Hey girls! I was wondering if you could help me decide on flowers. I am getting married in June. My dress is ivory and the bm's are red. I am thinking about doing silk so I can keep it forever but I haven't decided for sure. Roses are an obvious choice but I want to see other ideas. Can you help me out?? Please post any pictures you have of silk or real flowers that would go with red. Thanks!!!

You can check out this thread (http://www.constantchatter.com/showthread.php?t=3702) for red ideas :)

I had an ivory dress and red BM dresses. I have lots of photos from my wedding in my journal if you want to peek.

Personally, I would really recommend fresh flowers. They photograph better than silk (as in, silk doesn't always look real in photos) and I just think there's nothing prettier than vibrant, fresh flowers. Just my opinion.

Also, have you looked through the "Bridesmaid Color Combos" thread? There are lots of pictures of BMs in red dresses and their flowers-- it might give you some fun ideas.

Hi, I used silk flowers for my wedding and I found them at Hobby Lobby. They can be pretty pricey though, but I got all my flowers half off there and they are the most realistic looking silks you can find. Mine photographed so well, it was hard to tell if they were fake or not. You might want to look there so you can see your options. Definitely stay away from Wal-Mart flowers! Theirs never look real!

I'm doing silk for my wedding, and making the arrangements myself. I think that silk flowers are beautiful, and if you get nice ones, they absolutely look real. Why spend all that money on something that's going to die, when you can make a beautiful bouquet -not be stressed out about a florist screwing it up - and keep it forever (if you want) for a fraction of the price? Sign me up!! :D

Here's the red rose bouquet I made:

All of the supplies to make this bouquet cost me about $20 - as opposed to the $200 quote I got from a florist!
