has anyone done this? can you tell me your experience with it and what a normal day eating was like for you?
i just joined last week, and after i eat all of my points, i still feel hungry. i am wondering what some other peoples experiences were with weight watchers while breastfeeding.

I'm glad you started this thread. Have you lost any weight? I just joined WW online last Monday and there were a few days this week I felt STARVING, even with using all of my 10 points I gave myself for breastfeeding. And I ate pretty good on these days, too. Didn't eat too much sugar, ate lots of filler veggies, etc. I also started working out this week, so maybe that had something to do with it, but I was very discouraged to realize that I didn't lose one pound. I ate all of my points, including my flex points and felt that I needed to, because the last thing I want to do is jeopardize my milk supply. If this is the rate I am going at, it is going to take FOREVER to lose this 20 lbs!
Note: I normally have a pretty big appetite, even when not bf'ing.

I have read different things about WW and BFing -- some say to add 10 points to your total, others say to add 2 points per feeding. If your baby is still eating 6-8 times per day, that's more like 12-16 extra points -- be sure you're getting enough! :)

I had great sucess and lost over 40 lb while nursing and BF (since put a lot back on post nursing) but I added 10 points a day and used activity points. As I cut down nursing sessions I cut out 2 extra points, I also made sure to not lose more than 2 lbs a week to keep mu supply healthy.
It took from December till July to lose all the weight and I worked out regularly.

My baby nurses at least 8 times a day, but most days 10. I now also pump at least once to build up my supply on top of it. Given that, I really should've lost at least one pound my first week!

Looking at your due date, I would probably wait. I did not start WW until 4 months post my baby birth to ensure my supply was up. Also my body I do not think was ready to lose anything more than the initial - I just gave birth weight.

I am BFing and on my 3rd week of WW. I actually have found it to be relatively easy for me so far, but I think it has to do with the fact that I still have 30 pounds of pregnancy weight (and 20 pounds of pre-pregnancy weight:rolleyes: ) to lose. So my fat stores are still really up, probably causing me to not feel hungry. I lost almost 5 pounds in the first 2 weeks (3.2 the first...probably a lot of water weight...and 1.6 the second week) and I haven't noticed a problem with my supply at all. I use the "extra 10 points" rule for BFing moms.
Here is a "normal" day for me...whatever normal means for a new mom of a 2 month old!:
Breakfast: Frosted Mini Wheats with 1 cup of milk (5 points)
Snack: String Cheese (2 points)
Lunch: WW Smart Ones Meal (5-6 points) usually with some added parmesean (1 point)
Snack: Rice Cakes, Yogurt (4 points)
Dinner: Rice (5 points) Vegetables with Tofu (5-7 points), salad with light dressing and garbanzo beans (3 points)
Snack: 1 cup of milk, Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich (5 points)
Total: 35-36 points for the day (My allowance is 36 points)
Also, water or caffeine free diet coke during the day. Plus I just discovered Aquafina flavored water and I love the citrus flavor (no points!)
I am hoping to have steady and gradual weight loss. WW has really worked for me in the past. Have a good week everyone!

I'm on the second week of WW and breastfeeding- I still exclusively breastfeed my 9 month old so I'm giving myself 10 extra points/day. I also walk a lot so get extra activity points and sometimes eat those also.
I actually feel great- I am still working on getting more healthy snacks in- we wake up at 6am and if I eat breakfast right away and then don't eat until lunchtime I wind up pretty hungry so I need to be better about a morning snack. My weight loss from the first week isn't entirely accurate (my starting weight was on a doctor's scale mid-day with clothes on) but was 11 pounds. Probably 4-5lbs of that was real loss I'd guess. I'm taking fenugreek and drinking Mother's Milk tea to make sure that my supply doesn't dip down and so far I haven't seen a difference. I hope from now on it'll be more like 1-2 pounds/week.
normal day of eating:
breakfast: either high fiber cereal with 2% milk and fruit or whole wheat english muffin with turkey bacon and reduced fat cheddar
lunch: sandwich of mini whole wheat pitas, artichoke spread, turkey breast, avocado and a salad on the side
afternoon snack: some cheese and crackers or some fruit
dinner: a WW entree- I've tried 4 or 5 and liked them all, and a vegetable side dish.
after dinner: WW cookie or scoop of sorbet.

