"If you could give your child anything in the world what would it be.."
Some friends and I were talking about this question today and it was interesting to hear everyones responses...So what would you give..
A safe world to live in!!

That's a tough question! I can think of lots of things I would want my child to have, but can't narrow it down to one single thing.
In addition to everything that has already been mentioned, I would want to give my child health (as in perfect mental and physical health - never having to worry about ADD, depression, eating disorders, terminal illnesses, flu, meningitis, etc.)
Faith, to uphold her no matter what comes her way.

winter biscuit, i agree. health would be most important to me. i was deciding between health and education as jh124 said, but even though i am a teacher by profession and believe so strongly in the importance of education, health appears to be the obvious choice for me, especialy after my seeing my past student (and friend) struggle daily with a life long illness and pass away at age 10. and by education, are we talking about free education in north america that is already every child's right, or advanced education, or a strong education..?

Aw, srnka beat me to it. Health and happiness but I'll also add peace of mind. I guess peace of mind covers of a lot of things but that's what I wish I had sometimes so I wish it for my child too.

What wouldn't I give my children if I could? The list could go on and on. Everyone's responses are great.
I guess I would add....a world where everyone was accepted for their strengths and weaknesses. (Can't we all just get along? :))

Roots and wings.
A moral grounding and a firm belief in her value as a person and a woman, and the desire to go out and experience the many things life has to offer.
