We're going to Vegas for our first anniversary and I want to take our wedding cake (yuck- I know but I'm a sucker for cheesy traditions!) and a bottle of champagne that we recieved as a present at our wedding. Just wondering if you can take those in your carry-on on the plane? It's not a big deal- but I'd like to take them along to surprise hubby at the hotel.

Anyone know if this is a no-no? Or if it would be a big pain and I should just forget it and spring for the over priced stuff at the hotel?

TIA!:D

I'm would think that you can take that bottle of champagne. When peopel travel back home from the islands they always have duty-free alchohol and wine that they carry on. When I came back from South America, I had 3 bottles of alcohol, and everyone else in my group did too.

Yes, you can carry them on. Just be careful, because Ive seen bottles get broken in the overhead compartment.

I'm sure it should be ok. Just don't open the bottle right after the flight :D or it might explode from being shook on the plane and in your bag.

I did the same thing and it was no problem (just a little annoying to carry).

Thanks everyone!

Now all I have to do is find a way to keep certain nosey husbands from looking in my bag until we get to the hotel!