I am doing WW and breastfeeding. I just started week 2 and so far I love it. I don't feel hungry and I really feel a lot better about myself. I have already lost 5 pounds.
I get 30 points per day and I usually stick to that, although I do use a few flex points if I want something extra. I also earn a lot of activity points by working out regularly, too.
I have noticed a slight dip in supply, but I am taking More Milk Plus and that seems to help. My DS is 8 months old though, so he gets solids, too.

i did WW and lost all my weight gradually while BFing..i ate the 10 points more than i would have if i wasn't BFing..i find that w/ WW you really have to stick to the plan.now i am within 5 pounds of my pre pregnacy weight and just watching what i eat.

i havn't lost any weight yet since i just joined this last wednesday. i think a big reason i am feeling hungry by the end of the day is i am not choosing foods that fill me up. i snack on carrots, have a granola barm, rice cakes and just discovered a bag of popcorn is very low in points. good for snacking on while watching tv in the evening.
i am concerned that if i am feeling hungry by the end of the day maybe i am not getting enough, and that will affect my milk supply in the long run. what does mothers milk tea taste like? i am not a big tea drinker.

1_mommy:
also, eggwhites are llow points..i would make an omelette with cheese and plenty of veggies to fill me up..plus you can find wheat bread (WW has their own) which is 1 pt. for two pieces so put some jam on that and add a banana and it is a huge meal! also the 100 calorie packs are good for sweet tooth - two points.
i started WW at 5.5 months post-partum. i would not have done it earlier b/c of what you mentioned -- my DD was eating every 2 hours and i was always famished. that said, it has been working for me. i was ten pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight and have lost that and am now working on losing the ten pounds i should have lost before i got pregnant. i added ten points and i also use activity points.
one thing to note is that i was usuing a lot of artificial sweetners and w/in a few days it caused blood in my DD's poop so i stopped that right away.

I'm not BFing....nor do I have any kids....but I am on WW. When I first started WW I was always hungry the first two weeks....it's because your body isn't used to only eating a set number of foods (I could only have 20 points). Granted I was only trying to loose 12 pounds and it took FOREVER. Eventually after the first two weeks I got used to only eating 20 points a day and I stopped being hungry all the time.

Ditto to what ManteoChik said. I have used WW on and off for a few years to get myself back into healthy eating mode. Whenever I start following it stricktly I give myself a week to "adjust", where i'll eat a few extra points. That way my body can gradually get used to eating less and I don't rebel and end up eating everything.

1_mommy~ sounds like you need to snack or eat things with more protein to keep you feeling full. Low fat cheese or yogurts are great for that.

How about a smoothie made with protein powder? When I was preg, I needed to figure out how to get enough protein because I am vegetarian. I saw a nutritionist who told me that protein is what fills you up and keeps you going. It was a challenge for me, but I got my 80-100 grams a day.
I ended up having a smoothie made with protein powder in the mornings and I got tons of protein and it helped me stay full until lunch. I have no idea what the points would be, but I used frozen strawberries and half a banana with some nonfat yogurt and nonfat milk. I think you could use orange juice and ice cubes instead to get a smooth consistency (because of the milk intolerance). My guess is that without the protein powder it would be about 4 points if you used 1/2 c. strawberries and half a banana with 1/2 c. orange juice and ice cubes.
Are you open to eating soy products? I love the morningstar farms chicken patties (fake chicken) and Gardenburger veggie burgers. Veggie burgers are only 2 points and if you have it on an english muffin (kind of like a bun) it is 4 points for the whole thing. It is a good lunch. Also, the morningstar farms chik nuggets are yummy (for fake meat!).
My last suggestion is stuff made with eggs. I love egg salad and with 2 eggs and some mayo and dijon mustard it is 5 points. You could eat it plain or on some Orowheat light bread (1 point for 2 slices) and it makes a quick and easy lunch that is pretty filling. If you had time (yeah, right) you could scramble eggs or make an omelet with lots of veggies. I know for me, I barely have time to heat a Smart Ones meal in the microwave before the kiddo needs me, and cold eggs are terrible!

