Help me find a dress!

Which Dress? I have narrowed it down to two of them and now i CAN NOT CHOOSE! I have no idea why this one simple thing is so difficult. :cool: I would just order both of them and return the one I like least but 1 of them is not returnable!

I need to find a dress for a wedding. It is not a formal wedding but it is in the evening. The hard part... it has to be a size 18. (i can't believe i have to socially admit that!) I have no idea where to find a dress in this size since it wasn't too long ago i was a size 6! Ah... what 7 post highschool years will do to ya. I have been putting off buying clothes for my increasing waist line. So pathetic. Can someone please help? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on this since i am dieting and seeing a personal trainer a few times a week... I don't plan to be at this peak weight for too much longer. I really need help with this. TIA.

Daytime? Evening? Formal, casual? Ankle, calf or knee length?

Thanks for responding jennylou. It is an evening wedding. It isn't casual and it isn't formal. I would say one step down from formal... semi-formal? Dressy but not overkill, if that makes sense. I would prefer knee to calf length. Colorwise i am most comfortable in neutrals... beige, silver, black, champagne, etc... but would consider a killer dress in just about any color. I hope that helps... i haven't been able to find anything yet!

Jane- Thanks for finding that dress from Lane Bryant... I had forgotten about that store.
jennylou- Those dresses are GREAT! But too expensive for a 1 time wear. Dh would throw a fit. :)
Golightly- Thanks. I checked talbots but i didn't see anything appropriate or i liked it and they didn't have my size.

It has a lot of character and it doesn't look like every other dress that you see and i could picture putting it on and just feeling good in it.
Have you ever ordered from that company before? If it doesn't fit or it doesn't look good can it be returned easily? Let me know before i make the plunge!

I am still shopping a little so if anyone else has any other ideas i would really appreciate it. Thanks again to everyone... I am going to use the websites in the future for everyday clothes too and i am a little excited about the clothes i have seen in plus sizes.

Unfortunately, I haven't ordered from there...merely admired from afar. :)

But, as far as plus size clothes go they have a really good reputation, so I wouldn't hesitate to order from there if I found something I really had to have. I usually wait until the last minute to buy an outfit, so online shopping never works for me. I have ordered and shopped at Torrid, and the quality is pretty good for the price you pay.

I liked the dress you posted, too!!! Very cute! Let us know what you decide!
