Repulsive "Wifely Expectations" pact emerges in Iowa kidnap case

FEBRUARY 17--This country, as you know, is filled with the deranged. And then there's Travis Frey, a 33-year-old Iowa man who is facing charges that he tried to kidnap his own wife (not to mention a separate child pornography rap). Frey, prosecutors contend, apparently is a rather demanding guy. In fact, he actually drew up a bizarre four-page marriage document--a "Contract of Wifely Expectations"--that sought to establish guidelines for his spouse in terms of hygiene, clothing, and sexual activities. In return for fulfilling certain requirements, Frey (pictured right) offered "Good Behavior Days," or GBDs. Each GBD, Frey wrote, could be redeemed by his wife to "get out of doing the things" he requested daily. A copy of the proposed contract, which Frey's wife never signed and later provided to cops, can be found below. While we normally point out the highlights of most documents, there are so many in this demented, and very graphic, contract, we really can't do it justice. kdotp - I was trying to find out when he gave it to her. That makes more sense why any woman would marry the guy if she didn't know how crazy he was. I guess the only hope is that he ends up in jail and his jail husband makes him sign a contract like that ;)

This guy has some real mental problems.

Reading about him reminded me of a book, Refusing to Be a Man (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1841420417/104-6576331-5419102?v=glance&n=283155) (Amazon link)- a collection of essays by John Stoltenberg. Among other things, he contends that the porn industry manipulates male consumers' sexuality in order to sell more, and they actually play a huge part in the formation of many men's sexuality.. ((This guy actually feels like he owns his wife's body parts, and they are his sex objects.))

Don't know if any of you watch Buffy, but I kept thinking that this man needs to find Warren to build him a sexbot, becuase to have an actual human fill that roll is completely sick.

The article also mentioned separate child pornography charges, so I'm sure there are a lot of factors going on here in his development of a warped notion of sexuality.