protein and complex grains make you feel full longer- I try to eat a lot of that and less of the simple carbs. There are a couple of smoothie recipes on the WW site- I'm finding great recipes there for snacks, meals, etc. Just search for an ingredient you have like eggs or tofu and it'll give you a bunch of ideas.

yes. protein is great fuel for your body- keeps you feeling full for longer. Carbs can give you a full feeling, but not for as long a time.
You could try lean meats, eggs, beans, or nuts/ peanut butter. Canadian bacon is pretty low in fat (and tasty), IIRC.
The WW site is good for some recipes, but I wasn't thrilled with their boards. They weren't all that BF- friendly, IMO.

I've never done WW but I did check their website for the Nursing Moms plan and couldn't find anything. Can anyone tell me about it? I only have about
3-4 stubborn pounds to lose. Would WW be worth it?
Marisa

WW is a great plan for nursing moms, because it allows you to eat a variety of foods, sensibly, and gives you a lot of flexibility for extra points. I believe in the traditional plan you can give yourself 10 extra points per day, or 2 points per feeding.
I think that they do make you go in person for the Nursing Moms plan, there's nowhere to sign up for it on the website, but you could always sign up and then add your points.
CarolinaGirl
04-15-2006, 08:05 AM
So I'd just do the regular plan but add 10 points per day?
Marisa
04-15-2006, 11:18 AM
Exactly. My points were somewhere in the 25 range? That sounds right, but it was a couple of years ago that I was going. :) So I'd take that number and add 10. It's pretty generous! But you burn 500 calories or so per day when your baby is still breastfeeding regularly (for most if not all of the first year).
mel7dog
04-15-2006, 02:56 PM
I'm pretty sure you'd get more than 25 pts per day. The regular WW points for someone who is under 150 is 20 pts per day (I usually had 18-22). With nursing you'd add 10 to that. I found this on the Le Leche League message board
http://www.lalecheleague.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=121&page=2
There is also a lot more info if you do a google search for "WW for nursing Mom's"
Can you tell I am already thinking about dropping this baby weight?! :p

I just started WW and am still nursing. I just do the online thing and add in 10 extra points in on the excersize section. I get 20 points + the 10 for nursing and 35 flex points so lots of food! It's a slow process but it works.

Can I expect to get to my pre-pregnancy weight or should I try? DS is 8 months and I want to lose weight for this summer, but am 7 pounds over my (healthy) pre-pregnancy weight. I am barely keeping up with pumping at work so I don't want weight loss to affect supply....but I really want to lose the extra weight, even 3-4 pounds would be nice.
jengen
04-15-2006, 06:53 PM
holly I think they recommend only losing a half pound to a pound a week, so as not to jeopardize your milk supply. A few of my friends who've BF have said they couldn't lose the last 5 lbs or so until they stopped BF'ing, but only because they were so hungry and ended up eating a lot of crap and not really trying (kinda like what I'm doing now :) ). I don't think it's impossible to get back to your pre-preg weight while BF'ing, though...a lot of people on these boards have posted about getting under their pre-preg weight while still BF'ing.

