Please tell me my daughter's not the only one that loves to munch on kibble... I swear if I turn my head for 2 seconds, she is in the dog food bowl! We've moved it all over the house and she always finds it. Other than limiting our dog's food and water consumption to the middle of the night, I'm at a loss! Any ideas? :)

When I was a kid, one of my friends ate dog food! She turned out fine, so don't worry too much!

OK, I'll admit it...our DS loves to eat the stuff! Same as you, we've moved the bowl all over to no avail. Now we keep it in the office where DS is not allowed to go, but the poor dogs go without food since they are usually where we are!

Our son likes to play with it, but we don't let him... We're just extra careful about watching him when we are in the kitchen because he always beelines for it... so when he starts going towards it, we snatch him up.

ETA: He's never eaten it that we know of yet.

At least I know she's not the only one! I'm hoping that this will encourage her to try other finger foods as well ;)

We don't have any dogs but my DD loves cat food. We try to redirect her with other snack foods but sometimes she's just too quick.

It amazes me how she can be so picky with the foods I give her but eats anything off the ground.

Ok..This made me LOL. The first thing we have to do if we visit someone is to make sure there is NO animal food in my DD's range. She LOVES the stuff!! We have dogs and can't look away for a second or she is going to town on their food!! Glad to know I'm not alone. I was beginning to think she was a bit weird..LOL

Well, I guess lots of babies like dog food. I could post over in the "What is your child eating today thread"

breakfast: oatmeal
lunch: cheese and bananas
afternoon snack: three morsels of Science Diet

Well, we don't have a dog, but when we went to visit our friends Juniper and her son Anthony, Joey discovered the tasty joy of doggie chow.

It's equally fun if you eat it or toss it in the wading pool to watch it swell up and get soggy. :)

Marisa Yes, watching it swell up is definately a favorite in our house too!! Bryelle fills the water bowl up once she has her "fix"

Chandy Your three morsels of scince diet had me ROFL!!!

I wish our cats liked their food as much as DS does. Perhaps then they wouldn't constantly mooch off us when we're eating ;)
