Kanye wants Bible role

Kanye West has suggested religious leaders revise the Bible to include him as a new character.

The confident hip hop superstar, who claimed three Grammys at the US music ceremony in LA this week, says he deserves a role amongst Jesus Christ and his disciples.

Kanye believes he could take on the role of "a griot" - a West African storyteller - in a modern version of 'The Big Book'.

He explained: "I bring up historical subjects in a way that makes kids want to learn about them. I'm an inspirational speaker.

"I changed the sound of music more than one time...For all those reasons, I'd be a part of the Bible. I'm definitely in the history books already."

You know, when you take the ego out of it, it's really not a bad idea. I don't think Kanye should be put in the Bible, but it's not a bad idea of a way to tell the stories, with him as narrator.