I started a thread at LLL.org about WW for nursing moms...
http://lalecheleague.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=121
I joined and go to meetings. I only had 5 pounds to lose to get to my (healthy) pre-pregnancy weight. I've lost a total of 16 pounds on the program and feel great (it's been 11 weeks). My body is still different that it was before, but I fit into all of my pre-pregnancy clothes and they fit well, if not a little big.
As far as nursing- I make sure that I drink all of the water I am supposed to and I also take More Milk Plus supplements to keep my supply up. I lost more than .5 pounds a week, but really didn't notice a supply dip when taking the More Milk Plus.

I went back on WW 3 weeks ago. I thought that I wasn't allowed to add any "nursing" points, since DS only nurses a couple times a day (more on the weekends). But after reading the LLL thread, I see that you can add 2 points per session (max is 10 points oer day). Good to know!

Just bumping this up to see if there are any other nursing moms out there on WW right now?
I get an insane amount of points when I add in my extra 10 (still exclusively nursing here) and sometimes find it challenging to eat all of my points. Granted, I get 42 points, so again, it's a ton. I find that it's difficult to eat that many. Usually, I don't feel full though. I'm trying to eat that many every day though, because I don't want to slow down the weight loss.
Today, I find that I'm still only at 28 points. I did do things like switch to skim milk, should I go back to 2% in an effort to add more points? I find myself eating more veggies and fruit when I'm snacking, which are fairly low in points. I'm at the point where I need to go to bed (hello, 2 am!), but I need to eat more points - should I eat chocolate or other bad stuff just to get there?

I just started following WW again this week. I did it a few years ago and lost 40 lbs...so I'm hoping to get back ont rack now after DD.
The problem I'm finding is I'm not eating enough!! I just find I dont have *time* to actually stop and eat every 30 mins, in order to get all my points in. I'm trying to make a conscious effort to eat lunch every day when DD goes down for her nap...but I know I'm totally not eating enough fruits and veggies. :(
Typical day for me is:
37 pnts allowed
breakfast - multigrain bagel, with light cheddar cheese or cream cheese, and jam (8 pnts)
am snack - lf yogurt (1 pnt)
lunch - soup, tuna melt, granola bar (8 pnts)
dinner - grilled chicken, rice, veggies (6 pnts)
= 23 pnts
:(
I really need to eat more, but I don't know what to add, since I find it hard to ge time to eat in the first palce.
LeslieR
01-05-2007, 05:49 AM
I'm still nursing two times a day, so I get 39pts. Since I'm not nursing as much, I guess I have the time to eat.:p I'm a big snacker, so I find that's where I get a lot of my points. My favorite snack these days is-2 wedges of Laughing Cow Cheese (1.5pts) and 6 New London Garlic Melba Toasts (2 points). I still have a few points left at the day, which I've been using for ice cream. 1 Klondike Slim A Bear=1 pt, 2=3pts.

I was just thinking back to when I was nursing every two hours and hungry all the time. Quick snacks were definitely the way to go. I ate a lot of finger foods-cheese- Cracker Barrel sharp cheddar cracker cuts (3 squares-3 pts), string cheese=2pts, peanuts (40=4pts), peanut butter (1T=2pts), snack bars like granola bars or Kashi bar (oatmeal raisin=5pts), hard boiled eggs (1=2pts). That's all I can think of for now. HTH!

I'm subscribing to this thread. I am BFing and I get 31 points. It's difficult for me to get them all in and I feel like I am eating way too much. Also, I am not losing much weight. I know WW is the expert and I will eat what they say I should eat, but I just don't feel like all this eating is getting me any loss. But, I'll stick with it and we'll see how it goes. I did WW all through December and lost pretty much nothing. But after the holidays I started again and I feel like it may be working better this time. Only time will tell!
Once I wean DS I'll lose 10 points and I'll probably lose faster. But, I'm sure it will be dififcult to go from 31 to 21 points! Yikes.:)

Jenn - I feel like I eat all day and am losing weight. It's hard for me to eat all my points, but admittedly, I get way more than you! But, one thing I have noticed is that I am eating way more fruits and veggies in my diet than I was prior to starting WW. I also try to eat whole wheat - pasta and bread. The refined carbs get me.

