DH and I are so tired of throwing money away each month on renting. However, we need some time to clean up our credit more and save for a down payment. Recently I have seen lots of advertisements for lease to own options. We're thinking that this may be the best option for us. At least this way part of our monthy payment goes towards our down payment. Also the cost of the home would be locked in and hopefully at the end of the year (or two in some cases) the value of the real estate would have increased. We are hoping that this plus our vested intrest in the home would make it easier to obtain a mortgage.
Anyone done this or have any information regarding lease to own options that they can share? I sooooo want to live somewhere that I feel like is mine. Where I can paint the walls if I want to and just make it my home. :)
