What adhesives did you use? I'm having a hard time getting my cardstock to stick to the pockets!

I had to try a couple different ones for my STD's and invites. The glue made the paper warp, the dispenser thing didn't stick very well. I finally used the spray adhesive, which worked well but was messy. But during the holidays while making x-mas cards I discoverd glue dots. LOVE them!

Btwn cardstock layers I used the roller adhesive thing. It was permanent adhesive. I used ribbon corners btwn the last layer and the pocket and I actually used double-faced tape meant for professional photo albums. It's a lot more adhesive than the roller.

I used Duck brand adhesive for my invites (cardstock to cardstock) and it worked great! They sell it at Walmart and its a lot cheaper than all the adhesives I saw at craft stores like Michaels...

Double sided drafting tape works awesome!! I used it for all of my invites. It does not pucker, or smear. Very easy to use and it sticks permanently to cardstock.

The other tapes I tried, like Scotch, or CVS were not sticky enough and they peeled up! This does not have that issue. It is very strong.

This store is pretty inexpensive. This is wear I ordered mine:

I used both double-stick tape (very thin, sold by Paper Source, called Increditape) and rubber cement for various projects. The rubber cement was best for things that had a lot of surface area that had to stick, but we had to be careful not to get TOO much of it around or the paper would warp.

I used a big roller adhesive tape that I bought through mygatsby.com. I went through 12 rolls of tapes on all my DIY stuff...I can't seem to find the rolls anywhere local so I am going to just order a ton from them which should last me a long, long time. I bought a couple of smaller rollers from Michaels but they didn't work as well (kept getting jammed).

Edited: Changed where I bought it.

OMG that dispenser is so expensive! $42! Granted, it'd be awesome to not have to peel off the backing but wow. That is a big cost to add into the wedding invitations if you're not into scrapbooking or cardmaking as a hobby.

It is for cardboard and crafts!

I had an envelopment invite that was Very thick and had a couple of layers, and the glue worked Wonders.
PLUS, it was only about $4 per tube. I think I used 2 to make 150 invites. Each invite had 1 pocket on the bottom.
You dont need alot of this glue at all!