Do you really add the entire extra 10 points? It just feels like so much food to me!

Baby Girl is almost 4 months old, and it's definitely time for me to start back to WW. I was doing really well until I got pregnant.
I can't wait until I can get back into my old clothes. Right now I have 3 pair of jeans: old fat jeans, new fat jeans, and 1st trimester maternity jeans. Otherwise, I'm rocking the stretchies and the yoga pants.

Question for BFing moms:
Do you really add the entire extra 10 points? It just feels like so much food to me!
It does feel like a ton of food. I ate all my points the first week and lost 10 pounds (I weigh more, so I'm going to lose more that 1 pound per week). The second week, I only lost 3 pounds and there were a number of days that I didn't eat all my points.
It's hard. I want to eat low point foods because they are obviously better for you - less fat and (usually) more fiber.
BUT, I find it hard to fit all the food in some days. And then I think, well, should I eat some chocolate or something like that just to get my points when I'm satisfied, or should I just not eat all my points today? I face this dilema again today - I've got another 19 points I need to eat! Should I quit eating salads and eat more pasta?
Do you all eat something high in points but good for you in that event?

I'm so happy to find this thread! My DS is 7 months and I started WW (At work) two months ago. I only lost 10 pounds in those two months of half-hearted dedicated to the plan and I have another 10 to go. I know the plan well since I lost 65 lbs. in the year before and year after my wedding. And I think that is why I'm so scared to eat those 10 extra "nursing mom" points. It does seem like so much food...but then I worry that not eating them will hurt my supply.
This week I've decided to eat the points and not use any of my flex points just to see if I lose. But, as Jennylou said, it is hard to eat all my points every day. In fact, I haven't done it yet this week! I never thought I would be complaining about having too many points.

Just shy of 5 months. I find that with so many points my supply never took a hit, but make sure you keep your water up.
JennW

Also, what I have heard (and correct me someone if I'm wrong) is it's not the lack of calories (or points) that can tank your supply but rather the sudden decrease in calories. So, if you feel like it is too many points, I'd say decrease them a bit at a time. That's what I've been doing. My supply isn't great but it isn't any worse than it ever was. HTH!:)
jennylou
01-20-2007, 07:12 AM
BethIrish - If you are really concerned about your supply, to the point that you don't want to risk it, I'd suggest to start very slowly. Start by substituting very lean hamburger for regular hamburger. Then skim milk for whole milk (you can even step down to 2%, then 1%). Decrease the amount of butter that you're using. Start cooking using cooking spray, instead of oil or butter, etc. Then, once you find that you've cut most of the ways to cut out like that, start watching portion sizes - particularly of meat and grains.

THanks for posting that, Brenda!! I was curious about daily points allowances :)
Jenny, I'm starting by doing just that. I think I'm going to hold off on starting until after I get back to work (2.7) and things even out. I'm just concerned that starting work & WW in addition to weaning off Reglan in the coming weeks will really affect my supply. The good news is, even though I'm not counting points yet, DH is cooking from a WW cookbook, so its a start :) Thanks for your advice!

Well, I had my first WI of the new session and was up .6. Sucks!
I did only use 1/2 of my alloted nursing points each day but don't know if that is why I didn't lose. I used all of my flexpoints on Saturday and Sunday so it is possible I'm showing a gain b/c my "high points days" were so close to my WI day. Yeah. So, those are my hypothesis as to why I didn't have a good day on the scale.
In any case, my leader suggested sticking with using only half of my nursing points for another week to see what happens. It is so annoying that I tracked all my food intake, stayed on plan, and have a GAIN to show for it. Boo.
jennylou
01-23-2007, 01:28 PM
amurphy - Well, boo. Have you tried eating all of your extra points and just switched to half? Maybe half is too few and you should try eating 7-8 of them? I dunno, I have trouble eating them all sometimes, but I'm trying b/c I figure the folks at WW designed it for a reason. Are you still nursing full time? I've heard someone else say you should be alloting two points for every nursing session. And finally, you didn't mention how your water intake was? Oh, okay, this is really finally - did you eat a lot of foods high in sodium?

