right now. Holy cow!!!! We have showed our place about 25 times, and this is the second offer (really thought there would be more, but oh well).
Realtor is coming over right now to present it.
YEAH!!!

Now, where to live until our house is built?

Anyone want to take us in???? :D

Accepted the offer :) The only problem is they want to close on the 28th of this month and we have no place to live until our new one is built (finished in August).
Hopefully they will let us live here a little longer to pack and find a place to live.

We were in a very similar situation. We decided to build a new house in September, so we put our house on the market in late October. Within a week, we had an offer on it. But, due to difficulties with her financing and our house getting finished, we delayed closing until January 25. We are leasing back until February 15 and then we have to be out. Hopefully our house will be done and we can just move once. If not, we'll board the dogs and get a hotel.

Have you checked into extended stay hotels? Wyndham's Summerfield Suites is really nice...Maybe they have one in your area. When the plan was to close on December 30, we were going to stay there.

Congratulations on selling your house and building!

you could always put most of your stuff into storage, and get an apt for a few months. some apts will rent to you on a montly basis especially if you can find an apt for sublet. you have a child right? if you don't, you could always get a room for rent for a couple of months too. my dh used to work several hours away, so he rented a room while he was working.

lml' suggestion of a hotel is a good idea too, but those extended stay places can be pretty pricey. if you don't mind staying in one room and eating out a lot, some motels are pretty decent and a good price.

do you have family in the area who would willing to board you for a few mos?
