I just saw this last night and I thought it was a pretty good movie.
I hardly thought it was *too* violent, as some people have commented to me. Geesh, it was just as violent as any other action movie out there.

And even if you don't like the movie itself, you get to sit and watch two of the most beautiful people up on screen for 2 hours. I have a huge girl-crush on Angelina and I was staring at her *more* than Brad, hahaha ;)

I went to see this movie because my DH wanted so see it, but I was pleasantly suprised by how much I liked it. You're right about the violence and it helped "make" the movie, especially when they were destroying their house.

I absolutely LOVE this movie!! I also have a huge girl-crush on Angelina (I'd honestly go lesbian if she'd have me)... And I agree, I don't think the movie would have been as good or been able to get the point across as well without the violence....

Loved the look of the movie, the over-the-top story with the underlying of normal marital issues of feeling like someone who used to know you so well no longer has a clue, and the two stars are HOT! Great chemistry.
And definitely not too violent.

We went to see this today, and I loved it! But what's not to love with two of the hottest people on the planet?! ;) :) And it was funny, too, which is always good in my book. I totally have a crush on Angelina, too, and I loved her character in this. And I agree that they had awesome chemistry. Vince Vaughn played a great supporting character, I thought. Very funny. :)

We went and saw this movie last night and I was surprised at how much I really liked it. Everybody likes to see a little eye candy, right? ;)

I guess I'm in the minority. I saw it a few weeks ago and thought that it took what could have been an interesting premise and destroyed it by turning it into an action movie. Far too violent, for no good reason, in my opinion. I guess I just envision how it could have been done in a Kate Hepburn/Spencer Tracy cool/wry sophisticated way with just a touch of violence, rather than two people beating each other up for 2 hours.

FWIW, the two people I was with liked it. I almost never go to action movies and this confirms why for me...

We went and saw it the first weekend. My teen son wanted to go, go figure  ! I didn't think it was half bad, and they both looked good in my book. I didn't feel like I wasted my money and we'll probably buy it on DVD.