Jennylou: I am still nursing full-time. I pump three times on the three days I'm in the office and BF on demand when home with DS. He is talking less BM now that he is eating solid food but I'm keeping up with my pumping schedule so I can continue to freeze BM. I think I'll try to use 5-8 nursing points a day this week. And keep an eye on my sodium intake on the days leading up to WI day. I don't usually eat a high-sodium diet during the week but the snacks I had on the weekend to use my flexpoints were salty--tortilla chips, etc. Lastly, I'm so good with my water intake while I'm in the office but not as good when at home. I worked from home both Friday and Monday before my Tuesday WI so that could have been a factor.
Thank you so much for taking the time to offer suggestions! Hopefully next WI will be better for me!

amurphy - I hope you see some rewards for all your efforts next WI! The reason I am WI on Wednesdays is to prevent that weekend pitfall. ;)

For those who stoped BFing while on WW: How did it effect your losing? Did you lose more or less once you weaned?

Back with results of my second WI. I was down 1 lb. which is pretty good considering my weekend full of wine, eclairs, donuts, etc. I used half my nursing points each day and used half of my flex points for the week. Hopefully I'll get some exercise in this week and see a bigger lose next week. Hope all the other BFing Mom are doing well!

Maybe I should join the main WW thread? It is pretty quiet around here. In any case, I will post this info here in case any other breastfeeding Moms are interested. I continued to use about half of my nursing points (some days I used 3, other days I used 5, etc.) and lost 1.5 this week. I don't think my supply suffered at all either. So, I'm sticking to this plan. If I can drop 1 lb. a week and still feed my boy; I'll be a happy woman. (I'm officially down 10.8 pounds and at the weight I was at my first prenatal appointment. Now I just have to work on getting the 10 lbs. off that I gained over the summer before I concieved!)

amurphy - congrats on the loss! I try to eat all my points, but sometimes miss 2-4, depending. :)

amurphy - adorable avatar.:) i also use about half the nursing points on a typical day, sometimes less. maybe 1 day a week I use them all, but for the most part I just can't eat that much. also, when i was eating them all every single day I wasn't losing. i am in the same situation as you, i'm at my pre pregnancy weight but have to lose the weight i gained before the baby! good luck to you and congrats on your loss so far!

Can someone please tell me what the heck I am doing wrong. I am at 130lbs and have been for about a month now. I have been really good about following my points (30), drinking plenty of water, walking 5 days a week, and I'm doing pretty good on my fruits and veggies. Why am in a rutt? Anyone have any ideas?

mommy2 - i know this is against the WW "rules" but I was in the same rut and did not lose weight for 5-6 weeks. I cut out a few points and it worked without messing up my supply. Congrats on being 130 and with such a young baby!:) That is an accomplishment.

Thanks JennW. I will try that, I was worried about it messing with my supply. This makes me want to give up, ya know? I'm doing all the right things and nothing is happening, I know I just need to be patient.

Are you exercising? Have you measured inches? Perhaps you are losing fat, but gaining some muscle and tone?

mommy2 - I felt the same way - very frustrated. I was worried about supply too (my supply already sucks) so I just gave up 1-2 points a day for the first week and went from there to test out the water, so to speak. Good luck!

Just wanted to check back in and let you know how things are going using 1/2 my "allowed" nursing points. I'm down 14.6 lbs and my supply seems to be just fine. Yay! :D

Just wanted to come back and say I joined online today :) It feels like a ridiculous amount of points that I get, but that seems to be the general consensus around here ;)
I'll be checking back in with everyone periodically!

