Can anyone recommend some good books that are available in those little paperback versions - the ones that are about 6 inches by 4 inches.
Going on a trip and I need to pack very light - but I also need a lot to read!
Anything by Maeve Binchy, esp. Firefly Summer and Light a Penny Candle.

I think Jennifer Crusie's books are great vacation / beach reads, and they are all available in that format. Also, John Grisham, Dennis Lehane (who wrote Mystic River) Marian Keyes, Mary Higgins Clark, have all of their books (I think) available in mass market paperback and are some of my favorite light, fun reads. :)
I second the Marian Keyes. I think the Jennifer Weiners are also no available in the smaller size. And of course, there's always some good 'ol rauchy, Jackie Collins

I'm looking at my "airplane book" shelf...
For mysteries - Tami Hoag or Tess Gerritsen
Chicklit - Marian Keyes
Romance - Nora Roberts, Judith McNaught
Spy novels/suspense - Ken Follet, Nelson Demille, Robert Ludlum
General nice books (half from my grandmother) - Rosamunde Pilcher, Maeve Binchey
General trash - Judith Krantz (Scruples is the one on my shelf--a classic!)

Stef -- check out Diana Gabaldon -- all of her books (starting with Outlander) are in mass market paperback and long and good. I'd also look at mysteries -- they usually come in MMP too -- P.D. James is really good, and again, long and has some meat. I also like Laurie King a lot -- particularly her Mary Russell Sherlock Holmes series, starting with the Beekeeper's Apprentice.
