leaves the room and Renee shoots Desantis.
Meanwhile, the doctor once again urges Sydney to dive into her memory. She recalls a moment where she speaks with Vaughn at a pier. Vaughn again urges her to let the memory of him go before they hurt her further. In the memory, Syd's phone rings and she hears the doctor's voice on the other end, asking her to draw a map.
Syd's memory jumps back to one of her first meetings with Vaughn, where they spoke about SD-6. When Vaughn shows Syd the real map of SD-6, the doctor asks Sydney to read the information on the map. After Syd says "X-23 Norte," a hidden observer tells the doctor to end the procedure. A satisfied Irina Derevko prepares to leave and orders Peyton to tell their associates that the location has been found, and to keep Syd comfortable.
Inside Syd's head, she's with Vaughn on a beach. Syd says how much she wants to stay with him. Vaughn encourages her and tells her that together, they will defeat these people -especially after they find out that Syd had given them the wrong information. He has to go so they can stop using her.
At the Hungarian address, Renee and Jack find a room where a nursery was set up. Meanwhile, with the chemicals wearing off, Sydney opens her eyes and finds Peyton unstrapping her. Syd stabs Peyton with the drug and escapes. Still groggy, she finds her way around narrow corridors, only to discover that she's on a ship at sea.
Thanks Young Lioness! You rock! It didn't even occur to me that there would be an "official" season review out there somewhere.

Yay! What a great way to wind down the series. (Although, there were a lot of "What the hell are they talking about" moments--- and the fact that Sydney went into labor and gave birth in like 10 minutes annoyed me, but it was still a great episode(s))!

Awww..I love Amy Acker-- but that's because she was Fred on Angel. She played such a geeky character on that show (well, until the end), it's nice to see her play bad!
Yeah, I was a little irritated by the fast labor and birth too. I'm glad her parents were with her though and she wasn't all alone. I totally expected Vaughn to show up for the birth somehow. Wish he was in longer than a couple seconds at the end but hopefully we'll see him more next time. Seems like many speculations were right and Syd and Jack knew that Vaughn wasn't dead and had something to do with his going away. Anyways else expect to see Vaughn dressed in a monk's robe with a shaved head? Hehehe. THat would have been funny.

WOW that was a great episode last night!
Yup, I got misty eyed at the end too!
I am just confused with the whole Michael Vaughn thing. Maybe the real one was in hiding for a while and that one that got shot wasn't really him? He was going to tell Syd something when they got into that car crash at the end of Season 4.
I was on the edge of my seat last night. Now what is with that Tom Grace guy? He talked to the guy who killed his wife and asked for the Cardinal?
So many questions, I hope they'll be able to answer them!

04-20-2006, 10:00 AM
Yeah, the ending made me forget about Tom until just now...
I think it's great that they finally gave him an interesting story line. He has been such a nothing character until now. But the whole thing is kind of confusing...why would the CIA put someone in witness protection who killed another CIA employee's wife? I can't mentally make all the pieces fit together, and I'm not sure if it's just me, or if they haven't given us enough pieces to be able to figure it out.

He probably cooperated with the government and gave them a "bigger fish" to fry. That happens on Law & Order a lot, usually when the Federal goverment gets involved in the case. ;)
I was thinking the same thing KaliLily. Truthfully, I don't really care. We have 5 episodes, and all want is Sydney, Vaughn, Jack, Will, Irina, Sloane, Marshall & Dixon. And Anna. I don't care about the rest of them, I don't care about Tom, Rachel or Prophet 5.

I don't know, maybe they originally filmed it a different way. She had her baby 4 days before I had mine in December - I got a good laugh out of the timeframe, too.

Newbie to this thread ... but could Vaughn have looked HOTTER at the end?
(I knew he couldn't be dead either!)
Do you think Sydney and Jack knew he wasn't dead? At the end when Syd said to Jack on the plane as he was holding the baby ..."Dad" and she looked at him and Jack said "I'll take care of it" ... then cut to Vaughn finding out about the daughter?
stevesbabygirl

They absolutely knew he wasn't dead! During the funeral scene in episode one, Jack and Sydney gave each other a look, and you just knew that something was going on. That's why I never believed that he was really dead.
And no, it is not possible for Vaughn to have looked any hotter at the end. That picture is burned into my memory forever.