Well we are in the stages of weaning now so I'm pretty much cutting out all my BFing points. While eating them all seemed like a lot, getting none of them seems like a little. This is hard!:p
Welcome Beth!

I lost another 3 pounds this week--this is after months of 1 lb and <1 lb loses each week. I really do think the weight is coming off because DS is eating more solid food and relying a little less on BM. I'm still BFing on the same schedule we've had for months, but it's like my body finally realized I can get away with less fat stores. Phew!

I just posted in the other thread, but I wanted to expand on my post here :) I had my first weigh in - I'm down six pounds!! I'm doing fairly well with eating my points each day. I dipped in to about 1/2 of my flex points for the week. My supply seems to be doing fine thus far. :)

There are so many WW threads, I wasn't sure which one I should "join". :) Anyway, I'm BFing DS (DC2), he's 5 months old, and I'd like to lose 35#. I joined WW online a couple of days ago. I was on WW several years ago and was in the 18-22 point range. I now have 35 points and while that seems generous, I was hungry the last two days! My supply seems to be fine though. I have/had (it fluctuates now) an oversupply with DS, so I'm not too worried about that. I remember when I was a member a few years ago they didn't even have the extra BFing points online. It's nice to see that they've added them to their web site.

Just wanted to bump up this old thread and see if anyone is currently doing WW and BFing.
I've done Weight Watchers in the past and am very interested in starting again sometime after my baby is born. The points allowance is SO much higher when you're BFing!! When I've done WW in the past I was only allowed 20 points and getting 34 seems like so many! Maybe that will make it easier. :) A few questions:
- Can you do Core while BFing? I haven't tried that program before but am thinking it sounds healthier and more in line with the way I try to eat these days.
- Is anyone doing the online program as opposed to meetings? In the past I've always gone to meetings--- but never really found them beneficial and usually left after the weigh in. With an infant maybe I should just do it online entirely? Do you find that you're as accountable doing WW online as you are when you have to show up at the center?
TIA

I thought I would jump i - this is my second time using WW to lose post baby weight.
With my first it took about 8 months and I lost 40+ lbs using flex points while nursing. I was having alot of trouble getting into it this time and being hungry ALL the time so I have been on core for about 2.5 months and have lost alot. This time I have about 50+ to lose (baby weight plus infertility weight gained during TTC).
The core has been great as I am not hungry and my supply has been fine - the only thing is I use my 35 extra points for items that have a little fat in them. I should note - I did not start this until my DD was 6 months but I am sure I could have done this much earlier.
The other good part is that I do not have to give anything up when she is done nursing because the program is almost the same.
Oh and I am doing it online - with two no time for mtgs and have found it totally works.
Delivery Weight: 240:eek:
WW start weight: 200 3 months post
Core Start weight:188 lb Dec 1, 2007
CW: 173.5lb
Goal: 145lb (155 by DD 1st birthday 5-25)

I am bfing and doing WW. My delivery weight was 195. My WW start weight was 174 and now I'm down (13 weeks later) to 161. I'm a little concerned because I've lost 2.5 pounds each week for the past two, but had several weeks where I didn't lose, so I don't know if that was just my body's way of losing. I'm concerned a little though because my daughter has only gained one pound in the last month - and I don't know if that's because my supply has been affected? She doesn't seem hungry but I don't know...

Going to bed in a second but wanted to post.
I'm currently nursing my almost 2YO and have been back on WW for almost 6 months now. I tried for about a month when he was around 9m but quit b/c I just wasn't able or willing to be on plan again. I've always done Flex and have only done online but we will be moving soon and I hope to finally do group meetings.

I started doing WW when DS was about 4 months - I stopped because it had a definite affect on my milk supply (I had other issues going in to that as well, so I don't think it was all WW!)
Anyway, DS is almost 17 months old. We're still nursing - but only a few sessions a day (2-3, on average.) I just started WW again, but I'm unsure as to whether or not I should add points for those sessions? Anyone with experience in EN want to chime in??
